[News] Breshad Perriman Placed On Injured Reserve

132 posts in this topic

So just to put this in perspective: Perriman suffers a strained PCL during mini camp, injures it again warming up in regular season, undergoes a scope where they find no new damage and is now placed on season ending IR Meanwhile Dez Bryant breaks his foot and comes back to play mid season...

Only fitting that this year would also highlight the most disappointing and softest 1st round pick in Ravens history.

Christine Michael was cut by the Cowboys, I wonder if the Ravens will give him a sniff. His talent level is through the roof, but there's a reason why the Seahawks and Cowboys shuffled him out the door.

he better come out of the gates dominating next season or it may be time to point fingers to the great and powerful oz.

Hopefully this means the Ravens move on from him as a non factor in respect to future acquisitions. Both FA and draft wise. It should be seen as a clear warning that he shouldn't be counted on to serve as the number #1 option at the position. Until he proves otherwise. Even then any injury to him may cause a gapping hole that would need attention if they see it differently. The pick that never happened. (Sort of). The scout dept. takes another hit and it's glaring as well. Vetting the intel/scouts info needs to much better scrutinized.

In Ozzie we trust..... to be completely unable to draft a wide receiver in the entire history of the franchise. They say even a blind squirrel will find a nut once in a while, but man, I'm starting to wonder. So, who's it going to be, which over the hill receiver will we use as a band-aid the next two seasons? Andre Johnson? Larry Fitzgerald? Calvin Johnson? Marquese Colston? I don't know, they don't seem chippy enough for the Ravens. I think it's time to kick the tires on Boldin again.

Time for Oz to move on. And I really think he will after this season. He's lost his touch. We have a very capable replacement waiting. It's time.

Then point the finger at EVERY GM in the history of the league. Players get hurt - 1st round picks included. 75% of ALL 1st Round draft picks this year haven't done ANYTHING with their team. 50% of ALL 1st Round draft picks from last year haven't done anything.

By your account, Bill Belichick must be the WORST GM in history, his 1st 4 picks in the last 3 drafts have netted him 1 starting linebacker. Twelve high draft picks for 1 guy...I don't know why the Pats keep him around.....

Well, the good news is we'll essentially have two first round players come next Fall because barely anyone has seen him play yet.

The question now is whether this injury was a freak one and he heals normally otherwise, or is that what we can expect any time he gets injured...

I hate how nonchalant and dodgy Harbaugh is about reporting injuries. I get it, you dont want to give away competitive advantage... but ravens fans are pissed because the ravens were dishonest with us. There is no ad/disadvantage of saying this is a result of his degenerative knee disease, every other teams doctors just reviewed this kid for the draft 5 months ago so they know exactly why he has the "all time slowest healing pcl". Does Harbs think were stupid?

Except its not a result of his degenerative knee disease... that's already been debunked.

So saying that would require the Ravens to lie about it for fan amusement.

WOW.... Ohhh boy. I hope that doesn't suggest that his injury was a bigger one then we thought and one that may impact his play moving forward???? IDK Hope BP gets well and is ready for next year! This season is a nightmare in so many ways! It can only get better in 2016 !

Per Hensley, Gaither again is not on the field for the third and final day of the mandatory minicamp. We're told that Gaither's supposed injury is minor.

Ozzie and Harbaugh should handle Perrimant if this is at all well similar?

Here come the Perriman Haters. Fans need to remember that he is still part of the Ravens and need to show support, don't discourage the kid.

Might as well; everything else has gone wrong this season. Let's just hope with a full off-season of recovery, he'll be at 100% when we break camp. But it does beg the question as to whether or not this will affect him negatively into the future, and if this is what any injuries with him is going to be like.

Maybe as a fan, you should do a little more research. Every sports therapist/doctor has said this injury is not related. And if we are telling the truth, it's not a "degenerative knee disease", it's a disease that affects kids as they grow, once grown, there are no affects. But I guess it's just easier to make some uninformed, hatred post instead.

Harbaugh has lost all credibility in anything he speaks from now on. Not that I ever put much on what he says being the master coach's speak and managing to talk at lengths without actually saying a single thing. This is the guy who said Perriman was day to day...in July!
