Week 11 Discussion(Other Teams)

Where's Football Night in America? All I'm getting is cars going around in circles.

I don't understand any attraction to NASCAR at all, yet I know lots of people love it.

Lol what? The cards have the best offense in the NFL. Palmer playing lights out. Best QB in the NFL this year. 3 wideouts playing great with good depth. Oline playing well considering the vertical offense and 3 good complimentary RBs. Most talented team.

Well sure anyone could see on paper they look good, but if you look further at them you can see that they have some holes.

Bengals pull within 3 here late. What is going on? The Bengals shouldn't be doing this in prime time. Ok now I'm fully convinced that somewhere along the time frame of the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015, something happened that altered the timeline. Only way to explain why the NFL has been pretty bad as a whole.

The Bengals D went into complete Prevent Defense that last drive. Palmer made that look super easy.

What a weird penalty from Peko - half the distance to the goal for simulating the snap count. This is a strange league sometimes.

Bengals play calling went into full choke mode at the end.

-Before the Nugent FG:

3rd and 2 deep in Ariz territory with under 2 minutes to play.

They throw the ball deep to Green,, which 1. stopped the clock

2. Just try and get the first down: if they get it, they control end of game; if they don't make it, they run the clock down deep. Really dumb IMO.

-On defense,, rush 4 with full-on prevent mode, seriously depleted in the secondary. Brilliant Gunther!

Ahh,, the Bungles in primetime, geez lol.

Glad to see my boy J.J. Nelson making plays. Carson Palmer is unreal. The touch and accuracy on that TD was perfect.

And that is making me feel super guilty lol

DAF

No need, my friend. I nabbed him as a 6th round pick in the FM. I'm more than happy to share...unlike some people. *Cough* Aaron Donald *Cough*

Hey, I let Ozzsome have him in the forum mock in 2014(although I was tempted to take him, didn't though as Arnie had told me he was going to take him if available and I didn't want to be that guy). Plus he was out there in DAF this year although I had no say on that one.

More talking about the circumstances I got him in DAF though

I know, I know. I'm just messing around. I had zero chance at Donald in the FM. That was very kind and noble of you regarding arnie_uk. Why, what were the circumstances? I don't recall for some reason.

I was thinking about moving up for one of the safeties and originally had Donald as my fall back guy(yeah I know, I didn't know how high people were on him and didn't know where his stock was.) Arnie ended up telling me that Donald wasn't getting past him. Then it came down to Donald not making my pick regardless so I just figured it wouldn't be fair to take him like that. Ended up backing out of the trade as I was originally thinking of going for Pryor but cooled on him and warmed on Ha Ha. Kinda banked that he would be the guy to make it to my pick and Pryor ended up going and I got Ha Ha. And I could have traded up for Donald by getting rid of Dez but that would have just been dumb, came so close to doing it as well lol, did learn a lot with that team though.

So if the Bills lose as projected and drop to 5-5, the Chiefs would win the 4 team tiebreaker at 5-5 and be the sixth seed in the AFC at the end of week 11. Going from 1-5 to 5-5 and the sixth seed in a short time span, just shows this whole season has been unpredictable. At 1-5, they were in discussion of the top pick and now in the thick of the playoff race.

Don't forget the Texans. They're also in the thick of it. Both of these teams were in it last year and both won their final games of the season. Unfortunately, neither got in because a certain bird team won their final game as well. Can't remember which one...

Actually forget the Texans, O'Brien stupidly announced that Hoyer will again be the starting QB instead of riding the hot hand with Yates. If they would have kept Yates, they would be an issue but going back to Hoyer will hurt them no matter how much better their defense has looked the past 2 games.

Poor Rex, he badly wants to beat Belichick but just never will lol.

I've said this before the season started, but the Texans, Bills, and Jets are a QB away from being a 10-win team.

As for Rex, I couldn't help but laugh at that. Poor him...

"Dear chandler jones, how does it feel that your brother actually earned a super bowl ring but you never did because your team are a bunch of classless compulsive cheaters?"

Rex really should stop being a HC and be a defensive coach for a good team again.

Yeah. He'd probably be a lot more effective as a DC than he is as an HC. I'm just not sure his pride will let him accept it if he considers going back to be a demotion.

I agree, I think he feels he is too far forward to go back. He was quite good with the ravens as DC I felt. He could make a good career with bruce arians or maybe as the bengals D coach.
