[News] Late For Work 11/23: You Won't Believe What Hardcore Flacco Did, And Internet Has Mad Respect

105 posts in this topic

An out-of-the-box idea: in 2016, let's put someone on the Ring of Honor every home game! Why? The last 7 HOF-induction games:

Ed Reed's ROH-induction in 2015: STL 13 BAL 16 W

Todd Heap's ROH-induction in 2014: CAR 10 BAL 38 W

Ray Lewis's ROH-induction in 2013: HOU 9 BAL 30 W

Jamal Lewis's ROH-induction in 2012: CLE 16 BAL 23 W

Matt Stover's ROH-induction in 2011: CIN 24 BAL 31 W

Jonathan Ogden's ROH-induction in 2008: OAK 10 BAL 29 W

Peter Boulware's ROH-induction in 2006: CIN 20 BAL 26 W

That's 7 W's of 7 games... And we've got McAllister, JJ, Mason, Bart Scott and Matt Birk all ROH-worthy IMHO, plus we could put on the HOF players like Suggs, Yanda, Flacco and Boldin "in-advance" - and that would guarantee us 8 W's for the season :D

Now that Peyton Manning indicated he's planning to play in 2016 even if not in Denver, I wonder when someone comes up with the idea of reaching out for him :D

Now THAT would be interesting. Having some Peyton Manning defense reading skills rub off on Joe. Yes.

McAllister would have been but I think burned too many bridges, Mason should be, Scott burned bridges, Boldin wasn't here long enough and honestly people give him too much credit for average production while he was here. He never had a great year as a Raven.

I'd like to see Brynn rynner as well. Who knows - he could possibly blossom into a real talent and become next years official backup. He has shown flashes and kind of looked like a young Flacco. Not sure how I feel about kaepernick.. It's possible he could return to his old form with a change of scenery... Obviously he was right on the cusp of a super bowl victory..he's still got it in him somewhere...and that speed. If we just let him be him and ground and pound it may not actually be a bad thing..and remember it would probably only have to be for a few games until Flacco came back when he'd then become the backup. It's not a horrible idea...much rather have him than gross man or ponder. Let's see how schaub holds up the rest of this season and we'll worry about this in the offseason. Hopefully it's not a severe tear and he can make it back in time for atleast a few weeks of camp or some preseason to build a rapport with the receivers.

wow now that's a thought. Somebody else will definitely outbid us though I'm sure. And if he does well do we go back to Flacco when he's healthy? The last thing I want is a qb controversy- I don't want to become the Redskins , Texans , or Browns. You have to know who the leader is without a doubt or it creates division in the Locker room and just bad vibes.

I'll share my thoughts. If there was such a thing as karma in football, the NE would be 0-10 right now, not 10-0.

You have some proof of NE wrong-doing or are you just envious of their success?

Ravens flock.. I can not believe your post. The man stayed in the game in tremendous pain and all you can think about is replacing him. Flacco certainly isn't perfect and no QB is but he brought respect and a SB to Bmore with his hard work and great character. Show some respect because he deserves it! Go Ravens.

Karma for what? Deflate gate, because the situation with Ray Rice is much more damaging and personal on and off the field, than some ball with less air in it.  We are talking about a family's life.

And Brady beat the case...so yeah Lol

Flacco is a don. Smoothe as cream cheese on a bagel. His constant demeanor just baffles me. I'm proud to have him as our qb. Anybody would struggle throwing to practice squad and udfa receivers who can't get separation or run routes. And he STILL was on pace for well over 4000 yards. People can hate all they want but he is our guy.

I'd also be in favor of promoting Daniel brown ..he may turn out to be that diamond in the rough who knows. Not much to lose now.

Receiving corps next year could be :

1)FA or somebody who's released...Vincent Jackson, desean Jackson , garçon, alshon Jeffrey , etc.

2) SSS

3) perriman

4) Aiken

5) camp

6) Waller, givens or brown ( Daniel)

I'd be more than satisfied with a group like that.

or maybe the real karma hasn't set in yet...
Brady could go down in the divisional and be out for the start of next year and we could go on to win it all!

Yeah karma doesn't exist.

Flacco needs better weapons bro. We need a Anquan Boldin or Julio Jones type of receiver to mix in with Perriman. If SSS returns, and we KEEP him, then thats potentially even better. But if I was in charge of building this team for next season, I would swap out Aiken and Camp for tougher, and more reliable WR's. Aiken has made some plays tho, so I wouldn't mind seeing him as that last wr on the board next season. He would make a great #4

Ray Rice karma. We kicked him and his family to the curb, the gods have kicked our season, and key players to the curb (IR)

Seriously, if there were real karma, the P*ts would be 0-10. I think this is voodoo by P*ts fans who still think we had anything to do with them getting caught cheating.

boldin may even be an option but he's getting up there in age. No way we can afford a Julio. Alshon Jeffrey is most likely out of our range too unless we slacked off on another area of the team which isn't the best idea. I'd actually draft another receiver in the 2nd as well. I'm telling you man if we get rid of camp another team is going to pounce and turn him into a star. We need to give him one more shot in camp. If he gets injured again by all means cut him. But I think he was just getting over the hamstring stuff by doing yoga and this latest injury was just a random freak thing. Next season could be his year and I think he will take this offseason extremely seriously to get his body ready Bc he knows this will likely be his last shot. I'm tellin you he could turn into a beast in the slot.

Bad karma doesn't exist...see New England Patriots for proof...

I really don't know how you guys can even bring up the patriots as "proof of no Karma".

Im going to speak some truth to you guys right now......so get ready....

You all are just being Patriot & brady haters. The same way a lot of people used to be Ray Lewis haters. I understand because  I used to be a Brady-Hater myself. But over the past couple years, I have grown to really respect and LOVE BRADY. That guy is an unbelievable athlete, team player, and leader.

You guys have to grow out of that simple mindset. Because you're no different than the people that hated on Ray Lewis.

So really?? Deflate gate??? I never cared about it when it happened, and it is so outrageously stupid that it is still being mentioned smh. Seriously? a deflated ball LOL.

I don't think you'll get bad karma for a ball being deflated.

You guys do understand that Ray Rice thought about committing suicide!! This is sad. Trying to compare a less inflated ball to a mans life is so immature it makes no sense.

Somethings are more important than a simple game of football.

Ray Lewis got into an incident 4 years into his career that could have ruined his career and life. He made it through, made amends to the ones he hurt, even though he was proven innocent, and the Ravens brought him back, and we all know what happened after that..legendary.

Ray Rice gets into an incident with his girlfriend, he makes amends with the one he hurt, then later married her, but the Ravens didn't bring him back, because they thought it would be bad publicity?

I know for a fact it has caused a ripple effect on Ray Rice's family and the close ones around him.

My gosh, I did not mean to type this much Lol...

plus Aiken & camp are extremely cheap. Who you gonna find better for the price were paying for them?

He is saying that Kaepernick could be had by trade as a Back up to Flacco not as his replacement. It's fantasy because Kaepernick would go somewhere to start.

Thank you for explaining that. I don't think Kap will be anybody's back-up next season. He still cost too much.

If he gets released, which is possible, his cost will be whatever another team deems him worthy to be paid.

No no no LOL, I'm not saying sign Boldin or Julio. Im saying we need to draft players like that. There are a lot of rookie WR's that are making big plays this season......except Perriman smh

Thats why we have to draft them, get em while their young. Same way we did with Torrey. Our scouts and staff guys do a poor job of drafting WR's.

Most good WR's get taken in the early rounds. Now that we have early draft picks, there is no excuse for our guys to draft anymore bust players.
