Flacco out for season

856 posts in this topic

Weird that his final stat line this season looks almost identical to his rookie season. I can't believe this happened in Week 10. C'mon, man. September return is almost overly optimistic.

kurt warner can be tempted :P

Didn't AP tear his in December and come back for opening day? RGIII, a running quarterback, made his debut on opening day after tearing his in the wild card round. ACL tears are bad, but they aren't career killers anymore

My concern as well.

I need him to get on the phone with Palmer and Rivers so he can see how they dealt with it.

It's all that matters at this point, his long term health. Flacco still has a lot of years left in him, lets get that knee right. If those guys can come back and be productive we know Flacco will, guy is a true warrior.

Every team has at least 2 wins this season. TEN, SD, CLE last teams with 2 wins. Doubt one of them loses out. We can easily end up #1 and top 3 at worst imo.

We also have to check the tiebreaking procedures against the Niners and the Lions. The Niners have Blaine Gabbert at QB, very possible they lose all games.

Definitely not as bad as they used to be, but the MCL is an added wrinkle in the situation.

Head to head puts them behind the Ravens if they finish with the same record

Please LORD allow us to lose out. At this point our franchise is CRUMBLING with all these injuries. We need the highest draft pick we possibly can get.

Just run the ball every damn play or something haha I am absolutely losing it right now because of all these damn injuries. Most depressing season I have ever experienced.

I swear if I hear Harbaugh say "we're gonna continue to fight it out" I might die.

Unreal season

It's like the football gods feel Harbaughs been playing chicken with them so they took our qb. His we'll keep fighting speech is getting players taken out like clockwork.

Especially for a QB. They are far worse for WR/CB who need to make a lot of sharp cuts. This sucks but I don't think it will have any significant impact on Joe's career. Brady has had some amazing seasons post-ACL.

Well, at least now every single fan will truly see how valuable he is.

Get a real good look at life without Flacco guys. It CAN be a lot, lot, lot, lot, lot worse.

Yes AP did it in December and came back week 1. Its funny I was watching Gale Sayer on Football Life talk about his knee tear, and how the doctors were in the stone ages compared to now. Point is, knee repairs are routine now and the rehab process is tremendous. A guy like Flacco should be able to recover very well.

We need a pass rusher more than anything else

Yeah we certainly do, but protecting Joe should be our #1 priority.  Monroe is constantly injured and Osemele will probably leave in free agency.  Now that Joe has suffered his first serious injury, protecting him becomes even more important.  Either way this team has an unbelievable amount of problems and one offseason probably wont fix it all

Upgrade over Kaepernick, yeah I said it.

Joe will come back stronger than ever. This is really stupid of me saying this but this helps in draft position and contract talks.

It sucks for the Ravens but in a way epitomizes how much bad luck has befallen this team. Hope you get well soon and come back stronger than ever Joe!

That's what Brooks suffered and he made his preseason debut

I hope you are right and Brooks made a really quick recovery from the same injury this year.  Joe was the one Ravens player I always thought would be out there.

Patriots fans are literal trash. Dumb talk about "karma" everywhere.

And you only figured that now? That whole organization is despicable garbage.

I imagine they'll be a little more cautious with the franchise QB, though.  He's not out of the running to start the season of course, but it's going to be a tight race to week 1.

I'm hoping the fact he walked off the field by himself is a sign the tear is small and he can come back by opening day/camp.

You can't next man up with this team the way it is now.   We have basically at this point lost every playmaker on offense.
