[News] Who's Practicing, Who's Not vs. Rams

42 posts in this topic

I've been following the ravens since they came into the league and this is far the worst team they fielded that I saw especially in the secondary.

"The Ravens offensive line was missing two starters when the Ravens took the practice field" Maybe we should bench Joe for safety? Times like these I worry about Joe. People just might get this wish if there is no Joe Flacco on the Ravens.

Why break bad on a guy who really has no control over an injury???  He's only following doctor's orders.  Folks honestly believe that the guy actually doesn't want to play, and that's most likely miles from the truth.  He's actually been there... and working in the community alongside other players...

Ravens need a football player not a community activist. If he wants to be a Ravens then he needs to talk to the fans. Who pay the bills.

perriman out for the year well thats what happens when you draft players no ones heard of. theres a reason no ones heard of them ozzie

I am sorry you are not well educated on college players in last years draft.  Perriman was quite well-known, was listed in most mock drafts to go in the first round, and was really the last decent wr on the board when the Ravens picked.  Had Perriman not been there they would have traded back, Ozzie already said that.  I have never seen so many fair weather fans throwing anyone and everyone under the bus because we aren't having a great season.  All those backers who were hollering when they beat Pittsburgh last year are now saying they have been bad for three years now and we should cut everyone and fired everyone including Ozzie and the head coach.  No one said that last year when we got into the playoffs.  I just feel sorry for people who have such a rough time with not being able to always succeed that I am sure all of them in their lives are doctors, lawyers, pro athletes just rolling in the money and everything falls perfectly and they never have to adjust.  Reminds me of the spoiled kid who stomps on the floor and cries because someone else got the best toy today at preschool.

I thought that Jensen was the back up center and Urschel the back up G.... not sure why we hang onto guys like jensen, jah reid, etc when we have no faith in them??????????

Oh, you mean the guy that took 92 snaps in one game in the preseason, played LT which he hadn't played since college, and got complimented from Harbs and Newsome?  I'd say they have faith.  Positional rankings are earned during pre-season.  Urschel right now is the next man up.  Jensen will have the responsibility to cover for KO and Yanda if they have issues.

Harbs indicated that Jensen proved he could play in the NFL.  He started in game 3 of the pre-season, but fell to a concussion after 9 reps.  I'd say there is faith enough.  I would surmise that Urschel will need to prove that he can accurately snap the football.  If he falters at that again, well..........next man up.

:D  :football:

Bring in Ed Reed to coach. Little League will have to wait.

Awww... come on, give the guy a break.  It's his sons that he is coaching for.  Family First.  I give the guy credit.

Sad to see some fans does not know how to handle the bad with the good. I will admit I am not enjoying the Ravens seasons this year but the last thing I will do is throw anyone associated with the Ravens under the bus because of one bad year. It's not like we been getting blown out every game and teams still respect the Ravens. I still wear my Ravens hat/shirts in NC despite getting "that look" from Panthers fans basking in an undefeated season. Let them have their fun. We had ours and we WILL have fun again. The way to look at life is be thankful we are not fans of as many as 13 teams who never won a Super Bowl, many fans have endured several losing seasons and yet still support their teams. We should learn from them about loyalty, even during losing seasons. There is beauty in that. There are so many millions of people who does not know what life is like as a Ravens fan. Talk about the team during off-season, getting excited during drafting and pre-season. Going wild over wins and waking up Monday in a bad mood after a lost. That's beauty. Be grateful the professionals from the Ravens provided that for us, win or lose. It sure is better than being without an NFL football team for 13 years. I rather have a team I love, even during a badly losing season than to endure another year without a team. Go Ravens! Wearing purple gear to Walmart in NC and not have a care in the world what anyone thinks is a good feeling, enjoy it, life could be much worse.

I guess we Ravens fans should not care much and be like Chargers or Jacksonville and show up at the game when there is nothing else to do. Real fans were the one who wore their gear during the Ray Lewis Atlanta railroad. Talk about getting crap.

Of course ;) It's just wishful thinking - he would be fantastic, because with Ed, it's not all just god-given natural skill, but so much effort he put into being as great as he was. He can't teach talent, but he can teach all the rest.

Of course I don't want to break little kiddies hearts!
