[News] Late For Work 11/24: Baltimore Named As Possible Landing Spot For Colin Kaepernick

81 posts in this topic

Bringing Kaepernick to the team would only lead to controversy and even more chaos. Having two QBs capable of starting, never turns out good for a team.

i don't think there would be any question who would be the starter once joes healthy. The important thing is winning games when he's down. Would yall rather have schaub or kap? I guess we will see how schaub does. But I dont expect much with the weapons ( or lack thereof) around him. Kap will probably go somewhere he can compete to be the full time starter anyway. I see him landing in philly. I also see us signin clausen off waivers later today. Signed, sealed and delivered. I'd rather go with rynner myself but whatever. Edited by January J

If he makes us better then bring him in. I have an open mind to any project that may help us. Until, proven otherwise. Many teams have taken risk that payed off in the long. No risk. No reward. Scared money can't win!

King talked to a few "league people" about Kaepernick coming to the Ravens. "League people" is code for "I just made it up and want to try to give it some credibility becuz no one believes my spew anymore"

As for Monroe, he is the biggest disappointment vis-a-vis free agency period. He is a workout warrior with no functional strength and doesn't have the motivation to play. That is evidenced by him sitting out after a mosquito bite!

Sad how many no show fraud Ravens fans there were for the Rams game. 45,000 to start the game and 20,000 at the end to see Tucks game winner. SAD. I'm guessing the Steelers game Dec 27th will be like a home game for them.

Kaepernick likely will wind up in Philly to run Kelly's lack of offense. It will be easier for him to retain Chips 5 play playbook.

Why not just draft a backup QB late rounds? Thats what successful franchises do.

We've done that twice in the past few years with Wenning and Renner, neither one of them lasted.

if schaub is sharp and productive the rest of the season than what would happen to all the excuses being said about flacco having weak receivers, o-line, weak running game etc..etc.. going to be interesting the rest of the season

Monroe has been a gianormous let down. IDK if he wants to get it right and that's most most alarming thing. I think he likes to be in the gym... and I think he is a workout warrior but I am not yet convinced that he is a warrior! His play on the field looks as if he likes to battle weights bc they don't hit back. IDK ... but he seems to have less of a fire with live opposition? That concerns me. Especially if we lose KO next season! Urschel is solid and could easily start at G but KO is nasty and has that killer instinct. While Monroe is out... he should be forced to watch KO and Yanda film footage....

Well it does seem Maryland and California have something going on. We give them our good players while we get theirs........

Kelly will be our next OC.

Fans need to show up! Remember Colts and what happened with them? We have much better ownership though but still it makes you wonder. Is this because of one bad season? We truly are spoiled rotten. You can't win every year unless you cheat like the Pats. We are not cheaters. Things will be better hopefully next season but in the meantime support support support!! Go Ravens!

It was a sad sight to see, and just to let everyone know there were quite a few empty seat way before the 4th quarter also, I know my section was a ghost town by the 4th quarter, but regardless of what the season is looking like I'll always be up in my section 516 supporting my team, I have been there every game since the new stadium opened back in 98... Sadly I've been saying it for a while just how spoiled this fan base is and how truly overrated of a fan base we have here, I have been to over 15 different stadiums to watch and support our Ravens, and the majority of those other fan bases would love to have the type of success our Ravens have accomplished in just 20 seasons

"Other options outside of Clausen include Christian Ponder, Jason Campbell, Jordan Palmer and Ryan Lindley, per Zrebiec."

In other words, nobody who would offer an upgrade over Koch :)

U know what Hensley, fans spend large sums to go to a Ravens game and for the most part they've been rewarded w teams that are competitive and always have given 110%. But the undisciplined and at times poorly coached mess of a team we have this year, especially given the lousy 59 minutes of play last Sunday gives the Paying fans all the reason they need to leave early or boo or not go at all to the game. Having said all that, i do love and respect my Ravens but this years team is a serious bust...

Just for the sake of correctness: Renner went undrafted, then picked up as an UDFA by the Broncos.

If Kaepernick ever plays a snap as a Raven, I'm boycotting this team. Stick to the 49ers and Beats headphones. I'll take Flacco and First Mariner Bank.

Why not give Christian Ponder a shot? If Trestman is the QB whisperer he is, then he should be able to get the most out of a former 1st round pick. Ponder's playing style and strengths are similar to Flacco's, so our system would not change much. And not to mention that he'd cost next to nothing at this point.

Jimmy Clausen was recently released and has familiarity with Trestman.

What he doesn't seem to have is an ability to play QB on NFL level :(

Without reading anything you wrote AT ALL and just by going on what the title said. OMG if the Ravens sign Kapersnapper I will NEVER BE A RAVEN FAN AGAIN! literally taking multiple steps back when you go with kaepernick only thing he has is a high contract price with minimal payout and multiple turnovers.
