He should come back brand new. Work on the body, strengthen the knees and the mind, and hopefully cut them awful dreads. Come back a hungry beast, ready to work.

I guess we can call someone a bust without even watching them play...makes sense. Injuries happen, give the kid a chance to show what he can do before we call him a bust. This fan bade is crazy right now. We are having a bad year, it was gonna happen eventually. Just have to take it on the chin and get better this offseason.

I agree...  let the guy heal and stop bashing a guy you have never seen play.

I'm not buying that it's a PCL 'sprain' anymore. After four weeks I was extremely skeptical; Now, I don't believe it one bit. Not bust-worthy yet, as he hasn't played a down for us, but if he has an injury in camp next season, I'd be ready to apply that label.

That being said, I'm desperately hoping this kid's knees aren't made of glass and we're NOT looking at Sergio Kindle 2.0. That'd be too cruel.

Imagine if the time off his knee actually helps. Imagine if he comes back and explodes onto the scene, torching past secondaries. What will his naysayers do then? How will all those Ravens fans that dogged him for getting hurt face him?

I'm sure people will be tripping over themselves backpedalling all the hate they spewed about BP being a bust.

Worst yet, these same people could be begging him to show loyalty and extend his rookie contract come 2020. Why should he be loyal to a fanbase that questioned his manhood?

Well, the good news is we'll essentially have two first round players come next Fall because barely anyone has seen him play yet.

Once this season was shot... I was thinking maybe we shouldn't play him so no other team has any game tape on him and as you said... we essentially have 2 1st rounders (and one with a years knowledge of our team).

I typically don't use the "bust" label typically until 3 years or they are cut but Perriman HAS to impress next year to make up for this year

Seriously guys, I've watched football for almost 40 years and can't ever remember a young guy being out for the whole season after having such a minor looking injury. Folks, something's not right here. I have doubts we'll ever see this guy in uniform again.

He re-injured it during pre game warm ups before the Cincy game. I saw it happen, he was sprinting full speed and the knee gave out. He was devastated and hung his head down for a while...What the heck? do you want the kid to do??

Why is an entire post of mine missing?  Too truthful for the Ravens PR staff or loyal moderators?  Explain.

I commented to your post that you either had to come up with this mystery "source close to the team" if you are going to state such things and attribute it to anything beyond your own opinion. If you want to come here and say YOU think those things ... fine. Don't state a source (as if to give credibility to your post) and not say where it came from.

You are more than welcome to repost it - if you can give at least some remotely credible news outlet that said it. Otherwise, just tell us you think all of that stuff you wrote is true and leave it at that.

Explained .... Thanks, your loyal moderator.

I'm pretty hard on our players and coaches but come on, this kid was just in college 6 months ago. He has dreamed his whole life of playing in the NFL. Against all odds he makes it and is a first round draft pick. This is not his fault. Crap happens. Let's give Breshad some support here and hope he can let his body heal for next year. Ravens Nation is behind you Breshad.

Well, I'm not convinced it will heal completely by next year's training camp right now. Who knows what's ailing the young man? Is it just his knee or something else that we don't know about?

All in all, the way the Perriman situation was handled was just the beginning of a disastrous year for the Ravens.

really wish we did not put Camp on IR for a 3 week injury after a week 4 game

That and a myriad other stupid decisions sum up our entire season it seems like. Very idiotic decisions in games and beyond games as well.

Personally i just think this is Harbs letting out his frustration, and Perriman was part of all the insane move today....Asa and Ross had a bad game, but they made plays in games prior, so lets cut players for a bad game, and keep asst coaches for bad play calling game after game after game....

I feel Perriman should take a huge pay cut for next year, since he has basically taken a salary this year and given us nothing. Give us some more salary cap relief for next year and keep his salary at the minimum until he proves himself. If you've done nothing, you should get the minimum until you've proven yourself.

So if we should not call him a bust this year, what happens if he hurts his knee again in training camp next year? What would his label be at that point in time? I think the problem is every team and fan expects the first round draft pick to help make an immediate impact and that is not what has happened in this case. I can feel Harbs frustration, its like hiring a new employee and paying them a great signing bonus, just to have them never show up for work because they keep calling in sick (or hurt in this case). I just hope he does not become another Jadeveon Clowney, who is a total bust for the Texans.

You're assuming that he will be healed by next season......I don't blame you after all Harbs did say it was a minor tweak and he should be ready to go in a weeks time...smh

Finally...At least we know his status. Make room for a guy who can play.

Next guy just has to be active and that will be a more successful season than our first round bust

Sadly I think I learned a lesson this year. I relocated with my family in 2011 to Washington state and up until this year the only way I could see the Ravens play were "illegal" streaming sites. This year DirectTV finally opened up the Sunday Ticket streaming service to my location and I got it. Won't do that again. The service sucks constantly lagging, locking up and disconnecting. ON top of the it was almost $250 for the season. If you add in that this season has totally sucked, I feel like I've been robbed. The NFL needs to get better service online and stop living thirty years in the past as far as broadcast technology. They also need to get rid of ESPN about the worst coverage of football ever. I know the networks need to make money but if they are going to cover football cover football. Stop these clowns from talking like they know what they are talking about and have them talk about the game. Questionable or great plays show replays, multiple replays from different angles and slow motion like you did in the 70's and 80's.

I am so tired of them talking through a questionable play, talking while it is being video reviewed, then going to commercial and never showing a replay of the play in question. I'm really tired of playing good money for a lousy product and that has nothing to do with the Ravens' record and everything to do with sub-par announcers...

Breshad we will see you next season and despite your unfortunate setback, you're a part of the family here in Baltimore and I'm praying you come back 100%.
