They say he's going to be out in Florida for rehab.  I'm going to find him and hound him for tickets.

Figures, just when i move out of FL

He better dang well be throwing that ball around that recovery room.

Better be bringing his WRs along to rehab with him.

...a reminder for those with short term memory..

hard to find a legit QB, wasted many good/great defenses with bums at the position. if we had Flacco in 2006 when Peyton beat us with 5 FGs we might have 3 SBs at least

I'm surprised no one said that the surgery was only servicable and "slightly" above average... :P

Lol. Get better Joe

Hopefully it was his left leg that was holding him back from  being elite  For Brees it was his throwing shoulder and he's played better ever since.  For Brady it was the surgical removal of air from his balls.

Hope it all went great.  I can say that having been through an ACL recon myself I was a better athlete afterward and I think that MOST athletes learn how to take better care of themselves through this process.

Maybe we'll see a Joe 2.0 in 2016?

Sounds painful.

Why is it that our WR's are playing MUCH better WITHOUT Joe? I know he has severe tunnel vision but jeez. It's like a whole different WR core now.

We are clearly playing to their strengths and scheming them properly now. I'm convinced they have emphasized more on the supporting cast without Joe because they believed before that all they needed to do was focus on Joe alone and the rest would work itself out.

Took us THAT long? Should've done that day 1.

Well first Brown is out. He was a big part of the problem. Plus, Trestman ran plays to get the ball to SSS a lot. They began playing better once SSS was out to be honest. Givens has had more time here. He'd not been here long before Joe went down. And yes, we are playing more to their strengths. A trend I hope we continue once Joe is back.

It took us that long to get this current rotation of receivers due to injuries and performance issues, to be fair. However, I agree that I would have loved for them to do this more often before we were forced to with backup QBs.

That should have been done when Joe was playing.

And to me, the only reason why they are focusing on the supporting cast without Joe is because...well...they are without Joe!  I've always said that the Ravens don't utilize their personnel properly...offensively or defensively like other teams do and because of it, they are stunted in their performance, growth and development.  Change of thinking is needed!

Harbaugh had Ray Lewis give a pre-surgery speech to Dr. Andrews in case he was thinking of stinking it up for three quarters of the procedure.

Yep, coaching has been questionable for years now. Kubiak gave us a taste of real offense last year but now it's gone again.

It is imperative that Joe is surrounded with really talented players and a great defense to lead us to the promised land which he's proven he can do. But if you ask him to inspire his team to play their hearts out for him or the team, it won't happen.

Only the likes of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed have done that for the Ravens.

Well said. It's like they get too caught up in trying to prove that Flacco is as great as they believe that they focus too much on playing to his strengths, disregarding those around him. News flash, if no one around him is capable of doing the things they think Joe needs them to do, you have to try something else. Joe is the quarterback, and he is capable of adapting to the skill set around him, but they haven't even asked him to do that since they paid him. They've been trying to force everyone else to adapt to him. Square pegs don't fit into round holes.

This is one of the most frustrating things with us in the past: we have a a coach do well and they basically will leave the next season, creating yet another turnover at important coaching positions.  Losing Pagano and Kubiak really got to me.  At least we dont have to worry about anyone poaching players from us after the year we are having....but maybe we should hope for that.

Just realized that Adrian Peterson tore both his ACL and MCL like Joe on December 24th and came back the next season to not only start the first game but to get MVP. I was a bit worried that Flacco might miss some time next season but now I'm totally confident and less stressed after remembering the AD incident lol

Thats the most annoying thing ever.  Anytime i talk to non-ravens fans about us and our superbowl run, they attach our success to Ray lewis and ed reed and dont give Joe any credit...

Ed and Ray have Joe to thank for their 2012 rings. Fact.

Anyone who says things like that immediately exposes their lack of football knowledge. It's fun to make them feel stupid.
