2015 Ravens unluckiest team ever?

44 posts in this topic

You make your own luck in this league, the NFL is unforgiving. We've been hurt by injuries, but every team goes through that. We just didn't have the depth on the roster to deal with certain losses. However its easy to say we're unlucky when you lose these games by such small margins ...

We had four turnovers today, also a bunch of penalties that kept drives alive. I was stunned that we even stood a chance to win this game. It's just a bad team, although I agree luck hasn't been our side due to the injuries.

I don't know about all NFL teams, but this is certainly the unluckiest Ravens team I can recall. I think it's Schaub. He's an albatross. He got Texans the top pick and helped the Raiders get Cooper.

Exactly!  So there are no excuses whatsoever in my eyes...none!

And people need to accept that!

Absolutely no excuses, the NFL is as cutthroat as it gets. The front office realizes that, this team was not built to withstand depth concerns and its been coming for a few years now. I believe this season will motivate Ozzie & Co. and with a Top 10 pick, and higher picks in the other rounds we're set up to crush the draft; Especially now that our needs are very obvious.

If so, hopefully we only signed him for 1 year and don't resign him. I don't think this board can take 2 seasons in a row like this one.

I wouldn't call not being able to close games luck, I blame our defense though cus the offense is playing with camp body recievers

Just stop this garbage. This team is bad. Just deal with it. This whole teams inability to accept reality is just making problems worse and forcing us into a downward spiral.

He's only signed for a year. It'll be funny if we're good next year and Joe looks worlds better. Lol

No question this team is a few men short on both sides of the ball and hasn't realistically been a contender.  But dag, they've certainly had an excellent chance to win every one of their losses. Yes, pretty darn unlucky at 2 - 7.

Say what? Maintaining optimism and not throwing in the towel is making things worse and forcing us into a downward spiral?

joey bosa and tyler boyd will make this better, #1 pick here we come!

The Lions aren't going to give it up without a fight.  If we fight for the first like we fight in games, we'll have the 2nd pick...

We'll be down 24 in the last game of the season, to decide if we get the first and comeback to win.

This team has been horrible for 9 weeks now...just horrible...close games or not!

Thank you man!

Of course it hasn't!  Bad teams find ways to lose Tank just like the good teams find ways to win.  The Ravens are the former and have been for 9 weeks now man.

Look at the rest of the teams that are under .500. What do they have in common? What do they not have in common?

Two teams ideally shouldn't be under .500, but they are.

We just don't have any talent, plain and simple.

For the life of me I do not know how Rivers is supposed to be a better QB than Flacco. Maybe better at throwing tantrums and making great faces for meme pics...
But I digress...

What a disappointment.

Get real! The US Marines are looking for a few good men. We need several. We need to draft character, not characters. As for luck, luck is what a great Roman philosopher, Robert Seneca, said it was: "Luck is where preparation meets opportunity." Good teams have good luck and bad teams tend toward bad luck because it is what you prepare for, or in our case you fail to prepare for. In the case of today's game, it had nothing to do with bad luck or "unlucky" as you put it. It had to do with stupid plays by professional players who get paid a lot of money not to make mental mistakes. That's all!@!!!

I'm beginning to believe that after the whole Deflategate controversy, one of them witches in New England put a curse on this team after blaming us for having a hand in it. Joking of course....well, only half joking  ;)

we're not a bad team or we're not da browns/redskins or teams that are generally not stable (coaches  or GMs), we just need couple of players on D CB & pass-rusher, and offense WR. remember 1 of our issue dis year is INJURIES. so we need reload on good talent in top 10 of da draft.

I mean, let's stop playing the "what if" games. Yeah, we were in one score games. But there are multiple games where we shouldn't have even been close to being within one score. We can't sit here and say there's a chance we could have won because there were games that we should have gotten blown out.
