Well with the Jags winning and the Lions winning too does anyone know where we stand as far as the #1 over all pick in the draft?

Unlike the Wild Card, we're in the hunt.

Not exactly, but we are tied for worst record in the league with Cleveland, Dallas and Tennessee.

Cleveland beat us so I don't know if that gives us the draft head to head or not.

We have San Diego at 2-7 and San Fran at 3-6.  We really are a bottom clinger and we need to hold tight to that bottom.  Bomb for Bosa........though I am not certain hes the guy.

Does anyone else look back to Koch punt on our final drive. We called a timeout with 1 second left, when most teams take a delay of game?

I was a bit stomped that we done that, not for the 1 second that would have won us he game in hindsight, but the extra 5 yards for Koch to hit the ball higher, to give our gunners an extra second to get under the ball to down it inside the 5.

Comparing a HOF at the end of his career, to a qb who's in his "prime." Hmmmm

Thought that was a weird decision as well, unless Koch liked kicking from where he was at.

in the end you could say that second we didn't run off the clock was the difference between them getting the play off, but at the time, I was thinking delay of game to give You that extra 5 yards of error on your punt.

idk......I'm guessing they leave that up to Koch as to where he wants to punt from.

I don't understand why they don't snap it with 1 or 2 seconds left and keep the clock moving.

what does that gain? 9 times out of 10, teams take a delay of game there to run the clock entirely and give the punter be extra 5 yards

I've said this for a while.  I'm not a Harbaugh fan.  I think it was you as well who said you weren't too fond of him either.  I'm not exactly sure what he brings to the table.  Horrible TO, clock and challenge management.  Now the thing he was suppose to be ahead of, discipline, isn't even right and truth is, we've been undisciplined for a while.  Not having the Birks, Ray's and Ed's have shown in this teams play, I think.

OH yea, the punt.  The whole reason I quoted you.  It's stupid.  You take all the time off the clock thats possible and don't think twice.  You have one of the best punters in the league.

So if it makes anyone feel better the Broncos just benched Peyton Manning after his 4th interception.

Anyway, I have held onto the fact that this is not the same team they were going to field when training camp started. And it isn't even the same team they went to the Super Bowl with by a lot.

The season is a loss and every team has one now and again. It's been 7 years so I think the fire Harbaugh stuff is laughable and misguided. Hopefully Perriman plays next year and is what they want him to be. Maybe Givens stays and gets better. Gillmore, Williams, and Boyle look good. We locked up Yanda. Maybe our WR core becomes good.

The season is a loss, but I am not turningmy back on the team or the coach, or the players.

I detest Harbaugh, but yes, one think he was always good at was having a well disciplined, well drilled, well motivated team.

He seems to have lost that a wee bit, Def the discipline side as you say.

about 5 seconds game over

The clock runs as soon as the ball is snapped.  In this case, it left only 1 extra second on the clock.  Of course that looks really bad considering how the game ended, but it's a rare occurrence that something like that happens.

I remember telling my girlfriend that they wasted about 46 seconds on three plays to get to the 40 and that there was no way they would win... Welp...

I also thought they were moving way too slow, but alas, here we are...

Manning benched. But flacco sucks.

JAX Passing CMP ATT YDS YPA TD INT

Blake Bortles 22 45 188 4.2 2 1

BAL Passing CMP ATT YDS YPA TD INT

Joe Flacco 34 45 316 7 3 2

Kind of hard to believe we lost. 34 of 45 is darn good, even with those 2 ints.

Brady throws a goal to go pick. Everyone has bad days. The other team come to play as well. That goes for our defense as well. Sometimes the other guy is just better.

bryant and brown 16 catches for over 300 yards ozzie get joe some playmakers for once. You have a franchise qb in a league with all the rules benifitting the offense and not since the days of vinnie has there been more then one playmaking wr on this team at the same time.

I'll go the opposite way and talk about the positives: Flacco was amazing in the first half. One of his INTs wasn't his fauly, but those TOs were killer. However, he did come back and make some nice throws to set up the go-ahead TD.

I also like what I'm seeing from Buck and our young TEs.

Our pass defense gave up less than 200 yards which is awesome, but those penalties though...

Yeah that's all I got. I'm so done with Lewis. Couldn't even catch a cold if it him in the face. Whatever.

I'm not even disappointed anymore.

This one is on the offense, clear as day. I'd put the biggest lump on Joe, but he doesn't have any help. Between Joe, Trestman, Givens, and Kamar, plenty of blame to go around. Even some to the offensive line. This loss is all on the offense in my view. Sure, Doom screwed up, but if we get ONE more first down on that last drive, we get the W. If Kamar doesn't drop a wide open slant on the opening drive, we may score there. If we run the ball even a little bit more, maybe we get a little more balance on offense. If we actually get open, if we actually make good throws, if we just execute. The offense blew it in so many ways.

Trestman said he was going to work on the run game over the bye. I guess working on the run game means abandoning it. Where was the balance today?

I don't really know where to put this, but with regards to people talking about Melvin earlier (or maybe it was the Rams thread), he's getting worked by the Giants and Harris.

If you think this game is not fixed, think again. It would not shock me if the refs family was not threatened by some mobster. Too much money in betting going on, I am sure guys were trying to make up for the Rhonda loss last night.

Honestly, it totally takes the fun away when refs can predetermine the outcome

Yeah b/c everyone was betting on the Ravens/Jags game! But the refs had nothing to do w/ the Ravens 4 TOs in the second half.  Can you just stop?

I hate to knit pick but  if tuck makes his kicks vs bengals browns 49ers and jags we win or go to ot in all. gostkowski is perfect on the season and just drilled a 54 yarder for the win. if he wants gostkowski $ he has to make those kicks. i do love tuck just sayin
