Bosa, Hargreaves or Ramsey?

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this isnt a fairly deep class with talent

It's good at some positions but it's a really weak class imo.

Ogbah is right on the edge of that list. If we're sitting there and both QBs are still on the board with Ogbah I think that we might be able to move back, even just 1 spot to a team that wants their guy. What did Cleveland give Minnesota for Richardson? A 4,5, and 7 just to make sure no one else jumped them?

wouldnt make sense to move back 1 spot Bc that team would know that we aren't drafting a quarterback and they could just stay put. Maybe a few spots if another qb needy team is in between.

let's say SF is behind us, and NO is in the next spot, they both want goff or whoever, NO would come to us to leap frog SF, We call SF and ask them if they wanna top the offer

Cleveland knew that Minnesota wasn't going to take Richardson with them having AD on the roster but they moved up so that way no one else could jump ahead of them and take Richardson

Can we get the idea of drafting a safety out of here. In the past 3 years

We have drafted

Elam brooks

Signed hill and lewis

Like how much more can you invest in one position

I think we should draft one, but I'm not sure about Ramsey. Something about him has me concerned about taking him. If the Ravens feel he should be the guy, though, I won't question it and I'll patiently wait and see what happens. The bottom-line is that while we've invested there, there's nothing major invested except some high draft picks that haven't yet panned out and some cheap free agent signings. Will Hill isn't a permanent solution in terms of his contract and he wasn't paid exceptionally well. Lewis could be cut next year if we really wanted.

Nobody is really guaranteed a job here, and nobody really stands out. Even Will Hill has had his issues this year. I love Hill, but I have to be honest with what I see.

I think to me, he seems like a big hitter type playmaker that bullies guys around.  I dont think he will be able to do that in the NFL.  I like the guy but i easily see where you are coming from.  I used to really want him, but i soured on him and have leaned towards Hargreaves and Ogbha now.

This is all relative because the combine hasnt happened yet and players stock will either sky rocket or plummit after it.

Yes but its almost a waste to keep investing in the position hoping to hit on ed reed. Its not gonna happen. In those 4 we have at least one ss and we drafted and signed one to try and take over free safety.

Investment doesn't matter if the issue hasn't been solved.

Others said it but I think you have to take a FS if there's a good one available. I think Brooks could be a slot CB if he's not going to play safety. This actually may be the best thing for him since he can blitz more and doesn't need to have the same instincts or range that he needs at FS.

In this way, getting a guy who can play FS well means we could maybe get a good slot CB, which would fill potentially two spots. I really really like Vonn Bell from your Ohio State as a FS for this team.

Definitely not early, CB is a much more pressing need imo. I get the feeling Ravens are going to move Webb to FS next year anyways.

I think Webb could be cut honestly. I don't even know if he himself is feeling the move to FS and yes, CB is a huge need, that can't be forgotten.

It's pretty costly to cut him loose, but it could happen. I think he still has value as a safety and slot CB, I just don't want to see him playing outside.

I don't think it would be the end of the world to lose him. The cap will only see a $4M rise, which sucks, I was really hoping for the $10M, so I think you have to make some cuts. Canty has played really well since returning but he'll get cut. I also see Daryl Smith as well. With Flacco's contract re-do you'll at least see a solid rise in cap space but I think this team will be out to sign at least 2 or 3 quality players.

If he is open to the move at FS, then I say go for it, can't be worse than what we have now honestly.

Just give me Hargreaves and I consider this draft to be an A+ :D

Draft Hargreaves, Boyd and Bell and I'll be very pleased. I'll be disappointed we didn't get a high OLB (lot literally but a high draft pick, gotta emphasize that lol) but that's sometimes how it goes.

So what would your plan be? Ignore the position completely?

I was about to say you can't be that disappointed we missed out on Shane Ray. :P

That would be an awesome draft. I honestly think that when it comes to OLB, you just have to hope someone steps up after you sign one via FA. I do think we'll plug one hole and it'll come down to OLB and CB.

Passing rusher class is a little weak and we definitely need youth at the position. I'd take Bosa if he were there and Hargreaves if he wasn't.

I had this conception that this was a weak edge class, but after taking more of a look I have to say that while it's not exceptional, its solid. I like guys like Emmanuel Ogbah, Carl Lawson, Shaq Lawson, Yannick Ngakou, and Carl Nassib. I think they are pretty nice guys. It's not deep though.

This would be an absolute dream come true. If Doctson or Treadwell were somehow still there late in the first I would LOVE to trade back in and select one if the front office liked them more than Boyd. Then sign Weddle and Mike Neal in FA :)

Pretty much. Much better than reaching on someone who can't play the position and burning a draft pick. We have more pressing needs.

2 FA signings. 2 high draft picks in 3 years. How about we alter the scheme  or idk develop these guys a bit better. Not like we went out and signed 2 guys specifically for this system. Not like we did the same with the draft.

For where we are picking, if we get info and if he declares, I want Mike Williams from Clemson.

In the first round or the second? He might last into the top of the 2nd, and I'd certainly trade up for him. He would be a great pick!

Man, Clemson sure has churned out some quality players, huh? That place has been a factory for good NFL players of late. I need to see just how many have been effective, but I think they have a lot of very good players in recent years coming from that program.

It seems they've been doing well at WR in particular of late.
