[News] Matt Schaub: I'm Absolutely Ready

69 posts in this topic

We shouldn't feel bad about Perriman. After watching Buffalo and New England and looking at what the Bills gave up for Sammy Watkins and to not even get the ball to him was pretty pathetic. New England obviously has a plug and play system. They keep losing guys but their backups seem to come through or maybe that's coaching? Look at Malcolm Butler undrafted and playing lights out. Even our #1 cb isn't playing that well.

After reading some of the comments here, I was hoping more fans would get behind Matt in his starting role now that Joe has gone out for the season...... I recall the 2013 season in Houston for Matt, and he started the year very well 2-0 in great comeback games; he lost the next 2 games, one to us and us just coming off a Super Bowl win, and one to the Seahawks who were headed for a Super Bowl win that year. He lost the next game, and on an early October day, a mob of lunatic Houston fans went to Matt's home, and threatened him and his family...... It is no wonder his play on the field went downhill after that, not to mention he sustained a moderate ankle injury. I know the fans of our Ravens are so much better than these so-called fans in Houston, and all I am saying is give Matt the chance to prove himself here. His career in football up till that 2013-2014 seasons speaks MUCH louder than what happened to him those 2 not-so-good years....... Hopefully he will get his confidence back and do well, but he is a winner, a very good QB, and he deserves the chance.

I think Matt Schaub will give us a decent effort.

I agree (although I see us running much more or at least until they stack the line).

Matt will do very well after a drive or two Joe had all the time in the world and threw one INT after another! Joe throw lame passes and they are way off target he throws his hands up like it's always the WRs fault when it's not just like throwing our Super Bowl away last season and everyone blamed Torrey not over here where I live everyone said he threw our season away and now we "FINALLY" get to see someone else under center because I really feel Joe is done look at the rams game he almost gave it away but the Defense stood tall! Matt will lite it up unless they hold him back to make Joe look good! QB Controversy in Baltimore! Joe is done it's on film for you haters! Come watch the game with me in Cleveland I met fans from Bmore and took pictures with them after a win if course! Don't hold Matt back and he will FLOURISH!

I, also, hope that Matt will flourish. I Always hope that for All our Ravens players. But, Dawg, you're a Hard man! Joe Flacco has won So many more games than you claim he has lost for us. Honestly, can't you see that? Just look at All the records he holds for his outstanding, and unparalleled, play in his first years in the NFL. I mean, he holds a Lot of records, man! And do you Really believe that the Ravens would Purposely hold Matt back to make Joe look good? And if the team even tried, do you honestly think that Matt would follow along with that? He has the rest of his career to think about. I can't believe, for even one second, that Matt would not go out there and try his absolute best to perform to the best of his abilities. I really think that your disappointment of losing that One game that would have given us a spot in the Super Bowl has made you extremely bitter towards Joe. You blame him for that One pass, disregarding Every other play that happened in that game that helped contribute to its outcome. It seems like ever since then, you look for everything you can find to pin on Joe that will portray him in a bad light. I think that you are in the vast minority that actually think that Joe is "finished", as you say. Some like him more than others. And some aren't fans of him at all. But, I really believe that you are in a class of your own when it comes to "Flacco Haters." Dawg, there are a LOT of QBs in this league, starting QBs, that are not nearly as good as Joe is. And there are a Lot of teams in this league that would Gladly trade their starting QB for Joe Flacco. I just think that your opinion of him might be just a bit clouded. You don't have to be a big fan of his, but for our teams' sake, you should probably try to get behind him a bit more and hope for him to be successful, because I seriously doubt that the Ravens have No plans to replace him any time soon as our starting QB.

I truly admire this post and wish more people would get on board with this sentiment. I would like to remind you, though, that you were responding to a guy in Cleveland. I've never known anyone in Cleveland to be able to evaluate QBs.

Or maybe Ogden, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Suggw, Ngata, Yanda and 2 SBs.

Too soon for Perriman

Kindle, oher - this season told us a lot about Perriman over a simple sprain as Harbs called it.
