Bosa, Hargreaves or Ramsey?

Bosa. A constant pass rush will make our DBs better. The less time an secondary has the cover, the better their stats are.

He SUCKED yesterday.

I don't see us passing on Bosa. That's how I feel, but if it were my choice then I'm trading back and picking Vernon Hargreaves. Oz stressed the importance of depth last season and I feel that depth would be addressed with Hargreaves. I think you bring him in as a slot CB, and when Webb's deal is up or in the event he's cut, then you make Hargreaves your starter. I honestly believe Hargreaves is the best CB to enter the draft since Patrick Peterson, some say Darrelle Revis but I'm going to stick with Peterson.

He's 5'11, close to 200, that's not a problem given that he plays bigger than that, I saw that when he matched up against Treadwell and he didn't show much signs of being pushed around. I don't even think the size concerns are legit. Revis, Harris Jr., Haden, and plenty others out there.

Bosa... This team needs a franchise pass rusher. Bosa can be just that. We have three really good pieces in the front 7 long term(Williams, Mosely, Jernigan), and someone who has flashed in Davis. We can already stop the run well. Bosa can play the run and pin his ears back and attack, he knows what stances to use, how to use his hands in addition to being freakish athletically. He's honestly the safest pick in the draft and you're talking to a guy who loves Tunsil and VH3 more than almost anyone.

I'd love any of the three. But Bosa is a special talent on the defensive side of the ball, and as "bad" as Monroe has been(more injury prone lately. But then again who hasn't on the team), when he's on the field he's been fine. We have what, Doom and Jenigan? Yeah, they're okay but Bosa makes it so much better.

Give me Bosa any day of the week

Joey Bosa on loss to Michigan State: "Haven't watched the film, not going to watch the film, just trying to move on."

He went offsides 3 times and offered very little pass rush, we'll see if he rebounds this week.

Joey Bosa:

40 tackles

15 for loss

4 sacks

0 INT

0 FF

Carl Nassib:

46 tackles

19.5 for loss

15.5 sacks

1 INT

6 FF

Food for thought

I would take either of the DB's, but we will probably trade down.

we don't have a history of trading out of the top 5 it will be a offensive tackle you heard it here 1st

ive been warming up on Nassib a lot lately. If we can grab tunsil and then trade into the back end of the first and grab him that would be another epic scenario. What was the competition like that Nassib faced compared to bosa though?

At this point I'm beginning to think Tunsil is the guy you have to take. We might never get a shot at a LT this good again in the Flacco era.

You can find good pass-rushers and CB's later in the draft, but that's usually not the case with a franchise LT.

Bosa is consistently triple teamed and Nassib gets one on one matchups and sometimes double teamed.

With that said, I've always preferred pass rushers to be around 6-3. I've always felt like this is the ideal height for them. I honestly don't think either player really gets the toughest matchup and they're both in the Big 10 or whatever you wanna call it now lol. Nassib is certainly the best player on his defensive front while Bosa is arguably the best, however, they also have Washington who's a very effective and often underrated player on that DL.

I also personally believe Bosa has more talent on the defense than Nassib.

I've warmed up a lot to the idea of taking a LT. Earlier in the year I even said I think it would be a bad idea, but I honestly think I'm wrong. Tunsil would be a great pick and it'll go a long way to helping the entire offense if he's what they say he'll be and if he can even be close to JO or Thomas. I think he's worth it even if he's another Whitworth.

While Tackle isn't my first choice I would accept it, only for tunsil though the injury history kind of scares me considering its our first high pick in years but he's looked good. My biggest question is are we gonna be a ZBS team or a power scheme? It kinda seems like trestman can't make up his mind.

Yeah, Tunsil is totally worth it. From what I've seen, Tunsil fits any scheme, ZBS or power, and as such, that means he's a better fit for versatility than Stanley. As for injury history, what injuries specifically? Maybe I don't know all his injuries, but I know he broke his leg in the Peach Bowl and had a biceps injury as well, but other than that, I don't recall any other injuries affecting him much in his career.

Lions won again today..Keeping us on pace for a top 3 pick. Cowboys pretty much have already lost but I'm not too worried about them they will atleast win a few more with romo back.

Who's that nose tackle on Penn State? I think he's the best player on that defense

For what it's worth with drafting a tackle, FilmStudy has given Monroe an A+ on the season in all the complete games he's played and is probably around an A as an aggregate game for the season

Good point. Zettel is a really good player and has been for years. Johnson is another underrated player on that DL.

I was referring to the partially torn biceps and the the broken leg, he doesn't have problems with nagging injuries that I am aware of but I still get a little nervous with major injuries especially with these past 3 years with more players on IR than I can count,I don't want to be overly dramatic but frankly we need this pick to be perfect.

Johnson is the one I was talking about. I kept wanting to say Austin Howard, but I knew that wasn't right.

Talk about a fast riser. He's garnering a lot of late first round attention

Same here...specifically this thread.

To answer the OP's question, my answer is pending until free agency comes around.

Injuries are a tricky thing and unless there's a ton of then, I don't place much weight in them. Jimmy Smith has been riddled with just crazy injuries here and there as a pro, but he only suffered one injury, which was minor, in the NCAA and that was as a sophomore and he finished as a senior, so he only had one injury that caused him to miss, I believe, only two games throughout his entire college career. Sometimes, college injuries or the absence of them mean very little in determining a pro prospect's potential in that regard.

What I'm saying is don't put a lot of stock in it.

Really? Interesting. I like Johnson, but I like Zettel a bit better. I think he's a Hell of a player. They're both pretty good, though.

I'll have to find the scouting report where Matt Miller talked to regional scouts about Johnson. The scouts love him.

Miller does not like Nassib, at all
