You could tell by Joe's body language on the final drive that nobody was happy about putting our defense out there yet again to be last on the field. It's a known recipe for disaster. Not sure if the team would ever admit it, but I think consensus between Joe and the coaches is growing that if we're winning and there's 6 minutes in the game, either we need to hurry up and get out, or we need to run the ball and try to end the game fully. When there's anything less than 4 minutes left and you trot our defense out, chalk it up as a loss.

Between penalties and psyching ourselves out, our coverage couldn't prevent a toddler from crawling into fieldgoal range.

Wait...I thought during the bye, Trestman was focusing on running the ball more?  Even though it wasn't necessary vs the Jags, I think it was a 2:1 pass to run.

Our last offensive drive was nothing to write home about.  The 2 yard pass on 3rd and 7??? Brilliant!!

we said this in Training camp; Trestman and Harbs said it multiple times; Ozzie said it before the season; we said it again multiple times this year ---- So???? It seems we can't do what we say - let's stop excuses, and do what we say, then maybe Joe gets more opportunity to help recievers get open when we do pass - like I said stop excuses and talk - just perform. Go Ravens!

So, with 8-10 players within 4-5 yards of the scrimmage line, we still couldn't get an open receiver to stretch the field a little. When every defense knows your receivers suck, you can stack the box to take out the run too.

The thing that irritates me is that they say one thing but do another. The run game wasn't bad first half, they seem to not give it time to develop. We weren't being outscored and we weren't pressed for time. It was still early in the game. You have have to be misleading sometimes. If they stop the run, keep running the ball. Throw in a PA which we all know Flacco thrives in and that will catch the def off gaurd. Now they have to resepct the pass. They wont stack the box as much and that will allow the run game to open up. It's a chess match. I felt that they we're trying to force chemistry between Joe and Kamar ALL GAME! That's not how it works. Once we stop doing that and mixed the play calling up, we scored. Karmar had a target, Marlon, the TE's, Justin and Buck had a couple run plays. That's what led to our TD. We even ran PA which we rarely saw ALL SEASON! Trestman has to stop this testing crap out and do what we're good at. Running the ball and Play Action. That's what we're good at. That's what lead flacco to a awesome year last yr, forsett in the pro bowl....big numbers for or WR's. It's the bears offense all over again. High volume passes to the RB's, TE barley getting the ball....one receiver getting all the targets. No No NO NO. That's not Raven football. Run the ball and not just lining up in the I-form. Mix these running plays up....we have shifty guys. Run the PA, screen passes. Get creative out their to catch these teams off guard. You make it easy for teams when you pass, pass, run, kick. Run, run, pass, kick. pass pass run kick, run run pass kick. That's what it's become.

What happened, its called TRESTMAN! Hes Allergic to running. 7 losses 40 plus throws for Flacco. 2 victories less then 40 throws and balanced running attack

but we cant run for the first three quarters and the running game only shines in the 4th quarter when the opposing defense is gassing for air. secondly, buck allen is looking better than forsett. he always breaks the first tackles unlike Forsett whom only runs well in the 4th quarter

Chicago got rid of Trestman, for this reason... Allergic to the run game...

And while on the surface Joes numbers usually look good, and offense put up solid offensive numbers. You lend yourself to more turnovers throwing 40 plus times a game, and hang your defense out to dry when you dont run 20-25x consistently throughout the game...

Running game is a staple of Ravens franchise

Got to run the ball

Don't know why I bothered reading the article since this is all we have heard from day one of training camp and even before that.

@Ravens4life2010, Idont think anybody wants to run for the first 3 quarters. But look at the play selections. I point to B Jackson on the CSN Post game every week who in the losses seems to point to run pass ratio, and usually in the first half theres a ratio similar to this.. 1st quarter) 10 passes to 4 runs, 2nd Quarter) 15pass to 6run. So by half time usually there is already 25 passes to only 10 runs if that. Thats way to many Pass to run ratio.

And it continues...all the way until the 4th when finally you will see a 7 runs to 5 pass balance..

Ravens are not successful when its almost 2.5-3:1 pass to run ratio or higher. Cant beat 40-45 pass to 15-20 run.

No Ravens are successful when its 1:1 or 1.5:1 ratio either way 35 pass to 20-25 runs, or 30-35 runs to 20-25 pass

Thats Ravens Championship Formula...along with Great Defense

Hey.....Far Below Average Joe (25th in NFL) got his big payday. It's just a job now. And to think.....he's a "leader" on the team. At least he got the team to sign his best bud (Pitta) to a ridiculous contract, too. I bet they sit around and have some good chuckles together.

Kamar Aiken disagrees with the fact that WR's don't cause INTs...

We are balanced but we have to get that idiot Trent to stop calling long pass plays. Short 5-10yds across the middle. Quick plays. I say we need to replace Trent next What a lousy offensive cordinator. Yes keep running

Ravens want to run the ball more................then you better get rid of Trestman. It is a proven fact that the Ravens are always more successful with a 1:1 pass run ratio. Trestman hates the run and allowing Flacco to throw the ball 40 plus times is a recipe for disaster as was obvious this past weekend. Has anyone noticed that Chicago has been steadily improving since they replaced Trestman and Ravens have been steadily regressing since he arrived?
