[News] Ravens Sign Three Players To Active Roster

106 posts in this topic

All just warm bodies to keep 11 on the field for the rest of the season and a bunch of resume's for next year.

When it comes to picking up "Bottom of the barrel" players, there is always a chance that one or two of these guys might have reached rock bottom and have to make up their mind to go "All IN" or pack up their dream of playing in the NFL.

We could end up with a guy who has a chip on his shoulder and something to prove and all he needed was his phone to not ring while he sits on the couch for a couple months then get that wake up call.

Can't hurt and it doesn't cost us anything to kick the tires on any of them. It's a great time for a rebuilding year and we may be able to get some of it done now, before the draft. Now, if we could just pick up a couple coaches too, we'd really be in good shape!

I really don't have any idea what we're doing anymore. We just keep churning the bottom of our roster with no success. We're continually picking up guys who were on their sofas last week. How can you evaluate any of these guys when they're only on the roster for 2 weeks at a time?

Four tight end set, interesting! Innovation...

Four TEs? I'm like "meh", whatever!

Ross cut for another return guy,... I don't quite get but I can live with it,... no choice! This team has not panned out anywhere near any of the glowing reports coming out of Training camp!

Let em fly,... we are who they're saying we are now, not who they said in August! Ok, Suggs injury brought down the whole House of Cards! What? SSmith's?

Hey, it's still our Baltimore Ravens - there is that!

I thought Ross was playing good.. and wasn't everyone praising Jackson for his two blocked field goals (or was it POT's?) after the last game?  Granted Jackson ran hot and cold, but Ross was pretty steady.

I gave up trying to remember who the players are anymore.  Sunday when #43 did that great punt return, my daughter-in-law and I are both asking him to turn around so we could see who he is.  I don't know this team now. :(

Ross may have cost us 2 games with the fumble and muffed punt. I wouldn't exactly call that steady.

Why do we need to add another TE to the roster? Are we fans not being told something, again?

We're in the "Why not" phase! I was waiting to see Maxx Williams tearing up the field in 2015 like another Gronk, another Gates; now we have another one?

Ok,... bohica!

Great moves. At least Ozzie is trying to rebound from this awful year. I think Harbaugh is trying to make something out of frankly, nothing, but he's trying too. We need to draft a little better and try to pick up some good veterans, too. You know, you can't win based on players who were cut or barely hanging on on practice squads and rookies. We need some GOOD Veteran players, like SSS, but not as old, sort of like when we had Boldin, but try harder not to give them up too quickly, either. In summation, we're only going to get better with good, veteran players somewhere on the roster!

No wonder they never have money under the cap. Why cut Ross? Cause he turned over the ball. Joe did that 3 times in one game. Tell me a player on that 53 that consistent and mistake proof. Why another TE? Cut Asa (bs on injured) could have placed him on IR if they wanted him. Replace him with a guy he beat out in the preseason and you expect the team to improve. SMH

Welcome to Baltimore...But Really, a tight end?? That is the one position we actually don't need any help. Would've like to have seen another DB or a Pass Rusher...

I think CFord is a young and talented TE but he is a TE???? Gilmore, Maxx, Boyle - where will ford fit in???? IDK about this one?

4 TE sets. We are getting desperate.

Sit all of our valuable starters that we will depend on next year. Call up all the unproven guys that are on the practice squad and let them earn a job. Open up the offense and let it loose - make some splash plays, take gambles. See who has the potential and who folds under the pressure. I'm fine if we beat the Steelers and Bengals and call it a year. I love the Ravens, but at this point - wins only hurt us, lets get a high, can't miss pick in the draft who will be a starter out of the gate.

Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie,

Please tell me what's going on here? I mean, I noticed the pattern of picking up another team's practice squad/ recently released wide receiver, but do what's going on with the additional tight end? We don't need any more tight ends- you already drafted two this year. I keep saying this, but we need cornerbacks and another safety- Ozzie? Please explain- now, I'm really curious.

Dude wave who you want pick-up who you want. Not going to matter now. our season is done for to many player's lacking the "it" Factor this year. The only thing I, Myself can do is hope to the football God's that the Ravens don't make complete fools out of themselves.
