[News] Game Recap: Jaguars 22, Ravens 20

Just the way the season has gone, if we made the gimmee int the play before we win....The defense bailed out the offense all day long, and it was good to see a solid effort from the entire defense...Just keep letting the youngsters get valuable experience...Bashing the team now that the season is really over as far as playoffs, doesn;t do any good. lets keep cheering on the team, and the young guys....

@JamesA119 Honestly I think the flag should not of been thrown. At that point the time had expired and he was getting tackled anyway. Just the way the season's been going.

The Ravens fought like crazy to lose this game and in the end they prevailed.....they successfully snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. When a team loses at home, coming off of a bye against a lousy team, that team is even lousier. Just 7 more disasters and this season will be over. But, fortunately the Lions won, so our drafting situation just got better.

Wow.....at least you can say the Ravens were consistent in all three phases of the game...bad! So.....draft talk now? GO RAVENS!

With all of these bad plays, misplays, and mistakes, where does the coaching staff begin. It seems everyone had a part in this loss, except for a few players. I think some drops by our defensive backs (possible INT's) some bad Quarterbacking plays, too many penalties, and on 4th down, early in the game, if you're going to throw it on 4th and 4, you should at least throw it the 4 yards, and not short of that. I agree with going for it there, but you have to give your receivers a chance, just like on 4th and goal you don't want to throw it short. Seems it was a team loss, and I don't put the blame squarely on Doom's shoulders, that would be unfair to him.

Some un-knowledgeable fans want to blame Trestman for that play on 4th & 4. But NO team in the NFL has a play that calls for a crossing TE at 2 yards. I played TE in high school & college and it's the TE (or receiver) job to MAKE SURE THEY RUN THEIR ROUTE PAST THE 1st DOWN MARKER especially on a crossing pattern. That play is COMPLETELY the fault of Gilmore. Ask him and I bet he'll tell you same thing. Every coach I ever had taught it that way.

Bottom line, players didn't get it done today - Lewis dropped INT, Flacco's bad throws, Ross (David Reed 2.0) muffed punt, too many penalties, horrible tackling, etc. Winners make plays, losers blame the refs.

Also, it disturbs me that this team does not play to win, but plays not to lose...that to me is the most aggravating thing to watch. Say what you will about New England, but that is why they are, who they are, because they don't let up on any play, and they don't make stupid penalties, and they TACKLE, you have to respect that, even if you hate them.

Not sure what everyone is so worked up about. All three phases were doing their level best to make sure we owned the tie breaker against Jacksonville in the 2016 draft. Could our guys have done a better job of ensuring we lost? The innovative ways we came up with to seal the loss are a credit to our ingenuity.

Sean Payton & Chuck Pagano will be available after this season...... Time to re-build is now. Harbaugh week-in week-out has failed to discipline this team

Trestman is lost. I didn't mind the pass heavy or even exclusive pass strategy this game since Jacksonville has a terrible secondary and strong run defense, you can win that way, the Patriots do it, not a problem. What is the problem is he is not using the weapons that work, run 2 and 3 tight end sets on a regular basis they are strong for us. Then adapt to the game playing out, but he seems to slow it down when speed is working and speeds it up when slower is appropriate. Plus all the short throw routes seem a yard short on the chains moving downs. He just looks like he is running an offense that would work ten years ago. Yes he didn't have the horses this year but it is the in game management and planning for the players that you have that is off. Unfortunately they will keep him for next year.

well at least we will probably have the top pick next year (if we can't beat the jags, we can't beat anyone.. 2-14 is the most probable reality here) also, we should have a rather new coaching staff next year since this one will be producing the worst season in Baltimore history. hopefully flacco takes the drastic pay cut he is due (like it or not he is a bottom 10 QB stat-wise in regular season) or we pick up a QB in the draft that can play well the 1st 16 games as well as the play-offs. also.. someone get on the phone with Pagano.. we need him back

Unfair is a matter of opinion.i have long felt it's unfair this lack of support. If fans are so upset...leave. No one forces you to cheer for Ravens. Lots of other teams in NFL, if winning matters than find a winning team. I really thought Ravens should have won this game...but since they didn't...I'm still going to look for the positives...why? Because don't expect a negative attitude to improve anything....EVER!

Well, Ravenshine, "negative attitude" is a matter of opinion as well. What some might perceive as negative attitudes, others might think of as ideas and constructive criticism. I, actually, enjoy reading other fans' observations and ideas. Of course, some of the postings are venting, and often written while emotions are too high. I can do without them too. But, as for me, you're right, No one forces me to cheer for the Ravens. I do that, by choice, because I care not one iota about any other NFL team. And, win or lose, I will be a Raven fan for life. Certainly, I love winning, and hate losing even more. But, that's because I've always been an extremely competitive athlete myself. And, of course, I would rather my Ravens be winners again. But, like I said, win or lose, I'm a "RavenManiac" for life. All is well with me, Ravenshine. I mean No one any harm.

These aren't mistakes week after week, it's what bad teams do. I've said many times that Harbaugh should be fired and got neg'd into infinity. No worries, with time you'll all come around.

Here I sit broken hearted.....

This year our team just....can't get started.

What a shame, all are to blame.

Now we are three and seven.....

Think I'll dig a hole...

And stick my head in.

Still love our team, but I gotta admit that this year is a wash, just too many adversities to overcome. Oh, what could have been......

The downfall of the Ravens began when they decided to give Smith & Webb big contract...They both suck.I know Flacco has the biggest contract...He would be alot better if he had some receivers.Tight ends are great. If you put all our wide receivers together...they would make a pimple on Steve Smith butt. Also Trestman needs to be replaced...Doesn't have a clue...Forsett who was one of the best running backs in the league last year. Carried the ball maybe 8 times til 4 minutes left when all you need is a field goal or a first down and the game is over. NOW he decides to run every down. Pees sucks too. Ravens foundation from forever has always been defence. Now they are a joke.

Team is messed up psychologically, which is exactly why I want Harbaugh gone.

Coaches are to get the best out of the players. If they can't then it's either the coaches or who ever put them on this team.

Another disappointing loss! Saw some positives but, positives for next year. Everyone, including the coaches, are getting game time together and we'll be better for it next season. A bit rough to sit through right now though, when the jags beat you in your own house.

The Ravens are now officially in the rebuilding mode. There are several bright spots on the team. Time to focus on returning players, returning staff, and potential draft picks.

Vince Lombardi couldn't win with players that can't catch, can't tackle or can't fair catch a punt. But you watched the game today and think it's Harbaugh's fault....lol.

I am now placing myself on season-ending fan IR...... Due to continual inflicted wounds by the Ravens this year, (and I truly thought I could tough out the year), I am afraid my blood pressure after every game will not allow me to go on...... Yep, I am throwing up the big white flag of surrender......

Now looking to 2016, that should allow enough time to heal, hopefully....... :)

This team is mistake after mistake after mistake. The reason the Patriots win consistently, is because BB doesnt put up with mistakes, and it starts with coaching. When the coaches are unorganized, and confuse the players, they cant do their jobs. If you were at the game today like I was, the constant subbing in of personnel groups caused confusion. Guys had no clue where they were supposed to be. It looked bush league to me, and the mistakes, unreal. Then you add play calling, this team is in major dissarray. I do not believe the coaches are getting the most of these players, and it needs to get better.
