Vent thread week 10: Jaguars

I don't think Harbaugh is our problem.  What we are experiencing is a long period of sub standard drafting...Too long for Today's NFL. You can't blow your top picks like we've been butchering them the last five years.  We haven't drafted any phenoms.

That said, I don't believe the team is responding to Harbaugh any longer.  8 years is a long gig in the NFL and we are at a complete rebuild juncture.  Still, we need to address the root problem.  We have a very old front office that has been entitled. Its time to address that.

Just fire Harbaugh already, and stop acting like he's a good coach, you know he's not your just ACTING like he is.

youre the guy that said either the coach or the team should leave... I'm disregarding your Harbaugh talk completely. Edited by Cillmatic

Me too. Not 1 player wants to face the media right now. Harbs had a very short presser. I have never seen any team refuse to come out to the podium either. All time low for the team's spirit. Any remaining fire got doused after a loss like this.

I guess they have finally realized what kind of team they really are.

Almost everyone else already knew, but this might be a rude awaking for the players and coaches.

Yeah but we've seen what our drafts have been like since 2009. What bothers me also is why they gave Pitta a new contract after he busted his hip. That really makes no sense.

I always thought that was a bad idea. I mean, not so much signing him, but I thought they would have given him a lighter contract that they could get out of more easily. A low risk, high reward kind of thing.

The Rice contract also disturbed me. Even I knew that 1k running backs are basically a dime a dozen.

But that is neither here nor there. We can't turn back the clock.

These are your 2015 Baltimore Ravens.

A performance like that after a bye week WOW!!!! I guess we are playing for a draft pick.

what do you mean after a performance like that. We turned the ball over 4 times and allowed only 9 points out of it. Do you know how good that is? We had 397 yards of offense. We played great... We just can't win this year

Coming from the guy who said either the coach or the team should leave im disregarding your Harbaugh talk completely.

Lol right the coach or the team, a smart guy would say oh he definitely means the coach because we love our team, but in your case you just didn't get that, disregarding really suits you best.

3) I'm not putting blame on Tucker here. Kicking 58 yards in 10-15 mph wind is a lot to ask. However, not kicking the FG early on to opt for the 4th and 4 was a stupid move. Take the points early, not the risk.

I didn't understand that move either.. it's first quarter, take the points not the risks.

I know Dumervil had the boneheaded last play.  I just don't understand how he is to blame for this loss with all the other boneheaded plays we witnessed today from an underachieving team.

It does need to be blown up with a handful of players left standing . Flacco , Yanda ,Tucker , and a few others

i'd question flacco at his current salary. I'd say unless he takes a BIG BIG paycut it be best to trade him.

While we have a bunch of bad players on this team , both Trestman and Pees need to go . Trestman is turning Flacco into a Jay Cutler and his third down play calls are laughably bad .

Pees with his zone garbage and playing off the ball . Bring back

Pagano when he gets fired

Yeah. The only saving grace I see from this season is that we've been in all these games until the end. We only lost by mistakes we ourselves make. Granted, any losing team can say this, but I truly don't think this team is lightyears away from contending once again. It's just we seem to lack the discipline to remain calm and not lose the game in crunch-time, or we simply try to force things to win the game. When you do these things, you end up losing. Flacco's game-ending interceptions and this Dumervil play are very good examples of these two circumstances where we try to force a situation to win, or we lose our discipline and it costs us.

I truly think we're only two or three players away from being a SB contender. I have faith that we'll be better next year, but I think I've lost my hope for this season after this game. Too much craziness to really believe anymore. Maybe we do, but I can't see the playoffs anymore. That's a distant memory even for an optimist like myself. I'll just enjoy the ride and the player growth this year.

I agree with most of what you are saying,  but how was Dumervil trying to force a situation to win?  He really didn't need to do anything there.

just wrap his lower body up. I mean you can't just sit here and ACt like he's not to blame.

I mean this is a team heavily decimated by injuries at the most important positions along with the fact that we have players still recovering from injuries. I think the injury excuse is legit, but we've been competitive in every game we've been in. I personally think we need a reevaluation of the defensive coaching staff.

Let it go PC!  These Ravens are trash man!  Competitive trash!  I told cats in here the other day not to sleep on the Jaguars and that the Ravens have done nothing in their previous games to really show me that they can finish off teams either offensively or defensively.  And....once again...they have proved my point for me in a game like to today.  They had 2 weeks of rest and preparation to come out swinging and firing on all cylinders against these Jaguars and what did they do?

I found this loss absolutely hilarious. It's just not our year fellas.

Stop rooting for more pointless wins.

Agreed about the draft. BUt some people just don't want to believe it, even though the proof is there, and has been clear as day since 2009.  On your other note, penalties have cost us in the end too many times this year, and that does fall on the head coach. So in essence, I agree with you on that second as well.

Who cares? He's made a name for himself in Baltimore.

This year and 2013 don't erase his Superbowl win nor the other post-season victories and appearances. If this is how it ends, I will still say that I enjoyed the ride.

Two weeks to prepare and the result is 4 turnovers, 9 penalties for 122 yards, and a loss to a team that hadn't won on the road since 2013.

Maybe Harbs will shut up about the playoffs now. Stop talking playoffs and start making actual plays. This team is so devoid of impact players.

I saw something on twitter just to add. There was a slow motion shot of the dumervil play the guard was still moving into his stance and the tackle lined up as a tight end. I know it doesn't matter but that has to be called when in that situation your job is to look exclusively at the line
