[News] Game Recap: Jaguars 22, Ravens 20

Coaches are to get the best out of the players. If they can't then it's either the coaches or who ever put them on this team.

Because it's never the players, right? Blame the government, lol

The thrill of victory and then the at the very end the agony of defeat!!!!!!!! Why did the offense not keep the first downs going, I knew disaster was inevitable when they turned it back over to Jacksonville. They are what their record says they are!!!!!!!!! At least they won't have the playoffs to be concerned with, and can focus on the draft.

I would rather watch a team play to win for 60 minutes rather than play to win for 58 minutes and trying to preserve your lead the last two minutes. That's what I saw today (again!)... I love the Ravens and I'm in it for the season but this is hard, very hard.

I think one thing that Ravens front office, coaches, media, and perhaps some fans didn't realize is that while we were patting OZ on the back for finding diamonds in the rough through undrafted free agents, admiring his patience for letting whoever fall to the Ravens in the draft, being shrewd by letting veterans go, teams like the Browns, Bengals, Raiders, Jags were improving their football team by wining during the offseason. At most positions, Jags, Browns, Bengals, Raiders, are more talented that the Ravens. We are use to being the better team, but compare the rosters and their stats. the close game we use to win against those teams are now the ones we are losing. Ravens need to start winning in the offseason instead of being complacent

When a team sinks this low in the standings in a season, I think maybe they just don't play up to snuff. This could be a very good example of that. And for me, the end to this season will be a blessing. And I luv football. Just not this stuff. Just wondering how many players who started this season are still on the field, now?

Team is messed up psychologically, which is exactly why I want Harbaugh gone.

the 49ers said the same thing. Let's get rid of the coach that has done nothing but win. The locker room is is disarray, the head coach has to go. So, I can't wait to watch the 49ers in the Super Bowl this year...oh wait....

I think it has more to do with picking in the Top 5 every year than winning in the off-season. I mean, Bernard Pierce really ran all over the Ravens today, right?

Another very typical 2015 loss...stupid turnovers, couldn't cover against the pass, and some back-breaking penalties. Good news is, 2 of those 3 things are easy to turnaround in an offseason. The third, pass defense, can be fixed most easily with a D-Coordinator change (we are otherwise locked into the defensive players and their contracts).

Well....i guess at this point i will be rooting for the Colts to nose dive, so they fire Pags, and we scoop him up as our DC next year....Trestman can go as well, haven't been impressed at all with his play calling....JMO....:)

If you (anyone on this blog) thinks that coaching isn't the problem, just look at last season's offense under the one year administration of Gary Kubiak and company. It made a big big difference and not coincidentally the same year he and his staff were in charge of the offense. I do believe the present coaching is doing it's best, but that there are other coaches available who could do much better. That goes across the board in all phases of the team. Now you may not like the simple deduction but there is a reason some teams do better year after year after year no matter who is playing.

Sooner the FO realize that we can't win with Trestman the better we can be. If I were the FO, I'd be looking around for an OC that's just not buried in the play book but in the game. We can get that coach started now, so that by next season, we hit the ground running.

Agreed. Same O-line, same pro bowl RB but the results have regressed. The running game protects your defense, helps salt away a lead, limits turnovers, wears down the defense, slows down the pass rush, sets up big plays through play action, and yet Trestman calls pass play after pass play. The run game last year hid our  weaknesses because we imposed our will on the clock and the opposing defense. Also, Joe is a 8-year veterans QB, he ought to check out of those plays and realize he does not have the talent to carry the team through the air.

Unfair is a matter of opinion.i have long felt it's unfair this lack of support. If fans are so upset...leave. No one forces you to cheer for Ravens. Lots of other teams in NFL, if winning matters than find a winning team. I really thought Ravens should have won this game...but since they didn't...I'm still going to look for the positives...why? Because don't expect a negative attitude to improve anything....EVER!

I'm with you girl. These fans make me sick. It's like you can't win with some of you people..first you want the team to lose so we can get a high draft pick- then you want to rag on them and complain when they actually do lose. And when they win against San Diego you make comments like" all we're doing is messing up our draft position now" ..you can't have it both ways.

There's a difference between constructive criticism and being a negative *profanity. I mean ppl laughing when Flacco throws an interception saying I told you so? Really? It does get tiring defending a team that performs like this but you shouldn't throw salt on open wounds. We've performed poorly and have had A LOT of bad luck. That's all it is to it. We can reavulate the coaching staff after the season but there's no need to continue piling on and making crazy accusations saying to bench doom and start schaub and blazay blah. I expect this kind of thing on a message board but as Ravens fans have some damn pride. Again.. There is nothing wrong with being dissatisfied and giving constructive criticism. But to only stick around during the good times is FAKE. Real fans stick it out win or lose, ride or die.

@RavensFootballFan Yes it is getting kind of comical isn't it?

But with every new way the team finds to lose a game... our draft pick gets higher and higher (trying to be optimistic)

People saying we should get Chuck Pagano and Sean Payton as our offensive and defensive coordinators next season but when I looked to think about it is are they gonna staying for multiple years or just one season and they become head coaches again then we right back at the same situation. We need good coordinators that will stay here for awhile not leave in one season.

the draft is part of the offseason.

and its not all just top draft picks.

Hurns didnt get drafted at all.

Covlin and Smith are 4th and 5th round picks respectively.

Bortles is the only first round guy of import on their starting line ups, and he's not spectacular at all.

All of their most important playmakers are second round or later picks IF they got drafted at all.

for those wanting to change the coaching staff, the game planning was good yesterday. We still don't have any consistent DB's. Lewis' interception drop yesterday lost the game, not the bone head play by Dumerville. The offense was working except for Flacco's turnovers.
