[News] Who's Practicing, Who's Not vs. Jaguars

I love the  statement, "The Ravens had only 2 players missing because of injury". That's certainly good news. However, the amount of key players banged up so bad that they are on IR is the not so good news. Guess we need to look at the glass half full side of this crazy season.

Monroe has called out sick four out of eight games this year alone. Hurst showed early promise, but is probably not the guy. We need more competition at left tackle or its probably time to make a move. Our blind side is vulnerable!

I was going to make a remark about Perriman's continued absence even after the bye, but I'll wait till BR.com posts the inevitable article about him being put on IR. I mean come on- who are we kidding?

Time for Joe to open up a can on'em! The run game is fine but Joe got all these new bodies and he finally got his yards up last time out and he needs to keep his foot on the gas! All running does is give the opposing team a chance to stay in the game in both the Ravens Super Bowl appearances they slung that Rock and the last time Vegas turned off the power so it's time to play "LIGHTS OUT" football for the remainder of the season and beyond! Pumped fakes will kill secondaries and Joe will save this team on both sides of the ball! The Defense will feed off it and dominate plus put Asa back there in the nickel so he can disrupt some plays and if he gets a INT he can treat it like a return! LET'S GO!

seems like a game that can increase our secondaries confidence, hopefully pees can be aggressive.

How do you figure? Robinson and Hurns is one of the best wide receiver duos in the league right now.

I think he's saying they're injured, might not play.?.

Also, I'd put Perriman on IR. It's one of those times where you just have to make a judgement that it's not his year to play. I hope he's 100 percent next year, though. With the way things have gone for him as a pro, I'm a little concerned about his chances for next year and beyond. Sorry to say.

In my humble opinion, it's surely time to make a move. A team needs 8 quality linemen to finish a season because the nature of the position makes them so prone to injuries. Yanda KO Monroe and Zuttah can start on almost any NFL team if healthy. Wagner played great last year and I wouldn't mind him starting again next year. That's 5 guys. Urschel and Hurst show potential but that's about it. By next year, both will be quality backups. The drop off from our starters to our backups is not as bad as it was in previous years but there's stil a drop off. If we keep all our guys and draft an "unsexy" lineman with one of our first 3 picks then we'd have a solid line for next season. If we lose KO to free agency then we have a problem. Then we'd need to replace a pro bowler and bring in someone that would push hurst and urschel for minutes. Once again we need 8 guys. At the moment we have 5 and 2 developing.

How ironic. It was the New England Cheat-a-lots who played dishonest, maybe even against us as well, yet it was us who essentially lost a 1st round pick for 2015. Sigh. My issue with Perriman isn't that it takes so long to heal, but the fact that he might be another of our injury proned players.

the first part of your quote doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Yeah, we probably lost him for this season, but that doesn't mean we lost a pick unless he just decides to retire. He still has all of next season, and the next two seasons after that to play out his contract. I was against the pick from the start, but no wr in the first round of this past draft has started more than 3 games other than Cooper.

x100 plus Bortles is playing pretty good ball.

While bortles is turnover prone, he still carves up defenses. Granted they play from behind a lot, but hurns and robinson has been arguably the best wr duo in the league this year. We might be able to cause some turnovers, but we'll have our hands full trying to stop those two.

Read my comment, I said FOR 2015. Not for next years to come. My point was that Patriots should have been removed of their 1st round draft pick, but due to Perrimans unfortunate injury we are essentially out of our 1st selection this year.

Read before you blare.

Lately, I had been reading more about opponents player injuries moreso than ours hoping for advantages to win that third game.

stampede, yeah, the Chargers have been plagued more than us. The Patriots have woes on their offensive line and running back. I never, NEVER with injury on anyone, and I won't ever. With the Pats though, I will say I'm not the least sympathetic for that despicable team and organization, I hope opposing teams exploit them and knock them out of the playoffs in the second half, though I am sympathetic for the injured players who I wish good and healthy recovery for as individuals.

The one thing I hope for this weekend is that we get a couple turnovers on Defense, the Jacksonville offense has been a turnover machine. Hopefully the two weeks will allow the secondary to capitalize....

It's really a tough call about Perriman. We need to get him on the field to see if he is worth keeping around for next year, and yet we could also use the roster spot. I'm sure Harbs will make the right decision when he has to.

Its still irrelevant though. Yeah he isn't playing for the season, but we still have him for the future. Where as the Pats won't have a pick at all. And again, it's not like any other first round wr other than cooper is playing this year. No one is blarring (interesting word choice) I seemly said the argument doesn't make a lot of sense imo.

He's still in his rookie contract so I doubt they simply let him go next year, but I am interested to see if he's worth it. He's pretty raw in his route running, but hopefully he's been hitting film study hard because he has the size and speed.

Sit Perriman! All he is going to do this year is stop another guy from having a opportunity to get on the field who just might be a better player in the long run. Besides this is the NFL. One hit and Perriman slow healer could be out for months with "Soft Tissue"

He's sat 8 games already, who has he stopped so far from having an opportunity to get on the field??

I could see if you said that about Marlon Brown.  But Perriman hasn't prevented anyone from breaking out.

Say what you want about Marlon Brown but he still has more touchdowns in one year than any other Ravens has in the last two years. So maybe its not the players fault? Perriman still holds a spot on this years roster so we can't tell who is being left out.
