What a solid pick up Zuttah has been, remember those bad days when Gradkowski was a center and every team would just blitz through the middle!

He was the 33rd ranked center that year.  That's PRETTY DAMN bad when there's only 32 teams.  LOL!!

I enjoyed watching the awkward snaps....ahem...next day on game pass, was kinda funny/impressive the way it was contained and didn't cause any loss to game points. During the game it wasn't as funny and I'm pretty sure I shouted to the TV "what the heck is going on?" But...we won the game so...it's all good :D and ofc learned more on the why it happened later so makes sense now.

I really can not wait till this Sunday. Ravens had two weeks to reexamine their team top to bottom. This game will tell where the Ravens final record will be.

What astounds me is that Urschel snapped like he had never ever snapped a ball before. I'm not blaming him, but hey coaches why put him in at reserve Center if you thought he wasn't experienced snapping the ball? If you did know that he couldn't snap the ball well but still put him in - Shame on you!

I think it is pretty simple to understand, we kept the WRs, TEs , DBs and RBs you only have so many spots. That was the main reason Urschel is on the team is he is physically able to play most of the o-line. He is the perfect backup when you have limited space for backups. Bad side of that is he isn't a center and never has been so the only practice he really had was training camp. Training camp isn't the same as regular season game play and during the week backups don't get snaps that is why Tyrod was so bad when he used to come into games. In training camp if you are bad at something it often gets hidden because you are playing with backups and players who don't make the team unless you are a starter or regular player on the field. It is what it is...

I'm not too worried about Urschel. He had 2 weeks to practice his snapping, and last week was an impromptu appearance at Center after plying there only very little. He will have some struggles, but he won't be floating them all around Flacco like last game. He should still be good as a blocker outside of snapping the ball at the very least, and he should be good at reading opposing defenses considering he's a genius.

Why don't we just use Cox as center then if he is teaching it?

Because Cox must do the equivalent of throwing a football upside down between his legs into a trash can across the street and be perfect every single time he is called on to do it. Think regular snaps are tough? That is why all teams have a roster slot  just for a long snapper.

Cause Cox weighs 233lbs. We'd have to get a shovel to dig him out of the ground after every play.

On one hand I'm thinking, we need to draft some good offensive lineman to maintain a good O-line to protect Flacco, but at the same time this team really needs some better safeties & front 7. We have some huge holes to get out of to say the least. Then we still need WR's smh.

Let's hope Zuttah can play. If not I think Urschel will do an adequate job. He is certainly putting in the time and trying to get it right.
