Week 11 Discussion(Other Teams)

129 posts in this topic

Here we are in week eleven, and we still have a poor slate of games for the week. Including whoever thought the Titans/Jaguars would make for a great Thursday Night Football game, but hey it's a chance for the division so it counts right??

Defeated or Undefeated?

Redskins @ Panthers: The Redskins are very much alive in their sloppy NFC East after Kirk Cousins and the Redskins dominated the Saints. This week the Redskins visit the Carolina Panthers who are looking to move to 10-0 for the first time in franchise history. Upset.... No. I still see the Panthers undefeated after this week.

Bills @ Patriots: The Buffalo Bills were down and out the first time around, and almost came back to win. The Bills seem to be out of their slump, the Patriots lose Dion Jordan and Julian Edelman on the offense. It will hurt the Patriots offensively but just like last week, they just barely hold on and remain undefeated.

The Dirty South (AFC Edition)

Scenario one: Colts win & Texans win, they are in a tie for first at 5-5.

Scenario two: Colts lose, Texans lose and Jaguars win, 3 way tie for first.... at 4-6.

The Only Good Games on the Schedule

Packers @ Vikings: Who knew that this would have major playoff implications heading into the season. Packers have slipped, Vikings now lead the division at 7-2 and can take a huge step forward toward the NFC North crown by beating the Pack on Sunday. If not, it will come down to week 17(and most likely the flexed SNF game in week 17) where the winner wins the North and the other is a wild card or the loser goes home!

Bengals @ Cardinals: If Monday Night is any indication, the Andy Dalton of prime time is about to ruin the Bengals season. Another prime time game for the Dalton led Bengals who struggled against the Texans defense. The Cardinals can get another step closer to a bye with a win.

GB @ MIN is the Game of the Week for me. I think GB needs this W more. Vikings definitely are looking like the sleeper team I predicted them to be. If the win, they're no longer a sleeper team.

Living near Cincy I love the reaction when the Bengals lose, so to me, this is the game im looking for hah. Im hoping the Texan game was a turning point for their season honestly, but it was just 1 game.  A 2 game losing streak though..the panic will set in, and the fans will stop buying tickets literally lol, that's how it is around here, with the fanbase.

So.... Does anyone here care for tonight's game like at all?

I don't but I'll watch it anyway - stuck in front of computer working (well, waiting for stuff to break) - not many better things to do.

Ravensdan deserves some credit for getting that one

I'll take that! I didn't expect them to be undefeated. I did expect them to obliterate the NFC south. I want to see Carolina v Arizona in the NFC title game.

Just looked back. I still like most of my predictions but way off on the lions second to Green Bay and of course Baltimore

Mariota v Bortles. Should be entertaining. I'd love to see the Jags overtake the Colts.

This whole year makes no gosh darn sense. I feel like I'm in an episode of "sliders".

Interesting how many people get that reference.

That's pretty much me. Stuck in front of a computer at work, got a spare screen up and I'd rather watch the Jags than spend four hours reading about some no-name ABBA impersonation group performing at a random Sydney bar in two weeks' time.

Back to back weak DPI penalties. I saw nothing wrong with how the Jaguars players covered it but because the rules state you can't breathe on a WR without it being DPI, back to back penalties that have put the Titans in the red zone.

Rashad Greene with a killer punt return. :D

I know you can't go on 4th down from there but turned out they gave JAX shorter field than if they went for it and didn't make it.

Why can't Dean Pees ever call a defensive play like that when we are trying to hold a lead? So Jacksonville is now 4-6 and pending the outcomes of the Colts/Texans games, there could be a 3 way tie for first in the AFC South.

I wanna see the vikings represent the nfc in the superbowl to be honest, superb defense and great wild card team coming out this year.

Even though cant say I like those teams, would be nice to see some fresh teams, boring to see the same teams in the superbowl every year....unless it was us :P

A Panthers vs Patriots Super Bowl rematch with both teams going into it undefeated would be pretty interesting.

Maybe. I do think they're better than given credit for, but I could see the Cardinals or Vikings beating them in the playoffs.
