Sterling Shepard is the perfect WR for us imo. I think he could go higher but if he's there in the third it'll be hard for me to go in another direction. His hands, catching radius, speed and routes are some of the best I've seen coming out this year if not the best in some areas. I want this guy bad for us. He's like Odell but in a smaller body and without his insane deep speed.

He's like another Tyler Lockett

Thomas isn't the fastest guy, but he still has those tight clean cuts that he does at high speed with a big body, I'm not big on jump ball guys, never really have been, but I will never under value the guys that can get open pretty regularly with strong routes and can play big and box out in The event that they can't separate. there are slot guys who are shifty and can get open, there are big guys who can make catches without separation, and there are #1 receivers, those are the guys that can do both, those are the guys I like. I also see Boyd in that same mold and the difference between the 2 is basically sacrificing a bit of physicality by taking Boyd, or sacrificing a bit of shiftiness with Thomas, I don't think you can go wrong either way though, they're my 1a and 1b with treadwell taking a close 2nd.

I'm campaigning initially for Boyd fiercely. I'm even hoping he rises to an irresistible level for us. Ozzie has got to see the valuable asset he represents. When the numbers come out and his tape he's rising in the draft. The only way we get him is to manuever and swipe him.

He has all the tools. No bust written on him. None.

What round do you think he goes?

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I just don't know if he makes it to the 4th.

It's iffy. We'll probably have a better feel as we get closer to the draft. If her makes it, it'll likely be the top of the fourth.

Totally agree with the Tyler Lockett(Who I loved a lot) comparison. I was just thinking that when watching Shepard. He just seems like a fit for this team. I do think we need a slot WR, that is a big hole on this team IMO, a very underrated one. A threat from the slot is what we need and I do think Shepard would fit perfect in that role. I also like his versatility as a PR. I think if he's there it would be hard for Ozzie to pass.

I think he can function just fine outside, too. I don't see him strictly in the slot.

I do think so as well, just think out of the slot he would be dangerous as well. I don't think we have a clear cut slot WR here at all. Aiken could very well be our No.3 but I think we can use a slot threat like him.

Why's that

Manufactured production. Undersized but not supremely athletic Edited by Sizzlebshu

Tyler Boyd, 6'2" 185, Pitt., most polished in the class, stellar routes, smooth and fluid, great hands, pro ready. he already had a DUI arrest and scouts have been souring on him due to a lack of eye popping speed and explosion, still is the best wr in the class according to many.

Josh Doctson, 6'4" 190, TCU. wingspan prospect, big guy, respectable speed for his size but not a burner, great hands, decent routes for his size, highest ceiling in the class. a relatively serious injury will cause his stock to take a hit, how big of a hit remains to be seen, he was widely seen as a mid-late first, but if the injuries to nearly all of the first round wr's from 2015 scare off some teams, then he can be had by us in the 2nd.

Corey Coleman, 5'10" 190, Baylor. runs wild in a route limited spread, short and stocky, plays like hes 6'2", dependable hands, scrappy and feisty, good speed, has the attributes that suggests he can be an elite route runner, but he needs coaching for sure as he hasnt shown it on film(not his fault, but the system)

anyone else youd like to add, go ahead.

if all 3 of these guys were somehow on the board when we are on the clock for our 2nd pick, then its hard to envision a scenario where we dont pick one. who do you think the ravens would prefer out of the 3?

how about that fuller kid from notre damn. Hes got tons of speed

I think he could be better than Lockett since he has better hands. And I like that he'll have an "undersized" receiver to learn from in SSS.

just to throw more salt in the wounds, Brandom Marshall got traded for a 5th and our 5 th round pick didn't make the team

If it makes you feel better, we didn't trade for him because we didn't have any cap room, not because the pick was too high. Although he has been tearing the league up. The Jets GM is hitting it out of the park so far.

What's everyone's opinion on Michael Thomas? Took me a while to warm up to him But now that I have I really like him, he may actually be my number one wr, he is very well rounded, big, hard nosed, great hands, solid refinement, certainly athletic enough even though he's not a jaw dropper, I think he compares favorably to jordy Nelson, good size and athleticism and works every part of the field with consistency and toughness

1st round talent

how about that fuller kid from notre damn. Hes got tons of speed

Home run hitter, but pretty bad hands

He's going back to school sadly.

He's rumored to be reconsidering, so he may still declare.

I like Travin Dural a lot. He'd be a great addition to the team.

I love Dural, and LSU WRs have been getting a decent rap lately. Where do you see his value come draft time? Atm I'd love to take him in the top of the third, but I remember one Odell Beckham rising pretty dramatically so I get the feeling we'd need to jump on Dural much sooner.

Dural is a guy that I think is a legit second round talent. He will likely rise at the combine and be at least a mid-second rounder. He'd be a great trade back target. Wanted to mention him since I'd didn't see too many talking about him.

We'll see how he tests at the combine then we'll talk.

I do not see Shepherd nearly as explosive as Lockett although better hands. More similar to the redskins rookie receiver Crowder.

He won't be participating in the combine

I too like dural, always have. He reminds me of Victor cruz, quick twitch athlete, explosive, clean and crisp routes, he has good reliable hands but he won't be embarrassing people on jumpballs.

I think he would be a great fit on a trestman offense, he could be a special player with the right supporting cast, with a strong armed qb in flacco, a oc who is not shy with his wrs, and a strong TE and running game, he would be an incredible #2. Underrated player all around.
