I hate how nonchalant and dodgy Harbaugh is about reporting injuries. I get it, you dont want to give away competitive advantage... but ravens fans are pissed because the ravens were dishonest with us. There is no ad/disadvantage of saying this is a result of his degenerative knee disease, every other teams doctors just reviewed this kid for the draft 5 months ago so they know exactly why he has the "all time slowest healing pcl". Does Harbs think were stupid?

Harbs is clueless, please forgive him. Btw Pees is still here which makes no sense

I heard it's a disease you grow out of but does that happen before, during or after his NFL career. Just seems like when he do play and one of these grown athletes hit him he'll be done again for the season.

once again, I will say this... our (management?) could not spot (talent?) if it was on their dinner plate....!

This guy got himself drafted for ONE thing... The Signing Bonus... he has NEVER intended to play as a Raven....

Jimmy Smith? another draft bust... that LB that busted his head # 49 cant remember his name... We simply do not draft well folks... Mosley will prove me wrong.....

but to waste a First round pick on a guy that will NEVER suit up as a Raven?

come on, man.....

Man this is so frustrating... I can't believe how many bad things happen to us this season. It is also very bad for our future plans because we wont see if he can play or not. So this leaves us with questionmarks for the WR position. We need to draft another WR high, or we need to invest in a veteran, which I think won't be possible with our cap. Also we need a passrusher and DBs. This is gonna be a challenge for our front office folks...

TheConqourWorm, unless the doctors have looked at and treated Perrimans specific injury their all just speculating, so pound sand on that one. And I'm actually doing Perriman a favor, by not blaming his softness, and blaming Harbs awful way of handling this situation for the fans hating Perriman, so pound sand twice. Three, osgood schlatters can affect anybody at any time, no matter age. Young growing kids are the most common but that doesn't mean it still cant affect him now. Very real possibilty his body is still growing at only 21 years old, so pound sand thrice...

It is just amazing how difficult it is to get a playmaker in Baltimore. O yea we did we had Boldin and shipped him to the 49ers for 6th round pick. No more drafting wideouts go get a free agent Playmaker AKA Alshon Jeffries!!!

You mean just speculating that it's a "degenerate knee disease" like YOU did? Osgood Schlatters disease has ZERO to do with tearing ligaments in your knee. Again, do some research - there's this thing called "google" now. You have a ton of misspelled words and bad grammar in your post. You do know that's a sign of Alzheimer's and Agraphia right? Maybe you should get checked out by a doctor (See the reach there?)

Unbelievable. How very disappointing. At least I won't be checking week to week to see if he's going to ever hit the practice field.

I really hoped we could get a look at him this year. I think we have no choice but to pretend that he has nothing to offer next year and can be pleasantly surprised if he does.

I've no idea how we're going to field a decent WR corps next year.

Jeffrey has been having an injury ridden season this year, so paying the millions it will cost to get him puts us in the same position next year....complaining about injured wide receivers.

Drafting players is a crap shoot.  Yeah it sucks that Perriman didn't make it on the field this year, but that doesn't mean he's a bust.  Look no further than our own Manny Machado.  He dealt with knee injuries for 2 years in a row, but after playing 162 last season, NO ONE is calling him a bust.

Kindle was a 2nd Round pick, but don't let facts get in your way. Flacco, Ed Reed, Ogden, Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis, Bouleware, McAlister, Todd Heap, Suggs, Ngata, Grubbs, Mosley - all 1st round picks. Yeah, you're right, we don't know how to draft, they all suck.

I met Perriman at Camp's charity event last week. I know how disappointed fans are that our #1 pick hasn't played this year but our frustration can't hold a candle to how badly Perriman must feel. It makes me sad to know this very nice, soft spoken young man is getting such a hate and resentment filled barrage of negativity from some fans. Nobody wanted Perriman to play more this year than Perriman himself, I can guarantee you that. I just hope Perriman lights it up next year and I am sure he will give this team everything he's got to help the Ravens elevate this team back in to contention. I hope I am just 1 of a silent majority who support this kid despite my own intense frustration with this situation.

Well, I guess we'll see if he'll suit up next year. A whole off season then training camp and pre season of practice should be good enough for him to break out next year. Draft another #1 WR with out 1st pick and have insurance just in case.

I never met the kid but I am quite sure that he is so disappointed on the outcome of this season. Hopefully Oz, DeCosta learn their lesson and began to draft some offensive weapons I think were good at TE We need WR and is it a shame that Oz has taken so long to draft the weapons that Flacco needs

A series of bad draft picks have been detrimental to our core lately. Kindle, Cody, Doss, David Reed, Ed Dickson, John Simon, Arthur Brown, Damien Berry, Laquan Williams, Elam just to name to a few bust. As for Perriman, I really believe if he couldn't return after nearly four months of rehabilitation, what can the Ravens expect from him if he injures his knee again in a team described "minor injury" status the very same result being inactive for months. He may have talent, but is he worth the wasted number #1 draft pick at this point. Too late to find out for this year. I blame the medical staff and scouts for not enough discovery on him and his underlying health issue, especially where his knees are concerned. A WR who can't run is worthless.

Seriously guys, I've watched football for almost 40 years and can't ever remember a young guy being out for the whole season after having such a minor looking injury. Folks, something's not right here. I have doubts we'll ever see this guy in uniform again.

If there was any hope whatsoever of making the playoffs, it would have been dependent upon Perriman's return.  It would have opened up so much with him as a threat if he had been ready to play.  Not that a lot of other factors would have had to come into play as well, like you know, playing better, better coaching decisions, losing streak for all other AFC teams.  Stuff like that.  Time to move on.

I guess we can call someone a bust without even watching them play...makes sense. Injuries happen, give the kid a chance to show what he can do before we call him a bust. This fan bade is crazy right now. We are having a bad year, it was gonna happen eventually. Just have to take it on the chin and get better this offseason.
