im not talking about schaub and flacco.

im asking you if you think there is no difference...

I think the answer to that is obvious, especially when I never even remotely suggested they were the same or similar

Strange how the infallible Rodgers suddenly looks very ordinary when his OL plays like poo and his receivers dont get open. I thought he could carry a team on his own?? I wonder if the Pack fans are "using that as an excuse and blaming everyone but him" for his pedestrian performances?

yawn...

Are we really having a "Is Schaub better then Joe conversation?"  What bthe hell is wrong with you people?

ha, well, some of us believe Flacco is a glorified game manager along the lines of Cutler, Cousins, etc...I'm wondering if we should require mental fitness testing before you are allowed to post :D

The '...I rather have Schaulb to make a playoff run than Flacco,,,," thing is just not worthy of comment for me. Get well soon Joe.

That said, I think that last pick-six Schaulb threw may have been his last for his career (just a feeling).

Just looking at his reactions immediately when it left his hand (he knew it was a mistake), when it was picked and returned (he felt the weight of his entire career being dumped on him) and after the KickSix (he looked as though he was humbled, reflective and determined to never let that happen again).

Just a thought.

So the four back to back previous games where he threw a pick six didn't give him that epiphany?

It's just a feeling, but sometimes an 'epiphany' like that requires unpercedented and unique outcomes to evoke reformation. That KickSix that followed was one of those events. By the eye-test, I don't think he's ever won a game after a PickSix. There's no way he couldn't have been transformed. Not after a win like that. If that doesn't give cause for pause and reflection you're not breathing. Look at his reactions as I've described.

Just a feeling, but I expect a reboot.

He was injured in the fourth quarter and the Ravens then subsequently scored ten points

he played only 60% of the defensive snaps.

so yeah i do consider 40% a good part.

BTW after he went out we still failed to score a TD on the last drive of normal game time that would have won the game and we went 3 and out in OT.

we actually scored 21 points when haden was around and would be 24 if tucker did not  miss a FG.

So again its really hard to argue haden made the difference.....

No doubt, and it is bewildering how these guys can never get open when Flacco is playing :D. I dont have much faith either, especially after what I saw, but who knows, stranger things have happened....he's one of us, so I want to see him succeed

Yes, magically the receivers just happen to be more open suddenly with Schuab on the helm...

No one is going to tell you Schuab is better than Joe.

Relax...but i will say this..Joe isn't that great at looking at the field. He has been incredibly stupid when it came down to eyeing one target at a receiver this season.

Haden certainly does make a big difference, but it's hardly worth arguing since I don't think anyone is arguing that Schaub is better than Flacco, so... Or at least, I'm not, and I'm just saying there is a difference between having Haden (your best CB) vs not having Haden.

im not saying schaub is better.

and yes a healthy haden certainly makes a difference.

however haden has not been healthy at all this season and certainly has not played up to his ability at all.

you can look it up but he has been struggling since trainings camp with injuries.

he missed trainings camp with hamstring injuries then had a broken right ring finger and rib contusion in week 3 that made him sit out week 4 before returning in our game in week 5.

all in all played part in him missing snaps in our game before leaving with a concussion in the 4th.

he then went out to miss week 6 and 7 before playing week 8 only to be out again.

he is probably back for the week 13 match up.

tramon the other starting CB played 67 snaps in our week 5 game.

haden played 42.

dansby and whither played the most with 70 snaps each.

this is without counting special teams snaps.

i mean look no further then jimmy and webb if you wanna see how injuries can diminish a CBs effectiveness.

But again, I was just saying that having Haden in the lineup, even if it's for only 60% of the snaps, makes a difference.

If you wanna take that argument further or discuss further, go for it, but I'm just saying Haden makes a difference. That's all

cool lets just ignore the fact that he was injured/banged up and pretend  he was healthy and played at his pro bowl/all pro level....

Again, he makes a difference in their game plan, no matter how you want to slice it. He wasn't playing at his normal level, but the Browns love him and they have enough trust to rotate safety help away from his side.

But again, all I've ever said is that he makes a difference, and a big one in how that defense plays. Again, if you want to argue further, be my guest, but I haven't said anything like he was playing at an All-Pro level or played well. That would be all you talking about his play.

So anyone miss Flacco yet?

Yet another Pick Six and a 2 INT game. Absolutely nothing on offense at all.

Schaub is on a roll.

Schaub plays next week ?

If they were going to try to limit his incentives I think they would have sat him this week. AT this point does it matter? Isn't Clausen next in line? He isn't any better.

I kind of feel badly for Schaub. So much for him trying to prove he should still be a starter in the NFL.

I think it looked close to being a concussion a few times. Wouldn't have been surprise if those new guys who supposedly are looking for that every game put down their free daquiris and stopped the game.

I miss my boy Tyrod Taylor who is shining like new coins in Buffalo.  He's the one that many cats in here said...ummm.....what was that term they loved to use again?  Oh yeah!  "He isn't the answer as our backup!"  How ya'll haters like him now?

Just had to get that in right quick!

As far as Matt "Pick 6" Schaub?  In my Dennis Green voice; "He is what we thought he was!  And we signed him anyway!"

Mainly he wasn't the answer at back-up here because if this happened that Flacco was out any significant time, it wasn't just a matter of simplifying the offense as they have with Schaub. It would be a matter of having to do a major overhaul to the offense. Only because Tyrod & Flacco are not the same type of QB in any fashion.

Yeah he is what he thought he was that's for sure!

I kinda wish Taylor was here this year that way he could've started and probably got us a better compensatory pick. That one sucks

I know!  Just mentioned Tyrod cause Schaub is playing like trash!  Like we figured he would!

I'm glad Tyrod is elsewhere to be honest!

I love seeing Tyrod succeed. He got a chance to move to a new spot where they were eager to give him a TON of offensive weapons and play to his strengths. He is not letting them down after all that like some do. He's been a lot of fun to watch. Any chance he results in a comp pick? Please...

Not likely but if he goes to the pro bowl who knows. While we are on the subject of pro bowls, vote for the former Ravens FAs today
