[News] Late For Work 11/16: P-Word Officially Banned From Ravens Facility

140 posts in this topic

I'm sorry, but their playoff hopes pretty much ended when they lost to the Browns. We knew that to make a run they would have needed to go 4-4. They failed. This 20th season has been a complete disaster. Focus on making the p-word relevant for next season.

Easier said that done. It would be nice to know what this guys will be before drafted. You don't know how good hall-of-famers are until you lose 2 of them to retirement and one to injury (Sizzle). We look average at best on a week-to-week basis on defense.

Agree. Nobody just comes in and becomes the next Ray or Ed Reed. Especially a rookie. It takes a few years to build to that. There is no crystal ball as to who that person can and will be. Besides, Ray and Ed are Highlanders--There can only be one! Lol

Another point towards this team's (management?) OK we let Jacoby go.... went into the Draft KNOWING that we did NOT have a skilled KR....so, back to my earlier point... we do not know how to KEEP (talent?) when we have it..... Oh My Gawd I dread this next draft....as this (management?) would not be able to spot (talent?) if it was on their dinner plate.... it really scares me to think of how This TEAM could ( and probably WILL) mess up an early Draft pick... (Perriman????) (J Smith???) I would not be able to do their Job... as I am not qualified... but damnit....this (management?) is all supposed to be (experts?) in their field....and are probably paid well.... Please simply admit you have not drafted well....

Its a kick returner. Literally anybody can do it. Like two thirds of the kicks require you to take a knee or wave your hand in the air and catch the ball.

And for what its worth, Jacoby had NEGATIVE return yardage as a Charger and is no just as useless in Pittsburgh as ever.

No intelligent person thinks Jacoby makes this football team better right now.

Negative as a punt returner. He had positive yardage as a kickoff returner, but it was not nearly good enough to keep him.

Where was the helmet to helmet call on Kuechley for his hit on Aiken that lead tot he INT? SMDH. The officials weren;t the worst part of this game but they suck as bad as the Ravens do...and that's pretty bad.

Jags still have yet to "win" a game on the road. I now expect us to be able to run a last-second play without all our guys set and not be called for it every time. I don't care if it sounds unreasonable. It's a valid expectation until refs start getting fined for these mistakes lol.

Truth comes out....Raven's put out again. NFL Spokesman Michael Signora said that officials erred in allowing the play to go on despite all 11 Jaguars not being set. Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles was taken down by Elvis Dumervil of the Ravens on that play but was taken down by his facemask, resulting in a 15-yard penalty and an untimed down. Per Signora, the correct call would have been a false start on the Jaguars who weren't set. A 10-second runoff for that penalty in that situation would have ended the game. Instead, the Jaguars moved to 3-6 and the Ravens fell to 2-7. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/11/16/nfl-says-officials-erred-jaguars-winning-fg-shouldve-never-happened/ :229031_rant:

....first off, I refrained from commenting yesterday because I was fuming and wasted my time even going to the game...secondly you "fans" stop blaming the officiating...yeah, we all know how bad officiating is but great teams overcome that element...third, Harbs, you are responsible for Flacco's play as well as the rest of team/coaches..."get you house in order" if you need to put Flacco's B on the bench to prove that point...then do it!

...and I hope the team isn't going to ban the fans from using the [profanity deleted] at the games...it was used a lot yesterday in my section...let me tell you the problem with the Ravens..."they are still suffering from SB hangover and are an arrogant bunch, owner on down"...get your acts together Ravens...

Just so we are clear... the AFC North isn't anything close to a "tough division" in terms of offensive playcalling. The two best offense in this division are largely finesse teams who don't consistently run the ball that well and like to throw it a lot. They utilize speed and often creative play calling to accomplish this.

This ain't the 2008 AFC North anymore.

Just so I'm understanding your 'argument'....You mean the two teams with Leveon Bell and Jeremy Hill correct??  Dont be fooled. Just because the NFL has removed defense from the league does NOT mean that the AFC north is not still the most smash-mouth division in the league..If you think there is a more black&blue division in the league which division is that??

Ravens can't win a against the Browns... Gooood LUCK with that.

Still hoping we get lucky and they shank some more FG's. I will have to call on all Ravens Nation to rub their rabbit's foot during the Steelers game. I know they are still kicking themselves for blowing the last game.
