[News] Justin Forsett: Fresh And Focused

8 posts in this topic

I believe so too!

Was watching the Jets Bills game and I saw what looked like Fitzpatrick head butt (a slight one helmet to helmet) a team member as they come off field after failing to make a first down play. It looked briefly like a heated exchange to me (Fitz then pointed finger at guy and said something, then walked away). I thought of Ravens and their situation how there were many games could have turned into locker room battles, on field slights at each other...instead you all have kept working together...just keep doing as you're doing. Keep being a team that plays like a team!

I have all the faith in these guys. They aren't a terrible team. They just need to close out drives and in turn.....close out games. As a fan it's disheartening to see them lose 6 games by the average score of less ....than a TD.

Looking forward to see them turn it around, over the next 8 Weeks !

Many criticize Ozzie, Harbaugh and the FO for drafting high character players over highly skilled ones. Just look at the difference between the Ravens locker room and the Cowboys locker room. Ravens players rally around each other....Dez & Hardy (extremely talented, zero character) and the rest of that team is imploding and pointing fingers. So next time the Ravens pass on a DJ Swearinger, Tyrann Mathieu or Dorial Green-Beckham, that is why.

I understand where your coming from but Tyrann Mathieu had problems with smoking weed, not beating his girlfriend.

It was a little more than smoking weed. He failed at least 10 drug tests and instead of owning up to it, he did the typical "blame the process" or "blame the people who leaked the drug tests". He refused to get counseling until he realized it would keep him out of the NFL. He was more concerned with hanging with his buddies and promoting the night club. He blew off teams and meetings before the draft (yet he still planned a huge draft party). No different than Josh Gordon or others. My point is that when things go bad, these types of character are the 1st to blame everyone else but themselves and it destroys the team (see 49ers, Cowboys, Bengals, etc). Let's see how he acts when he gets that $50 million contract after next year and then his team starts losing. I'm not saying that he hasn't turned his life around because it happens (and good for him if he does), but are you willing to gamble your draft and future salary cap on it? Ray Rice had one horrible incident and the Ravens are still paying the price for it. His dead money is part of the reason why we have to sign WR & CB off the street for minimum $$.

You gotta love Justin Forsett. This man has So much class, Always puts the team first, and I consider us fortunate to have him on our team. I am extremely happy that he was able to have the year that he had last year, earning himself a decent contract and some security for his family, whom he loves so much. Truth be told, he wouldn't have even had the chance to Have that successful season last year were it not for an incredibly unfortunate, and totally out of character, horrible incident committed by Ray Rice. Undoubtedly, Justin would have been Ray's backup without that disastrous night in that casino. All that said, and as much as I want Justin to remain on our team for the duration of his contract, I must confess that I believe the Ravens would be a better team if Justin Was, in fact, our backup RB. What I'm saying is that I believe the Ravens were much stronger when we had a Jamal Lewis, a Ray Rice, a more dominating, top three or so (league rated) RB as our feature back. The thing is, though, as many needs as this team currently has, I don't know exactly where this particular need is priority-wise. This is just yet another reason that I think the rest of this season would be best spent with our eye to the future. Eval every one of our players. Determine who we keep and who we don't. Figure out just how to prioritize the numerous needs our team has so that we can return to what we've been accustomed to see as Ravens fans. Please, be smart about this, Harbs. Do what's best, in the long term interests of our team.
