Bosa, Hargreaves or Ramsey?

398 posts in this topic

i really am upset with our win over the chargers..

thats the one which will stop us from getting bosa.

I'll wager my profile pic they're taking Tunsil, barring something big before the draft. They badly need OL prospects and will want to keep investing in Gordon and keep Rivers alive for longer. That and if memory serves they still run a 3-4.

If we beat the Browns, that'd do a bigger job in wrecking our chances at Bosa.

Four years, but he's 30 and worse than Monroe at staying healthy, and would save a decent amount if he were cut after Tunsil's rookie year. Even then, they'll get plenty of mileage out of him as a rookie.

I think in today's NFL, Smith would be a fine fit for a 3-4. Especially for our D which had a good d-line and a perfect compliment in CJ.

The Ravens are on the fast track to pick inside the top 5, as long as they lose out, so would they actually pick an ILB in the top 5 over the possible players like Hargreaves, Bosa, Tunsil, Nkemdiche, Stanley, or Ramsey? I'd highly doubt it, honestly, especially given the Ravens seem to just pump out inside linebackers.

Besides, I think he'll have a much larger impact in the 4-3 over the 3-4

obviously that makes you happy as you think he's not that good.

Never said he wasn't good. I just said I thought he was overrated, after this game I think he's worth the hype.

i think we are picking 3rd at WORST...meaning 1st or 2nd is more likely. we will end up with the same record as the charges and titans. However those two teams are more likely to win 2 games than we are winning at all.

It's going to be tight..impossible? no..i think our roster is the worst in the NFL with all these injuries.  Good news is the browns play the 49ers and that combined with us def losing tomorrow will cement us in 3rd at least.

We probably won't pick him unless we move down. But if we did, I'd have no problem with it cause he has best in the league potential.

Def. watching this Florida vs Florida State game

It's televised delayed here. Looks like the forum will be a bad place for me to hang around until I'm done with that.

Wow that sucks. Hopefully you'll get to see it, its a defensive struggle thus far.

As much as Ramsey likes to complain about his team mates mistakes he was awfully quiet there.

Yeah, maybe I have to see a replay but from what I've seen he whiffed on the coverage there.

Seems like Ramsey sticks closer to his man than Hargreaves. But his attitude problem is getting annoying. He feels the urge to talk after EVERY play.

Wow, Ramsey made it a point to NOT tackle the guy on the muffed Punt, I don't care if it was a flag, you never know.

This is a major concern of mine. I like the attitude but I think he takes it too far and I worry about that at the next level.

In recent weeks, I've started to view Ramsey as a little more inconsistent.  I think he's going to be a guy that makes a ton of plays, but he's also going to make a few big mistakes.  He's definitely more of a playmaker, and I feel that his aggressiveness in trying to make those plays might not always translate at the NFL level.  With that being said, he's still one of my top guys and I'd be thrilled to have him.

Yeah. I like the guy a lot but his attitude really concerns me. I said it some time ago, but it's enough of a concern that I've put Hargreaves ahead of him.

I really don't have too much of a problem with Ramsey's attitude. That's where i have faith in Harbs to keep him in check.

Have you seen the Chargers (minus the QB)?

It's not even really the attitude that has me concerned.  I imagine he'll have some penalties of course, but I also like the fire and passion that comes from him.

My bigger concern is him being a little overaggressive in trying to make a play and getting beat at a higher level.  I think he's going to be a tremendous playmaker on the defensive side of the ball, but I can also see some inconsistencies creeping in as well.

Hey we know all too well about a safety who got burnt occasionally for being overaggressive.

The only problem I see with his attitude isn't the celebrating after the play. That doesn't bother me and I like it in him because he is getting excited and we need that excitement. What bothers me is his attitude when he gets beaten, when he makes a technical mistake, when he lets his attitude get into the play and gets too touchy and can easily be called for DPI, or when he tackles and tries to spear the guy to make a big play. He doesn't mentally recover well from that. In this way he is similar to Elam, but not anywhere close to being the same talent.

I do believe that Ramsey's ceiling is very, very high. I am only concerned with whether or not he can reach his ceiling. Mentality is an important quality for me. I'm not as confident in our coaches' ability to get the best out of our DBs. They haven't shown me yet that they can help these guys reach the next level.

If we draft Ramsey, I'll be super excited, though. He's a great player. I just like Hargreaves more. As I said this, I just watched Hargreaves allow a reception but then tackled him immediately to bring him down shy of the 1st down.

I agree that Ramsey will make some big plays, but he is always looking for that ball and leaning to it and I think that will lead to him biting on fakes and lead him away from plays to allow big plays

Give him a sticker every time he makes a play without running his mouth.
