[News] Breshad Perriman Placed On Injured Reserve

132 posts in this topic

Here let me help you out.

Derrick Henry or Zeke Elliott with our first pick next year.

After that a few O Line - then the rest defense. Trade a pick or two and get a young up and coming WR that has NFL experience and is battle ready, no more of these gambles - the house is kicking our tail feathers.

Some names to consider:

Alshon Jeffery

Rishard Matthews

Josh Gordon (if he's back and passes med/conditioning)

Marvin Jones

Sadly I think I learned a lesson this year. I relocated with my family in 2011 to Washington state and up until this year the only way I could see the Ravens play were "illegal" streaming sites. This year DirectTV finally opened up the Sunday Ticket streaming service to my location and I got it. Won't do that again. The service sucks constantly lagging, locking up and disconnecting. ON top of the it was almost $250 for the season. If you add in that this season has totally sucked, I feel like I've been robbed. The NFL needs to get better service online and stop living thirty years in the past as far as broadcast technology. They also need to get rid of ESPN about the worst coverage of football ever. I know the networks need to make money but if they are going to cover football cover football. Stop these clowns from talking like they know what they are talking about and have them talk about the game. Questionable or great plays show replays, multiple replays from different angles and slow motion like you did in the 70's and 80's. I am so tired of them talking through a questionable play, talking while it is being video reviewed, then going to commercial and never showing a replay of the play in question. I'm really tired of playing good money for a lousy product and that has nothing to do with the Ravens' record and everything to do with sub-par announcers...

Sorry for your misfortune about Direct TV.

I totally agree with you about the announcers and color men talking too much about extraneous issues during a play.  I find this is true no matter what network I watch.  I also find the camera used too much for crowd and bench shots.  Keep the cameras focused on where the action is - on the field, please!!!  I'd rather watch the players on the field doing whatever they are doing between plays than fans screaming.  I don't watch TV to watch fans or coaches.  Anybody agree with me please give me a positive on this.

Honestly, if any of you thought there was a chance Perriman would play this season, then that's on you guys lol. I literally saw this articles headline and said "I thought this had been the case?" Lol. This is not news at all.

Okay... Seriously this man has got to be one of the weakest most softest players in the NFL there are kickers tuffer then this man.... I'd wave his butt seriously have you even questioned if this dude want's to play football or play for the Ravens? you're better of getting a better WR in the next draft... hell we might have first pick if we keep losing.

I think its hilarious how our staff writers always chooses a certain picture of a player to match the articles headline Lol. For instance, if its an article about Flacco not performing well then the front picture will be a not so good picture of him with his head down Lol.

And this one with Perriman LOL, its the frustration face! Lol

The best thing about this article is the finality of it! No more Perriman watch to feel tortured by. No more Perriman updates to ponder upon. How cool is that. Get well buddy and come back and go by the nickname "Flying P"!

I actually like this post. Josh could be signed for a next to nothing and incentive/ clause laden at that. When your money gets tight you tend to do what's right. One year prove its often pan out. If not, cut bait. In fact I'd offer a sixth round pick if Cleveland still owned his rights do his suspension. They often don't pan out in our drafts anyway. So we aren't losing much anyway. Henry should be there in the late 1st (as of this date).  I looked the Nfll comparisons of heisman trophy nominees posted on the  Nfl.com and there are intriguing. They are some listed on it that I wouldn't mind a well. Any of the options in this post would be an immediate upgrade.

The only stand out from this years reciever class is Amari Cooper. Kevin White for the Bears been on IR and now finally our guy. As great as Ozzie has been throughout his career for building our team, he has really dropped the ball (pun intended) on drafting WRs

Is it even medically possible for a knee sprain to heal so slow? Especially for an NFL player, who has the best medical attention in the world available for him?? It doesn't seem plausible. Either there's something much more serious wrong with his knee no one has been able to diagnose, he's the ultimate wuss of a football player, or just doesn't want to play ball.

This highly touted young man reminds me of the Sergio Kindle 2nd round draft in 2010. Kindle was a high draft linebacker who never played a game in the NFL, with alcohol being a contributing factor.

I'm sure the guy wants to play. If the Ravens hadn't blown four or five games in heartbreaking fashion this year, I don't think people would be quite so hard on the guy. Obviously there is something we don't know. However, I give credit to the young man and his advisors (whoever they may be)for having him say nothing. Get healthy and come back next year like the Ravens have two rookie first rounders!

givens and aiken seem like they could be a #3,4 or 5 receiver for us but we can never find that #1. the jury is out on perriman and hopefully he is 1000% healthy when training camp starts and is not of the same brittle mold of an rg3 or camponaro. i am hopeful that elam and maybe even arthur brown can be of use to this team moving forward. oz most likely trades down and picks up an extra 2nd which wouldnt bother me as long as the 1st rd pick we swap for is at least in the middle of the draft and the same for that 2nd rounder we pick up as well. olb/pass rusher is our #1 need of the many needs we have. if we lose osemele than we need another guard. LT is a possible need because monroe is fragile, safety and cb and of course  wr

Hope this kid can come back right, and come back ready. This franchise can't afford to whiff on the high-round draft picks (Elam, Arthur Brown, Cody, Kindle,...)

I read on line that it can take 6 months up to 1 year for a severe PCL strain to heal. They probably should have put him on IR after he re injured it and was scoped. In all fairness Harbs shouldn't have down played the significance of the injury and given the fans a more realistic assessment of recovery time. If that had been done Breshad's character and fortitude wouldn't have been questioned.

Aiken is a #3 receiver. He has flashes but you cannot rely on him throughout the entire game. Perriman looked like a game changer in camp. Let's get him healthy then sign someone in the offseason or look in the draft again. Also going into next season I think that our pass rush needs an upgrade. I believe if Suggs didn't go out for the season our secondary would have shown improvements. Our failure to get pressure on quarterbacks needs to be increased.

At least we got the Terps. Go Maryland!

Darn near gave me heart palpitations like these Ravens do every week. Xfinity Center looked like the place to be last night

I personally think defense should take priority this offseason. Ig not the pass rush, then the secondary needs an upgrade. Bosa, nkemdiche, Ramsey or vh1. Wouldn't be mad at any of those players coming to Baltimore right now. Everyone struck out on wrs this year except minn and oakland, but they all hit gold with cbs.

and we wasted a roster spot for half a year before deciding the put him on IR. Wow. Did Ozzie go on vacation or something? The FO decisions over the past couple years are really questionable and it is starting to get media attention now as well. Once the facts are on the board with the Ravens and their draft success, free agent success etc... compared to other teams, they really rank towards the bottom. I heard media speculation about Eric DeCosta taking a bigger role and Ozzie is stepping back and that's the reason for this downswing. I have heard that Harbaugh now has personnel input where when Marchibroda(?) and Billick were here they had no input and since Harbaugh has had input, things have gone off the cliff. Clearly, something has happened and we may never know what that is, but Ozzie doesn't go to being the best to being the worst over the last three or four years without something else going on. I am a diehard fan and I am not trying to insult anyone, but logic dictates that there is something going on.

Seriously, Could this guy last with what Steve Smith has gone thru this year? If Ozzie screws this next draft up he needs fired.
