[News] John Harbaugh Comes Down Hard On Asa Jackson, Jeremy Ross

83 posts in this topic

Maybe Harbaugh should man up and have a go at some of the more important players for their mistakes too (if he hasn't and is only singling these two out).

Harbs does not normally call out players in the press. Both guys are likely gone within the next couple of days. He did not call out Flacco's ints in the press conference but you can bet both Joe and the WRs heard from him in private.

Harbaugh you had stupid plays on Offense, Defense and Special Teams. Whenever that happens the problem is traced back to the Lowest Common Denominator: Coaching.

Geez, more knee jerk reaction from the coach. That's what they need. Jeremy Ross has done a good job thus far and who's idea was it to bring Asa back? It's time for Harbaugh to take some personal responsibility for the state of HIS team and stop throwing B level players under the bus. Who didn't see the implosion coming? They gutted the team after the Superbowl and brought in Harbaugh type players. These are his guys. The only reason it didn't happen last year is because a REAL coach named Gary Kubiak was here with his efficient offense. The defense still stunk.

You mean the efficient offense that got increased talent in Denver and has decreased productivity?

Its about time realistic people take a step back and look at who Gary Kubiak really is.

Gary Kubiaks offense got the Ravens to the AFC Championship game. Nothing else needs to be realized.

Fell right for the trap...

Cam Cameron and Jim Caldwell's offense won us a SB. And by that wonderful logic, they are both automatically better OC's than Kubiak solely based on that.

And we won a SB and and attended two AFC title games with Dean Pees as our DC... how do you think he's doing right now?

And just FYI, Kubiak was the OC here for a grand total of one season, and we attended ZERO AFC title games during that period.

he didn't mention Flacoo's two interceptions and fumble on consecutive drives. That hurt us too.

Yeah because Aiken fumbled because he was hit helmet to helmet in a defenseless position but it wasn't called. The other throw looked like a designed comeback or back shoulder throw that Givens didn't run the right route.  Joe is throwing to a spot before Givens is even near the area and doesn't miss short too often....

So it might be Joe and might not. The fumble was on him, line and all, still on Joe.

Time to start thinking about our position in the draft and who can help us the most. Looks pretty clear we will have our best picks since '96.

Ross had 5 fumbles last year... did we think coming to BAL would change that? Maybe our coaching would be the difference... lol

Edit: 6 if you count the playoffs...

The Aiken throw was high and Givens was underthrown... But yeah let's make it their fault to protect sloppy Joe.

You don't know that the throw was under thrown just like I don't know if Givens ran the wrong route. The difference is I admit it but you just want to blast hate. It would be a stronger statement from someone who doesn't wear a bag on their head. What were happened, were you burned by acid?

I watched those INTs over again and I must say that the ball Aiken couldn't catch was not a very catchable ball. It was a hard throw just behind and above him when he was in motion. It would have been a incredibly difficult catch to make. As for the second interception the ball shouldn't have been under thrown and the CB made an easy interception with Givens having no chance to catch it. He was ahead of the play already. The fumble was just that - a messy fumble. So, there you have it. Joe was responsible for poor throws into coverage for which he paid dearly, no make it the Ravens paid dearly.

The defensive coordinator has lost us more games than Ross's muffed return. Same could be said for the offensive coordinator's brain dead play calling. And for the lack of discipline penalties.... everything comes down to COACHING.

We can't keep playing like this, if you can't catch the punt let it bounce into the endzone!!!

And Asa Jackson I was on your side but man you're messing up seriously and what do you call yourself doing are you working for the other team or what??? And Flacco you still think you're worth 120,000,000 you're not playing like that!!!

That 2nd pick targeting Givens was a head scratcher..it was a "High Point" attempt...........or it was Underthrown.

If it was a high point attempt that Givens misread...its quizzical.  High Points are comfort trust routes. Why would Flacco be trying a high point with Givens who is about a strapping six feet zed and whom Flacco barely knows?

I believe it was another in a long recent litany of underthrown Flacco deep routes and its getting troubling.

Interestingly Harbaugh didn't cite his inane attempt to convert a first down when the field goal points (3) he elected to forego where there did he?

He needs to come down hard on everybody, including himself. It's ridiculous that he just called out Ross and Jackson. OC and DC are pathetic, Flacco with turnovers and the whole team with penalties (which comes back to Harbaugh because he is responsible for disciplining the damn team). Harbaugh needs to make a statement and start benching players that aren't performing or are drawing too many flags. I honestly can't point at individual players to find fault, because they are all responsible. No heart in any of them this season. One week the offense shows up, next week the defense shows up. Jesus Christ people... is it really that hard to synchronize? We were playing the Jacksonville damn Jaguars! It's hard to look at this team and not think that they are throwing the season intentionally. Serious changes need to be made and it's on the head coach to step up and take control of the team. Disaster.

these guys dont really have talent two journeymen at best. The practice of building a team through supplemental picks is coming back to bite the Ravens.

I don't mind him Harbs calling them out but why stop there. Ross made his first mistake so get over it. Your doghouse is crowded already. More then half the team probably exist in there. Let them play and learn. Practice makes perfect. If Harbs shows no patience with someone like Ross then he needs a new job%u2026%u2026%u2026! And why would they shine for an angry dad. Don't be,at the players up publicly. Bad for business. I think that maybe one of the reasons why the league may not respect our organization. All the public discourse which should stay in house. Much as Terrell Owens ran his mouth and he didn't want to play for us. Stop crying and coach them up. Do your jobs coaches. This is garbage time to work on the fundamentals or at least it should be.

John can call out fringe players but doesn't have the guts to call out Dean Pees or any of our underperforming big contract players.

You can also say without Ray and Ed these coaches would have one of the worse teams in the NFL but only Gary showed he was in a different class.
