Vent thread week 10: Jaguars

I didn't understand that move either.. it's first quarter, take the points not the risks.

Ya and the fact that they were trying to pass and there was a pattern run shy of the yardage needed to pick up the first just baffles me every player on the field at that time should have been past the first down marker on the pattern they ran so when the ball was caught its a first down instead of a turn over on downs.

I know Dumervil had the boneheaded last play. I just don't understand how he is to blame for this loss with all the other boneheaded plays we witnessed today from an underachieving team.

He certainly isn't the only one to blame but damn, could you make a bigger mistake at the end of a game.

I think my only vent is the few silly fans that are asking for Schaub.

Either they haven't watched much football, or they haven't seen Schaub recently if they seriously want him out there.

I'm at the point that if we couldn't come out and blow out the Jaguars then we would, should and deserved to lose. The fact that Flacco has to force balls to someone has bad as Aiken is an indictment on this team.

The losing sucks, but being completely honest I just hope this team doesn't screw up losing now. Meaning don't over win, when it's too late and screw up draft position.

Every year we've loss talent from the defense, Kruger, A.Jones, Ellerbe, McPhee a few younger players. It's time to replenish some talent through draft picks.

I saw something on twitter just to add. There was a slow motion shot of the dumervil play the guard was still moving into his stance and the tackle lined up as a tight end. I know it doesn't matter but that has to be called when in that situation your job is to look exclusively at the line

The refs have been poor all year. Not shocked that they would miss something like that.

I don't think Harbaugh is our problem.  What we are experiencing is a long period of sub standard drafting...Too long for Today's NFL. You can't blow your top picks like we've been butchering them the last five years.  We haven't drafted any phenoms.

That said, I don't believe the team is responding to Harbaugh any longer.  8 years is a long gig in the NFL and we are at a complete rebuild juncture.  Still, we need to address the root problem.  We have a very old front office that has been entitled. Its time to address that.

I agree with that. The recent drafts have left much to be desired. They haven't even added solid starters much less HOF types.

But we also can't discount the effect of signing players like Rice and Pitta to big contracts. They might have been able to ameliorate the bad drafting by signing free agents or trading for good players if their cap wasn't in the condition that is currently in.

Who cares? He's made a name for himself in Baltimore.

This year and 2013 don't erase his Superbowl win nor the other post-season victories and appearances. If this is how it ends, I will still say that I enjoyed the ride.

If you didn't care you wouldn't respond, Harbaugh road Billick's team to the dance with a quarterback he had nothing to do with being drafted, once he washed away Billick's team this is the results. If you don't care why are you even on the ravens page, hmmmm. Edited by Hardhitters

Someone said earlier that a loss today (before that disastrous last play even happened) could finally begin the downward spiral into blowout losses. Looks like that could definitely happen.

Ross and Jackson should be cut. Saying Dumervil should be benched isn't that much of a stretch, either.

ive been saying this for weeks. this team is teetering off the edge, any week now it will start to get really ugly. sooner than later.

i honestly think we will be lucky to go 4-12 this year. most likely 3-13.

just an ugly, ugly team this year.

just wrap his lower body up. I mean you can't just sit here and ACt like he's not to blame.

Slow your roll I am not saying he is not to blame but there are a lot of comments on here that are singling him out. I want to know why he was the only guy in the back field on that play where were the other defensive players? Lets talk about Lewis getting hit between the numbers and not picking off the ball right at the end that could have been game. Better yet lets talk about all the boneheaded penalties. What I said is this game is not on Dumervil as some posters are claiming this was a whole team SUCKING AT HOME AFTER A BYE WEEK PERIOD!!!!!!

Dumervil play wasn't bonehead at all he was trying to finish a play, that was wild the QB fell down got up scrambling, Dumervil is trying to make a play grabbing a facemask happens it's not like he had a late hit or something silly. Like the opening game when Jernigan had some dumb PI for no reason at all..

Two weeks to prepare and the result is 4 turnovers, 9 penalties for 122 yards, and a loss to a team that hadn't won on the road since 2013.

Maybe Harbs will shut up about the playoffs now. Stop talking playoffs and start making actual plays. This team is so devoid of impact players.

Straight trash ratedr...straight trash man!

While we have a bunch of bad players on this team , both Trestman and Pees need to go . Trestman is turning Flacco into a Jay Cutler and his third down play calls are laughably bad .

Pees with his zone garbage and playing off the ball . Bring back

Pagano when he gets fired

I really don't think we have bad players, there are some really hard working ones on the field, but they're not playing as a "team".. and I agree, Trestman and Pees are a major part of the problem.

I agree with that. The recent drafts have left much to be desired. They haven't even added solid starters much less HOF types.

So Mosely,Jernigan, Gilmore, and our rookie TEs aren't even solid starters?

I just don't understand why there are no penalties for the refs. I mean I would love to see something like when NCAA suspended the officials after the Miami duke game. That would never happen in the NFL. Not even after in 2013 the refs screwed the blown call against the steelers to get them in the playoffs this league every time I look in every way I look at it is becoming worse and more of a joke

Watching the lions win against the Packers makes me think we are on the way to the #1 pick, but really the lions beat the packers is more suprsing than us losing to the Jags.  I saw saw that coming all week

Speaking of the Pack, it's interesting to see that even the best QB in the game can't get it done without a decent run game, good wide receivers, and decent playcalling. Or at least 2 of the 3. On the other hand, you can stick a terrible Matt Cassel on a Patriots team, and he'll thrive.

Please get Flacco some weapons and a decent OC.

Somewhere in the middle of the round?

I meant that we'll end up w/ a mediocre but not terrible record so we'll end up with a mid-to-high-teen pick in the first round.

Now that the season truly is over - not that it wasn't already other than slight hope, but I mean close to mathematically over - and the only consolation is the potential of getting a top draft pick....

Watch we'll even fail at that and go on to win 4 or 5 of our remaining games so we don't even get a top 10 pick. I swear, if we have this miserable of a season and don't end up with a top 5 pick I'll go nuts.

Start the rookies and backups to get a proper evaluation of them... And to help guarantee a top pick.

I agree. I just can't fathom why trawick still has a job. When we let Melvin who had promise go. That... I wish I could say what I want on here... He hasn't done a thing to help us ever since he got here. Starts off by knocking out Jacoby. And every single week he has a f....ng block in the back on punt return. EVERY SINGLE WEEK. He can't tackle in a real game we saw that against the cardinals I'm wondering why he's still here I'm wondering why breshad isn't on IR and camp is. There is a lot of this that I question about this team

Who Harbaugh added, you mean the guys he put in the dog house, got rid of and was too much of alpha males for him to coach.

I don't know the qb coach on the team but I just have this feeling he isn't doing a good job.  I don't care for trestmen it took me weeks to fake myself into thinking he was the best man for the job.

Offense should controlled the ball, it should have never gone back to Jacksonville!!!!!!!!!! can't blame the loss on one play.

I hate saying this but I would be disappointed picking that high.  The team is not good and we now have a great opportunity to get a high pic
