[News] Javorius Allen Excels As New Ravens Starting Running Back

40 posts in this topic

"Allen had 22 yards, including a 14-yard catch and run" Man did the Ravens lower the bar on their team. Next time will be saying he caught the ball and fell over the scrimmage line and gained a yard. He's great! Excellent.

Perhaps you should read the whole article. He had 22 yrds rising and 14 yrds receiving on the td drive. For the game he had 67 yrds rushing, and 48 receiving

Hate to break it to you, Mink, but Allen didn't "excel as our new starting running back".

Over 100 all purpose yards against one of the toughest, if not the toughest front in football...what exactly would you call it?

Offensive linemen are more important than a running back. If you don't have a great line, its not gonna matter who is the running back. We need to secure an exceptional left tackle.

While I don't disagree with you, the Cowboys tried to make that same argument

Allen gets his chance to grow and Schaub gets his chance to see what he can do but it just stinks that it had to happen this way with Forsett and Flacco going down.

To me, Allen's best chance for success is to be used in the same way that Trestman used Forte in Chicago. Schaub will have to rely heavily on Allen if this offense is going to have any chance to succeeding moving forward.

First let me say I am not a Buck Allen fan. I never thought much of him. After him stepping in, he was at first what I expected. Ho hum. However, as he got more carries and more time on the field, he improved a lot. His vision and adjustments skyrocketed. Good for him. Maybe all he needed was a chance. I saw a lot of positives evolve. While it is too soon to start this rah rah crap on him, he won me over with his effort and preformance.

that Jacksonville game is looming big right now, if the refs called it right we be one game back form the sixth seed position.

Should not even remotely discussing playoff position. We don't have enough talent on this team right now to make the playoffs.

If we were 6-4 right now, I'd say our chances of making the playoffs would be slim to none.
