Under-rated, under appreciated, and we are so lucky we got him to QB our O-Line....Get healthy and be ready to roll next year Jeremy....

the positive in this is this team finds out if they have a reliable backup center in urschel. hope they give several of the other younger players a lot more reps like arthur brown, tray walker, zadarius smith etc..etc..

Zuttah on IR now also, just SMH. Looks like the team focus has rightfully shifted towards next year. I think Urschell will get these snaps down after enough reps. Could be quite an adventure for Joe til then though. Despite all the bad things happening this year, 1 right after another, I am still strangely optimistic for next year. If the Ravens make the right decisions with the right combo of smarts and some lucky breaks falling our way, I don't view next season just as being in "rebuilding" mode. I expect us to "rebound" next year and be right up there in contention.

Boyle, Gilmore, Maxx on the roster - CFord and KReuland are all TEs on the RAVENS right now? I may get it if we tried to stock pile DB's or Pass Rushers bc these are positions of need for us! Maybe if we stockpiled QB's they can become currency in the NFL and make for trade bait. TE's (lower tier TE's) ???? IDK

Come on Ravens! First Campanaro was rushed to IR instead of waiting the 3-4 weeks. Then Perriman is on the roster forever and just placed on IR. Who is advising the Ravens brass about these injuries and who is making these roster moves? Confusing.

A lot of bad luck, injuries, an unforgiving schedule, referees... all of this has contributed to that trainwreck of a season. But a lot of roster decisions have baffled me. It started last year and the decision to start the season with 4 (FOUR!) CBs, including an injured Webb, and 7 subpar safeties. John Simon on the practice squad was also a stupid move when we knew OLB would quickly become a weakness - even with Suggs healthy.

This year, was it really a good choice to use the boomerang IR on Urban, when we have a stacked D-line? It would have been better used on Campanaro who lost a whole season to a 4-week injury. Do we really need to sign another TE? The carousel of signing/waiving players off the street is ridiculous and i don't think it's a good formula for team chemistry.

"The Ravens could have opted to let Zuttah sit out in hopes that the pec would heal without surgery, but they opted to give him the most time possible to make a full recovery before next season."

Don't let the Perriman debacle cloud judgement into thinking that the handling of every injury is somehow a huge mistake. If we were vying for a playoff, we'd likely sit him out and hope he heals, so we could bring him back at the end of the season and for the playoffs.

We've finally come to grips with the fact that we're not a playoff team. Get the surgery now so he can be ready for next year. In the meantime, give starts to a guy who we're likely going to want to see being a starter on the O line next year. Not really that confusing.

I look at these moves lately as positives. Playoffs are not going to happen, so don't take further risks with injuries like Zuttah's. Let them recover for next season while seeing what lesser players can bring. It does make me wonder just how inept Daniel Brown has been in practice if they haven't bothered to bring him up from the practice squad. Clearly they think less of him than other team's cast-offs Clay and Ford.

I don't mind this at all. Zuttah will heal at his own pace, and it's not like we have a chance at the playoff anyway. If we lose Osemele to F/A this offseason Urschel will be our guy to step in at LG to replace him, unless we make an offseason move for a new LG, that is. So even if it is at Center, this starting experience Urschel is going to get is a good thing.

Whoaa Whoa Whoa Lol. Have you seen the difference Osemele makes for this O-line!

No offense to Urschel, but I'd much rather see us do what is necessary to retain Osemele for years to come. He has a non-stop motor and is very nasty.

Remember we have to protect our Franchise QB.

We have a lot of young talent. Let them get experienced in this rare lost season and get better. The Ravens have really young team and Flacco still has his best years ahead of him. The Ravens got unlucky this year, but overall, we just were not good enough to make a legitimate SB run. We are close to being great again. With smart offseason moves, and hopefully at least one F/A steal, along with another solid draft with most likely a top 10 drafting position the Ravens will be ready to attack next season. Also, fire Dean Pees. We need a completely new defensive system in place after this season. Rob Ryan? Chuck Pagano? The Ravens defensive coordinator spot will be VERY appealing to a lot of coaches. Go Ravens.

And every other team in need of a guard has seen how good Osemele is.  People are going to want him. People who have a lot more money to spend than we do. I hope we can keep him, but i'm just saying I'm glad Urschel is getting experience just incase we get outbid just like we did with McPhee.

Fire Pees for Rob Ryan? Wow, you need to check the facts. We did win a SB with Pees and with an injured Suggs, an aged RL and a depleted Ed Reed.

Also, while the rest of the league were scratching their heads on how to stop the zone read option, Pees did it. Hence Kapernick's decline as the whole league copied it. And the need to modify him to more of a pocket passer.

Let's not forget Pees does not play defense. There is a reason that webby is being moved to safety cause he was getting burned at cb often on in routes espically and Kendrick Lewis sucks so does Will hill cause he cant cover. Jimmy isn't playing well and may still be recovering from the Lisfranc injury.

But yea let's fire Pees for a DC who defenses have been bad to mediocre for his whole time in the NFL.

You can't keep living in the past with Pees. The league has adjusted to his schemes and he is predictable, hence why when he does blitz and gets out of zone we get burned. Webb has been playing a lot better lately but I could agree with that. Kendrick could be better but it definitely isn't on him as to why we've sucked in the secondary and it sure as hell ain't Hill. lol are you kidding me? Every single time he's been in coverage he's blanketed them and the one time a tight end won was because he slipped and he still recovered from deep to make the tackle with no yards after the catch. He's also up this year from like 207lbs to 228lbs so yeah he's playing very fast for being 6' 1" with that much extra weight.

even in our SB year Pees' defenses sucked. It's literally only on talent that we were as good as we were. I had hopes for Pees but our defenses every year with him haven't even been shadows of years past with the talent we have? There's a common denominator here. Playing zone every down especially in crucial situations with big defensive backs is a start. Teams know he's gonna play nothing but zone and that's literally making them have to have one job - by time with protection until someone gets in a hole in the zone. It's the easiest defense at the end to expose.
