[News] Late For Work 11/23: You Won't Believe What Hardcore Flacco Did, And Internet Has Mad Respect

105 posts in this topic

If he gets released, which is possible, his cost will be whatever another team deems him worthy to be paid.

You'd have to understand the business side of things. And that player agents are good at negotiating a players worth. Given the fact that, it is Kap a SB contender QB, that has not had any major injuries, he still has value. I met the agent for Bernard Pierce and Jeromy Miles, those guys are good at being persuasive and "selling" their clients to teams. So I can only imagine the kind of agent Kap must have, being he is a QB.

Its all about knowing how to talk to people, its a gift that some people have. But i digress

Not going to go back and read all the comments about Rice, what's done is done. But I will say this - there are 31 other teams that choose not to sign him. I will also say that he was done dirty by the Ravens, they knew what the video showed and chose to let him stay and then when the video was released they choose to release him.

This is one of the things I love about our Joe Cool. He would scoff at being called courageous, for playing the next few plays after the injury occurred. He is one of the most laid back, humble guys in any sport.! Nothing is too big of a deal for him, and that's why when the preasure is way up Joe's excellence shines !

Good luck with your surgery and recovery Joe ! ! !

Hurry back...

why would you draft a new starter at QB just because Flacco MIGHT finally miss a few games in the beginning of next season? that makes no sense.

Imagine drafting another WR with the first pick. We would end up with Smith, Perriman, (No.1 WR),(3 great TE's), (3 Solid RB's), Flacco, Good OL. and every other player being healthy. Ravens can definitely win the SuperBowl next year...

There is NO sense in not bringing in Bryn Renner. He knows the system, cheap, and he is just a backup to a bad season. To pay a another "veteran" for this season would be just dumb.

You gotta love Joe Flacco! This man had a shredded knee and stayed on the field to help his Ravens win. He could have just laid on the field or limped to the side lines. We were 2-7 with basically nothing to play for but our QB showed all of us what the Ravens have to play for. Pride, dignity, heart, and spirit. Flacco is a great leader. You don't have to do the pregame huddle or have a signature pregame dance to be a leader for our Ravens. No disrespect to THE 52 but it's moments like what Flacco did that shows leadership. Rehab, Rebuild, Return, and Rise. Flacco 5 forever.

I agree. I thought that would be the obvious move but evidentally not.

And Just curious..would yall rather have schaub or kaepernick as our backup for joe next year? I know who I'd rather have.. Not that it's a likely scenario anyway. But yeah I would immediately start Brynn rynner in a lost season to see what he's got and start developing him to be the backup next year. If we still had a shot at the playoffs I'd go with schaub but we might as well start building for the future and a backup qb is important for next year. Not sure if schaub will be back but we will see.

Can't believe I was suckered in to that! "The Internet has Mad Respect..."

Thought that would mean a bunch of people NOT associated with the Ravens, but turns out the "Internet" that had "mad respect" for Joe ended up being Quadry Ismail (former Raven), John Harbaugh (head coach), Sarah Ellison (Br.com writer)....

I think Joe is smarter than he is given credit for. Because of his laid back nature he doesn't flaunt the things he does so people don't know and think he is stupid.

I don't know who Cam Inman is or what he's thinking, but there is absolutely no way any team in the league would take on Kaepernick's contract. That dude is getting cut if he passes his physical. And I doubt he wants to go to a team where he has almost no chance to start after he's cut.

I don't know a few of his throws this past Sunday (2 of which were INT's) were pretty stupid throws and he had been throwing stupid throws all season!  He was on pace to break is INT record!!!
