[News] Elvis Dumervil: 'I Take Full Responsibility'

Did Doom throw 2 interceptions and fumble the ball on three straight possessions? Did Doom call a timeout instead of taking a delay of game penalty before the final punt? Did Doom drop a punt?

You can't coach STUPID. Ever since Harbaugh made this his team ( go rid of Boldin, etc) this team has sucked. He looks clueless. Nice to see a player take responsibility but that just means we have a classy 2-7 team. NICE. Wonder what owner thinks!!!!!

After a bye week they had plenty of time to prepare for the Jags and they still looked pretty bad. Flacco had 1 int and 1 fumble Aiken caused the other int the ball hit his hands and like it or not in the NFL if the ball hits a WR's hands it should be caught it was a little high but hit both his hands= Aikens fault PERIOD..... and Ross muffed the punt. Lewis should have come up with the pick that hit him between the numbers and way too many stupid penalties.

That is because this Ravens team is trash!  They been playing like this for 9 weeks now so no one should be shocked or surprised by the outcome!  Be surprised by a win..if they win!

No Doom didn't...I agree!  But Doom said it best..... "Nobody feels sorry for us!"

Neither do I cause they've been put this type of trash on the field for 9 weeks now!  Same old junk even after a 2 week bye.  Pathetic!

At what point are we allowed to start talking about draft picks? With the Lions waking up against Green Bay and the Jaguars moving out of the two win crowd I think we are on the short list for an early pick with the likes of Detroit, Tennessee and Cleveland (who already beat us). High first and second round draft picks could make this team a lot more fun to watch in 2016! I think Doom probably helped more than hurt this team today.

That muffed punt by Ross that led to a Jags TD did not help either. You can say there is plenty of things that led to this loss.....you can not put this all on one player.

That hurt ... and no only in the outcome of this game.

We've nothing to play for other than to see some guys that we have show us they are worth keeping next year. We can't turn over 3/4 of our roster in a season ... we need some of these guys to look like keepers. Ross - like so many of our players, can look good one minute and give you hope and then turn around and kill you. He has a really nice return to put us in to JAX territory ... then muffs a punt that costs us dearly.

Do the Ravens need to go into full rebuilding mode? Is this Ozzie's plan? Keep sucking real bad like today, get first pick, let Joe walk away in off season and draft their next franchise quarterback.

If that happens, I am sure that they will draft another Kyle Boller and then we will be all happy. Go Ravens.

Can't wait till the end of the year "State of the Ravens" address to see what Oz and Bisciotti have to say about this season? Just numb at this point. Really is the worst team in the history of the Ravens. Took 20 years but they did it. Now what are they going to do to fix it? Does anyone really think Joe is a 20 million a year QB?

It has looked like our philosophy has been to play our games to not get beaten, instead of playing games to beat our opponents.

That's what bend but don't break sounds like.

GONE IS DOMINANT RAVENS DEFENSIVE FOOTBALL...!!!

The cancer of mediocrity has also spread to our offensive play calling, where we don't close out games with our foot on the throat of our opponents! Instead we try to eat up a little clock.

I'm sorry but when you play to dominate and you fall a little short, you are probably still a playoff calibre team.

When you are playing just not to lose, and you fall short you lose every time !

You give teams like the Raiders, Jags and Browns all the confidence they need to win!

Looks like it's time to start shooting for better draft picks.!

There were many opportunities in this game to win it and the Ravens did none of them. How is the heck can you throw passes behind the line of scrimmage on third and 4 and EVEN on 4th down? Holy crap, what the hell kind of offense is that? The Ravens are just a bad team. They are undisciplined and kill themselves with stupid turnovers. Anyone still talking about 8-0? What a load of crap. They can't even beat Jacksonville, which had not won on the road in three years, at home. How sad is that?

We've lost 1 year (this year). What's Detroit & Miami done the past couple of years? What have they done this year besides being last in their divisions? What's your point - we should throw everything away and be more like the Lions? The team that has never won a Super Bowl? That's your brilliant solution?

If anyone is very angry right now, its because you guys kept believing that somehow this team would "win out" and somehow make the playoffs, which I always thought was a joke to even think about. I gave up hope for this team after that home loss to the Browns. And it really helps because I no longer lose my cool and go about my Sundays with an attitude. For the first time in my life, I felt nothing earlier when the kicker made that 53 yarder. Its weird because I used to get so pumped during our games, and when we lost I would literally feel like hurting someone smh. But now I feel nothing. This isn't the Ravens team we once knew. It is a poorly put together circus of new and old players.

Maybe if we didn't have so many free agents on this team there would be some sort of a nucleus. Instead everyone is just here for a check.

How sorry are our scouts, that BOTH our starting safeties are FREE AGENTS smh.

That was a huge hit by Will Hill, but in essence, what did it change.

I know this was a very weird finish to a game, but I just wonder if they should have known to finish the game on that last play. They kind of did leave Dumervil out there to dry.

As much as I hate a few teams around the league, I have to wonder which teams would have played till the whistle ends the game. We seemed disinterested in earning the win all game long, so it is only fitting that we lost the game and we lost the game as a team, really, not much else to say, except it was a very lackluster end to an awful season.

doom was the only guy actually play on the last snap lol.

everyone else was walking off the field, celebrating or just standing and watching.

if doom did the same as the others bortles could have thrown an easy TD.

now that would have looked way and way worse .....

And you call yourself a fan? Sure, I believe a win is less likely the further down this season, but I still think it possible. What kills us is the penalties. It's obvious the guys aren't all on the same page. I saw some people play lights out as well. I'm sorry that Doom was the only one playing on that snap and that he grabbed Bortles wrong and lost them the game. But he was also the only one who played. He had 2 sacks. Lardarius Webb played lights out. Juice is without an argument the most impressive fullback in the league. Kamar Aiken stepped up bigtime, he was better than I expected. Our TEs all made the effort. Will Hill had a penalty for late hit, but apart from that, he's brilliant. Those are only the guys who played well. Again, what broke our back is the penalties.

This team has come full circle . They have become the Browns that they once were. The 16th game of the season cannot come fast enough now. It is becoming embarrassing to wear Ravens Fan gear for many fans. Yes, we are all spoiled an disappointed to see our team fail week after week. Losing games by 2-3 points each week is getting to be the norm and we can see that the many penalties and dropped passes are the root of the problem. All I can see no is that the 49rs and the Ravens wee at the top 3 years ago. A Harbaugh was the coach of both teams and where are these teams now? Makes you wonder what these two guys are doing to cause these 2 teams to slide so fast. Jim is now back at the NCAA level and not doing so well at MICHIGAN is he? It's not all on the injuries either. Discipline and talent depth are key in our demise. That is on coaching.

Michigan is 8-2 and #14 in the country.  Just saying.

My point:

What have we done in the past couple years?

Are we last in our division?

Throw everything away- what exactly do we have left to throw away? Ozzy has done that already... How's our most recent draft picks doing? Pick a year?

If you keep doing the same thing and expecting different results that called...............

How has nothing improved even after a bye week?

Well, I'm glad that Dumervil took full responsibility for what he did because there is just No excuse for any player in the NFL, especially a veteran like him, to make such a stupid, bone-headed play. It Literally did cost us the game. And it's good that Lewis took responsibility for not catching a pass that I could have caught the play before Dumervil's ill-witted play. That cost us the game just as much. But, Every player who didn't finish the last play, Dumerbil's mental breakdown, are responsible as well. You play until you hear the whistle, Not until you Think the game is over. Simply pathetic, guys. Everybody on that field should feel plenty ashamed. It's so hard to believe what I'm seeing from this team this year, and so hard to even watch it. But, NO MATTER WHAT, I love my Ravens, and wouldn't miss a game for Anything. But, My Goodness, it's hard to watch. It's like they just REFUSE to win. Even when they win, they refuse it and Force the other team to take the win because it would get in the way of us losing. That's Exactly what it looks like. These guys are finding totally new ways to lose. And, Harbaugh, I'm sorry, but all the signs are there that you have lost these players and the locker room. Are you EVER going to hold these players accountable? We are TOTALLY Leaderless.
