Bosa, Hargreaves or Ramsey?

398 posts in this topic

The only reasonable expectation, to which I would not be totally opposed, would be for the Ravens to trade back and land Ogbah. I'd then expect a trade up back into the first round to secure a second fifth year option.

ogbah could very well go in the top 10 though, if were picking outside of the top 5 and hargreaves and stanley are gone, i think ogbah is my guy. ive soured on ramsey a bit

I still like Ramsey, I just think he's super boom or bust

and for this team... any risk of a bust = a no go in our situation. first high pick in nearly a decade, 2nd half of our qbs career, its a make or break type of offseason for us

At this point, I'm pulling for Hargreaves above anyone else.

i think tunsil, bosa, and hargreaves are safe picks. but for hargreaves, i think the only way we have a chance is if people undervalue him because hes a db, if hes on the board when were up, hes a raven, no doubt about it.

I was a Ramsey guy in the beginning, but you guys convinced me with VH3. Considering our draft luck tho I would be shocked and ecstatic if we landed him. Reading the LFW, analysts have us picking at number six with the remainder of our schedule.

Do you guys think that would be a reach?

I could see Ramsey, Stanley, and VH3 all available at that spot.

VH3 is my favorite, but bosa would seem like the logical pick if he was there. Ramsey I like a lot but I would probably take those 2 ahead of him. but it's my opinion that the biggest difference maker on defense would be a new DC.

It all depends on where we pick and how the off season plays out. For example, let's say we move on from Kendrick Lewis and decide to take Hargreaves and move Webb to FS. Or we take Ramsey, put him at FS and keep Webb at CB. Both of those options mean contribution from day one. We take Bosa, and our top pick is sitting behind 2 starters who are in their 30's but will only be a relief/depth pass rusher. You don't take a relief/depth pass rusher in the top 5/10. So either Suggs retires, or we let Dumervil go and take Bosa to replace him. Otherwise Bosa won't be seeing the field much during his rookie year.

I like Bosa but we can get a pass rusher in the second, I'd much rather take Hargreaves or Ramsey and fill a hole in our terrible secondary than take a guy that won't really contribute until 2 years later(when Suggs is retired and Dumervil's contract is up).

Seriously?? So Suggs at 34 coming off an Achilles injury will return to elite form?? Dumervil is no spring chicken either!! You do realize it is not pick a name from the hat?? Ravens need to find THE next edge rusher not get "A" edge rusher!! Oz had that attitude trading down and getting Upshaw.

I somewhat agree and even so a lot of guys do better as situational pass rushers, and it keeps them fresh throughout the year. Kinda like McPhee.

When I watch Ramsey, I can't help but come away impressed, but I do agree, hes a bit of a boom or bust honestly. What really concerns me about Ramsey is the mental aspects of his game. For a guy who has been thrown in at CB, he displays pretty good technique and plays the CB like a vet. My problem isn't with his skill but rather the mental make up. More often than any CB I've seen, he lets it all get to his head. Even in the past Florida vs Florida Gators game, Ramsey would too into it with another player to the point of which he would slip up. I watched him against a Reciever(Forgot the name), and he was getting into with him, he played too aggressive and the guy blew right past him on what should have been a TD. I love the energy he brings, but it hurts him at times honestly.

Thats not a reach at all IMO. 7-10 is where I think he will go. 6th is a def. possibility. I think 6th is realistic to where we pick, we just can't compete with the team remaining on our schedual honestly.

no I mean extremely aggressive and rude. And by the way I actually fully agreed with it, but there's no need to be so condescending and aggressive with it, you have this tone on seemingly every other post Edited by JoeyFlex5

At this point I don't think we get any of them.

Not my intent, you can't always tell somebody's tone by a post

What makes you so sure that bosa is the only good pass rusher in the draft? I'm not even sure we'll be getting close to drafting bosa after this win what's your plan then? Who's "THE next edge rusher" after bosa? Nobody? Should we just forfeit our pick if we can't get THE guy?

Your beating a dead horse man, he doesn't get it.

Anyways, I think I'm the only one who is scared of getting Bosa.  I just have a feeling he won't live up to what everyone thinks.  I am in no way in tuned as most in here on college ball, but something just doesn't feel right about him to me.

I'm sticking with my love for Ogbha and Hargreaves.

Yea Bosa for some reason scares me too, he looks really good but Some gut feeling says to me don't believe the hype I still like him a lot but I just don't know, he draws a lot of Watt comparisons but I've yet to hear about a watt type work ethic. Still would take him in a heartbeat if he was there though so maybe I'm just paranoid.

Well, I'm not scared but I don't think he's a good fit for our D. Ramsey too.

Pretty sure there is zero chance Bosa will be part of the equation now, unless things go very strange to end the season. If by some chance he's there, he's the guy. I don't get how anyone could object to him if you watch how he dominates games. He reminds me of Aaron Donald in a lot of ways, explosive get-off, elite power, and advanced use of hands for a college player. He has the physical gifts and is already technically refined.

safety

He rarely played safety in college. He always played within ten yards of the LOS. He's not the safety we need.

Have a strange gut feeling that ogbah might end up being our guy. Even if we trade happen to trade back a few spots. Still hoping for Hargreaves though.

I have this same feeling that Ogbah will be a Raven as well. It's just a feeling I got. He just looks like a Raven.

I'm really disappointed that nfl.com pulled the "Scouting the scouts" column this year. It'd be interesting to see how many OK State games we sent scouts to this year.

Though fwiw I think we had scouts at every Baylor game last year for all that did (could have been to build a file on someone in the upcoming draft though).
