my only thing with 9-7 is this.

The next four games are winnable. Not likely, but stranger things have happened.

I dont think we can beat Cincy this season even on our best day.  Unless they sit their starters since  we play Cincy week 16.

It could happen.

I believe....

But let's look at our schedule...

Dolphins - Should be a win

Seahawks - hardest remaining game. The Seahawks are surprisingly extra terrible on the road though. Who knows?

Chiefs - tough one. They've come alive as of late. Nearly as tough as Seattle

steelers - typical last second. Nothing new

Bengals - if they rest their starters, we win. If not...

I think surprisingly we will actually win the next 2.., I'm not as worried about Seattle as most people..I think we will match up pretty will against them and it's in Baltimore. I think Kansas City will be a tough one. Anything can happen every time we play Pittsburgh and obviously cinci may not have nothing to play for. Yes anythings possible but nothing would hurt me more than winning out and still missing the playoffs by one game due to the mall jaguar game AND playing our way out of a top 10 pick. That would just kill me.

Then what would the ravens do in the playoffs?? Ravens need to restocknsome aloha males to be legit championship contender!! Once the ravens lose to Seattle and Kansas this nonsense should stop!! Edited by Winchester

Not sure how anyone can predict us winning another game with the state this team is in on each side of the ball.

Browns were just as hurt as we are. Missing Haden and Gilbert got injured. I believe they said they were playing two undrafted rookies at one point at CB.

We don't have the skill set on offense to get into a shootout. On defense, we lack coverage men that will just get you burned. Like McCown and the nameless Browns were doing to us.

Unless we win the TO battle and stuff happens like it did Monday night (I.e. Punt returns and blocked kicked for td's) I just don't see us being too successful.

My predictions:

Dolphins: If a gun was held to my head, this is the game I see us winning. But it's on the road and they have some skill set guys that we won't be able to cover. That and we are always terrible on the road

Seattle: two good run d's but their D shuts us down

Steelers: They will turn it into a shootout and I don't think we can hang. This game could be the one that gets ugly

Chiefs: Could win depending on what Alex Smith shows up. Kelce will eat Will Hill, Mosley and D Smith for lunch.

Bengals: They will be playing for something. Top seed is still in play and Broncos are tied with them for the second seed. They won't want to miss having a bye and getting the third seed. Especially since the Steelers may grab the 6th seed and I'm sure neither of them wants to play their offense.

Then what would the ravens do in the playoffs??

Probably loose but not definitely.

I will never hope my team looses.

Absolutely agreed. If Tebow can win a playoff game anything is possible. 'That's why we play the game...'

GO Ravens! String it together.

If it gets them back to formidable championship status then yes. Anything less than championship is a failure in my opinion. That is why everybody plays.

I can respect your opinion. That said, if you've had the season we've had so far (Historic NFL Close-Game Scoring Record) with all the injuries, mishaps, etc. you've got to keep pushing a 'winning culture' by never conceding. That applies to the fanbase, coaches and every player that suits-up. You may not win a championship this year, but your 'championship' culture is cultivated (especially for the youth players). To me, anything less than a commitment to cultivating a 'championship' effort is a failure that is inexcusable to a proud franchise like our Ravens.

No team gets there every season and wins. That's what makes it so special. 'That's why we play the games..."

Failure?

Wow that is SUPER harsh.

And the second statement inaccurate as well.

Its a goal, no doubt, but its hardly THE reason people play.

The thought of Matt Schuab in the playoffs scares me

Agreed, but then there's Tebow....anything is possible and Schuab had 2 more probowls than the guy.

I think we lose out most likely. Just not enough healthy talent to beat these teams.

Agreed. It's going to be tough. I'm just going to keep the faith until we're mathematically eliminated. If that happens, my only hope is that we keep playing-on like every game is our Super Bowl for the remaining games/game.

Winning out - 80% we make it

We lose to Seattle and win the rest - 15% we make it

We lose to an AFC team and win the rest - <1% chance we make it

We lose 2, we don't make it.

Although according to the ESPN playoff machine, it's possible for us at make it at 6-10... For now lol

Other than make money the goal is a championship. Anything less is a failure. It means you lost and somebody else beat the ravens. And that should be totally unacceptable!! This team does not have the talent to win a championship at the moment. The goal is to correct it and compete for championships. Anything you have a passion for your goal should be to be the best. So players that can actually win a championship are needed before winning culture is established!! Pushing for a 7-9 record is not a winning culture anyways. That is pathetic!! Winning culture is established through setting up for success!! Preparation, attention to detail, intensity, striving for perfection, finding superior talent, players working to their athletic peak!! Every player needs a workout, flexibility and nutrition goal to reach their target optimal playing weight and correct body composition for the individual based on the position he plays.

Crockett Gilmore is an example of what coaching needs to have every player do!! He got far stronger while actually a little faster and more flexible. Urschel is another!! He sets goals to get stronger and more explosive and flexible through martial arts and conditioning programs. He is much stronger, more explosive and flexible than the player he was when drafted!! Ravens need to replace scrubs like Upshaw and acquire players with more raw skill that follow programs like Urschel and Gilmore!! Winning culture begins with individuals who can win their matchups and play hard. Losing out I do not believe breeds losing as long as talent is acquired and the team is prepared next season and plays hard. The Vikings, jags and raiders were losing teams that is adopting a winning culture before your very eyes. Because of acquiring talent!!

Ravens are a couple players away in my opinion from having the most formidable all around offense in the NFL!! But as always particular players are needed. Which is why you trade up in drafts!! It is not pick a player from the hat!! Laremy Tunsil is the most dominant player in the draft. He is the player that will complete the most formidable Oline in the NFL!! Then ravens draft a skilled receiver like Boyd,Dural,Doctson,Williams and sign or trade for a competent receiver. The Oline will dominate in a way the 2000 defense did and drain opposing teams confidence. All while controlling the trenches giving receivers time to work open and Joe throwing In a clean pocket, while mauling and striking fear in opposing teams!! My opinion he will be the best tackle in the league. If ravens do not get him it will suck having him play for another team over a couple meaningless wins. Just like knowing Watt belongs a Raven!!

It seems pretty obvious to me that we're going to win every game we should lose, and lose every game we should win.

Its the Ravens way.

:D

Technically, we should lose the rest of the remaining games.....

Dolphins are a mess and the Chiefs don't look good at all.  Seahawks rely on a strong run game which seems to be the one thing our defense is good at stopping.  I don't necessarily believe that we'll win any of these games, but I wouldn't say that they are clear losses either.

The Cheifs haven't lost in over a month. Five straight wins, and looking good doing it.
