Bosa, Hargreaves or Ramsey?

I think Stanley (or Tunsil) will be heavily discussed, too. I mean, they could go either direction, honestly.

i think theyll play theirselves out of tunsils range but will fall perfectly in stanleys range, i could see them taking nkemdiche though too, seems like a typical lions pick, theyve been as committed to the front seven the past few years as they had been to WR the decade prior lol

Pass-rush is king. If Bosa is on the board, he is the pick, no question about it. He can line up all over the DL and be a force.

how much do you value bosa in relation to tunsil?

ive flip flopped between the 2 for a while now

I think both are elite prospects, but pass-rush is harder to find imo. Also a huge need both immediately and for the future. To me Bosa has to be the pick.

i just cant bear the thought of another season of james hurst essentially being our starter. we're playing with fire and luckily for everyone we suffered the consequences in an already lost season, but if something like that were to happen when were in the thick of a playoff hunt, that would be the beginning of our undoing i think.

What happens if we end up with the pick #10 or thereabouts?

More I watch this class, more underwhelmed I get and from that standpoint, Bosa, Hargreaves, Tunsil, Stanley and couple others look to be just a pipe dream picking in 8-10 range. What then? Next best pass rusher, DL, WR or DB? Henry / Elliott?

Perhaps try to trade back for extra picks?

As bad as Hurst has been, this pass rush has been almost if not equally as bad. No one outside of Doom can get pressure at all. I mean goodness we blitz at times and still get no pressure. Our secondary isn't good enough to allow this team to blitz as of now. I think Bosa is in a tie with Tunsil but you can't fault him for being Pro-Edge Rusher in the 1st.

Treadwell would be my pick if those guys you mentioned are gone.

Im going with Ogbah or Shaq Lawson but Treadwell surely is in strong consideration there.

im not faulting him at all lol i understand his point and i said im torn between the 2, but the way i see it, a lack of pass rush doesnt put our franchise qb at risk of going down for the season again, a lack of protection makes that a very real possibility as we have already seen.

however the thought of bosa in a ravens uni is a very exciting thought..

Hurst has been atrocious, and having him as the back-up LT is bad. I think there are cheaper/better options than a top 3 pick on an OT though. If we are picking ~8-10, I think Stanley might be there and he might be the best BPA at that point.

I like Lawson. He's the 2nd best Edge rusher imo, I'm not sold on him as a top 10 player though. Ogbah is nasty, but also think he is more of a 3T/5T which we don't really need. The Ravens one position of strength right now is DT. He would be hard to pass on, but I prefer getting a stud like Treadwell.

FWIW, I really like Tunsil and maybe it comes down to a coin flip between him and Bosa. I understand what you mean, I just think that this current group of edge rushers won't get it done even if we have Tunsil here. Not to mention Upshaw is our 2nd best edge as of now(Which is sad) and is about to depart.

with detroits win on thanksgiving, they may have played themselves just out of the top 5, and i dont think stanley makes it past them at that point. and i see how youre looking at it but i still think its playing with fire to sign a backup LT and trust monroe to stay healthy again, id prefer to take this rare opportunity and lock down our left side and maybe have one more mediocre season and address our pass rush between '16 and '17

I think it is just as rare to have a chance at a talent like Bosa. Pass-rush has been a bigger problem than the OL this year, and it is only going to get worse when Suggs and Dumervil reitire or move on. It's a lot easier to scheme around mediocre pass protection than mediocre pass-rush imo.

I was just thinking earlier today how much fun our offense would be if we got Treadwell and Perriman came back healthy.

the bolded is a really good point, but pass rush still doesnt put our qb at risk of injury, and as we have seen, no amount of scheming can make james hurst a competent player, especially when the TE is the only thing our offense has going for it, keeping them on the line to protect hurst eliminates the only thing we do good lol. idk i just feel like the top priority should be investing in making flaccos job easier, we have just asked him to do too much for too long

Generally speaking I'd rather draft an LT or Pass rusher in the top 5, since I feel like those positions are hard to fill outside the top of the draft.

like I said in the other thread...and I know somebody else has mentioned this before as well but if the Browns end up behind us and want to trade up -if we can walk away with their first...a second...and joe Thomas we would be able to address every single need in the first 3 rounds and still come away with a proven pro bowl LT. Doubt we could get that lucky but man would that be a steal.

Hargreaves is my boy now, I think we've played a bit out of our way for Bosa.

weve played out of range for hargreaves too.

if were lucky we can still get stanley or ogbah, the only way we get hargreaves now is if theres a run on qbs, and if nkemdiche, ogbah, and both OTs go before hargreaves.

Where do you think Hargreaves go? If we finish as a 4 win team, its hard to imagine Hargreaves being gone by then. I think today is the last game we win.

we just played ourselves into the 8th overall pick if the season were to end today(i believe, someone confirm?) there appears to be a logjam at 4-12 teams and we are depending on SOS at that point, and i believe i read somewhere that it would put us at 8th overall.

if someone could confirm this for me id appreciate it, or debunk it, whichever one lol. i just feel like i read this recently.. anyways i think hargreaves goes top 5, 6th at the latest, im pretty sure pro scouts love this kid.

But that's the eighth overall pick IF the season were to end today.

The Ravens have a slim chance to beat the Dolphins (I think Suh goes crazy on that offensive line), but the rest of the games just look unwinnable at this point. If they finish at 4-12, they're likely in the top 6 picks. There's five more games for other teams to win a game. The Ravens are about to hit their toughest stretch with Seattle-KC-Steelers-Bengals

well our SOS is tied with miami and philly for the  2nd weakest, the giants have the weakest but they should finish with a much better record. dallas and SF have a stronger SOS but theyre at 3-8, so we'll finish ahead of either of them if they win a game.. idk we could finish higher but i think tonight was our last real shot at bosa or tunsil, its a real heartbreaker because i like ogbah and hargreaves but i think either of them would have made a much bigger impact

There is still Cleveland vs San Francisco, and I'm confident some teams will pull of some upsets. That's just how I feel.

I was very much on the Bosa Bandwagon, but Hargreaves is my second player on my wish list at this moment (based on where I think the Ravens will pick) and I'd be just as thrilled to land Hargreaves.

i know some feel that way but i just dont, i like hargreaves dont get me wrong, i just think someone like bosa LEADS the next generation of great ravens defense, while hargreaves will just be a part of a good generation of ravens defense, if that makes sense...

i just think having an edge defender of bosas caliber will make us great again, having a cb of hargreaves' caliber will make us good again. very broad explanation, and not much i can do to elaborate, just a feeling i have.

The only reasonable expectation, to which I would not be totally opposed, would be for the Ravens to trade back and land Ogbah. I'd then expect a trade up back into the first round to secure a second fifth year option.
