Flacco out for season

856 posts in this topic

I'm hoping the fact he walked off the field by himself is a sign the tear is small and he can come back by opening day/camp.

You can't next man up with this team the way it is now.   We have basically at this point lost every playmaker on offense.

I suppose anything is possible, but when they say torn ACL, it'd usually full on tear

The only thing that can happen now to make this season worse would be for Ozzie to pick up Kaepernick in a trade.

Lol who would you rather have? Him or Shaub?

I just can't believe Flacco stayed in the game like that in what must have been unbearable pain to get the W ... Nobody can ever question that mans toughness. That tells me he will attack this rehab to come back stronger than ever.

I'm pretty pissed about this. I just hope he comes back in time. I think he could be back in time for camp if he heals well and the surgery is soon. He's a QB and he's been exceptionally durable. This could actually be great for him long-term since he'll have to relearn mechanics and may actually come back better. Tom Brady came back better after his.

This will be the first time Flacco will be on the sidelines holding a clipboard, after his surgery of course. Maybe the mental side of his game will improve with downtime....mental reps

I'm mad his streaks broken and I'm mad we won, but you could be right.

He won't be on the sideline. They don't allow crutches

Didn't AP tear his in December and come back for opening day? RGIII, a running quarterback, made his debut on opening day after tearing his in the wild card round. ACL tears are bad, but they aren't career killers anymore

Yeah he had his surgery in December I believe.

Good points Grim. I see no reason why he couldn't be back for the start of next season because he's never had a major injury before. His mechanics were really bad this season so he can sit back and get prepared mentally and physically. I know he's going to be hungry!

It'd be fantastic if you were right and the tear were just a partial one. All we can do is hope and get really good at regrowing fingernails.

Sam Koch.  Dead serious.

Yeah, I just read that as well, hilarious. Sadly, Schaub is not that much better ...

Please LORD allow us to lose out. At this point our franchise is CRUMBLING with all these injuries. We need the highest draft pick we possibly can get.

Just run the ball every damn play or something haha I am absolutely losing it right now because of all these damn injuries. Most depressing season I have ever experienced.

I swear if I hear Harbaugh say "we're gonna continue to fight it out" I might die.

Unreal season

We scored 13points and won..Flacco is not end all be all.

You still need a ton of players to grow and mature and get exp for next season. Still need to see how our season pan out.

Crying to tank the season for #1 draft pick is a sorry way out.

I want us to try. Too much pride for our guys just to lie low and accept getting punched in the face and forced to stay in the corner...

Yeah. I read an article the other day that Palmer came back with better footwork and movement after his injury. I'll see if I can dig it up again. I'm optimistic. He's been durable all this time so the chances of him being a fast healer are better than most. Edited by GrimCoconut

I don't expect us to win out or win another game.

But I want them to. I want them to fight, because IMO, if our injured guys come back healthy, and we show we have the stretch to steal a few more wins if not all of them? We'll be a juggernaut next year. Pride is a wonderful thing if people have it.
