10 Ravens who will not be on the team next year.

I don't know about people who wont be on the roster next season but if Georgia does get rid of Mark

Richt I would love to get him as a part of the Ravens coaching staff. Guy knows how to WIN and get the most out of his players and I believe he could help Harbs and the coaching staff.

Yeah I don't think we should cut Campanero. I think we keep 4 of the WR we got. KAMAR, Givens, Ross, and Camp

and hopefully Sr and maybe Perriman's PCL will have healed by then

I'm already looking at next year and have at least 10 Ravens players who will not be with the team next year.

Retired:

Dennis Pitta

Terrel Suggs

Steve Smith Sr. ( who will be traded to Carolina so he can sign a 1 day contract )

Waived or traded:

Michael Campanaro

Marlon Brown

Chris Canty

Matt Schaub

Joseph Morgan

Ladarius Webb

Allen Reisner

These coaches will also be fired.

Dean Pees and almost the entire defensive coaching staff.

Marc Trestman ( John Harbaugh will take over as OC )

I don't see Webb being cut.  He would only save 3.5 million.  He is worth more than that.  Canty would only save 765k.  He most likely will be back.

I can gurantee you that Harbaugh will not be the offensive coordinator next year.

There is probably a 1% chance (at best) of Trestman being fired. There is a 0% chance that Harbaugh takes over as OC if Trestman is gone.

There is a much higher chance than 1 percent of Trestman getting fired.  If the Ravens lose the rest of their games Harbaugh has a pretty good chance of getting fired.  Billick's last two season's here 13-3 and 5-11.  That sure beats 10-6 and 2-14.   New coach would bring in his own OC.

Trestman's job is safe. It's Ozzie who should be held accountable for the lack of talent on offense

There was not really anyone in the draft this year he missed, there was not really anyone in free agency who the Ravens could realistically make a move on.

Not disagreeing, but its funny how boyle is well over maxx given their draft spots.

Why don't threads like this just get deleted, yeah John Harbaugh who has zero experience as an OC is going to take over that position. There is not even a discussion here.

Yeah that's just simply not the case. At a 2-14 record, Harbaugh keeps his job.

And just so we can disprove this fan rumor/theory that Billick was fired for having one bad season...

Billick missed the playoffs entirely 3 of his last 4 seasons, and the season BEFORE he went 13-3 he went 6-10. His final three years in Baltimore, he was 24-24 in the regular season and 0-1 in the playoffs.

Keep in mind also that we had zero playoff wins in the final six years that Billick was the HC there, only made the playoffs in two of those years, including 2006 with a stacked team where we finished with the #1 seed and then lost our first playoff game at home.

Billick did not get fired for having one bad season, and neither is Harbaugh.

Webb could be cut. I think he'd be cut more due to dependability than savings. There comes a point where cap savings isn't the top criteria in determining to cut or keep a player. We may want his roster spot for someone more reliable.

I think it could go either way, it just depends on whether we addressed CB at that point. I think it's very likely only one of Arrington or Webb remain on this team next year.

Yeah. It's just not our modulus operandi to fire or cut someone abruptly. It happens but Harbaugh will have a long leash. It'll take four seasons of alternating losing and winning seasons for him to go unless we determine he's lost the locker room.

Steve Smith was 36 heading into the season, BP was a raw rookie and Aiken/Brown should be on a practice squad. He could've signed some players in free agency but now we're once again signing bandaids.

If the Ravens finish 2-14 this season they would be 20-28 the last three years.  That is worse than 24-24.  Also the Ravens will be 1-1 in the playoffs the last 3 seasons.  That isn't much better than 0-1.  I am not saying to say Harbaugh should be fired but 2-14 coaches rarely see the next season.  Especially if they made the playoffs the year before.  In Billick's final season he had a lot of injuries to deal with as well as having Boller as he is starting QB.

I don't know what the odds of him are getting fired are but it is certainly higher than 1 percent.

Agreed.  Season's only half over. Let's at least wait until we're about four games out from playoffs.  Knowing the Ravens, and the way they hang in there, that might be enough time.

I'm sure you are not suggesting we make the playoffs.

At the time of my post I was suggesting that while it may not be probable, it was not impossible.  Weirder things have happened in sports.  The Yankees coming back from a 14 game deficit half way through the 1978 season to take their division, the Buffalo Bills coming back from a 32 point deficit to beat the Oilers.  Can you say 1980 U.S.A hockey; do you believe in miracles?  Also as I had stated before, we're not the only team with a losing record.  Not so much enthusiastic as before, but yes, at the time of my post I was stating that it was and perhaps is still possible.
