[News] Ravens Promote WR Chuck Jacobs, Waive WR Joe Morgan

20 posts in this topic

From this point forward, I'm not going to pay too much attention to roster moves. It is what it is. The front office has to do what is best to put forth a good and viable 53 man roster. This doesn't mean a winning roster, but a competitive one. I just want us to pick in the top 5 next year so we can start building talent into our roster.

Yea we have a lot of sensitive fans on here. What really gets them pissed is when you speak the truth..Dont speak the truth!! Lol

You gotta say simple things like "Go Ravens Go!" or "Fire pees"  Thats all some of them want to hear Lol, They don't like controversial comments Lol

We are going to have a high draft pick every round this offseason, so our staff and scouts should have NO EXCUSE for drafting bust players. This is our opportunity to make something happen out of this unfortunate season, don't waste it.

I think a move for another Offensive Lineman or Running Back would have been better.

If Chris Matthews played for us like he did in the super bowl. I like this pickup

He was 4 for 8 =54 yards. i would not get your hopes up too far.

the way we are going through players, it's like throwing spit balls against the wall and see who sticks....

Imagine getting a WR with the No. 1 pick. DESTRUCTIVE OFFENSE...

highly doubt we'd take a receiver with the #1 overall pick. Maybe in the 2nd.

Instead of looking for a wide out with the first pick which has gone just oh so swimmingly with this franchise, I think it is time to look for the best pass rusher you can find either at DE or OLB to replace either Suggs, Dumervil, or Courtney Upshaw. Suggs and Dumervil because of age, and Upshaw because he's not really a rusher, he's more of a run stopper and I think this is the last year of his rookie contract. The Ravens aren't going to spend money on him nor should they.

If there isn't one slated to go at the time the Ravens pick, then it is time to look for a franchise LT if there is one in the draft. Monroe is always banged up and we might not be signing Osemele who also has his fair share of injuries. Draft your LT, play him at LG until Monroe's contract is up just like they did with Ogden years ago.

If there isn't a pass rusher or LT, then look for a stud shut down CB if there is one. The Ravens are playing around with moving Webb out to safety anyway and who knows if Jimmy Smith will ever look like he did before he broke his foot.

If no players like that exist, trade down and get a couple of picks.

Right now Ozzie seems to be holding early WO auditions so that we can cheap out in the first round and during free agency. He seems to be looking for the "not great but good enough" type player. It doesn't sound good but the sad fact is that we are in the process of sifting through league's garbage hoping to find something worth keeping. WO is not and will never be a priority for Ozzie.
