[News] Asa Jackson Excelling In Newly Found Niche

27 posts in this topic

I always felt like he deserved another chance. Sounds crazy. But, for some ridiculous reason, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why, I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Asa Jackson. I love the underdog. I love the kid.

Try him as a receiver:)

Omg I said that to my brother last sunday!!! its true too! he's totally elusive and honestly he does nothing but make plays either negative or positive. If there's one young player I could say flings his body out there and just leaves it all on the field it'll have to be Asa. This guy would be beast on screen plays. But hey what do I know I'm watching from my couch.

This could turn out to be an incredible come back player of the year story. I say give him another shot at CB now, as his confidence is at an all time high. And our other CB's have been playing at a consistent all time low. :)

Always give the job to a guy who really wants the job wholeheartedly; it is Asa Jackson. The man is grown up mentally with experience on and off the field; he knows how hard it is to make a NFL career. This is prolly his last opportunity cuz look at the Giants did to him: dropped him before wearing his uniform.....

Try him as a receiver:)

I'd rather see him playing corner in the slot - can't do much worse than Kyle Arrington

Looks like Ed Reed, plays like Donna Reed

Give him another shot at returning. I would say hold off on letting him play corner. I mean we have been absolutely horrible against the pass, and have pulled guys from the street before giving Asa a shot. He may not be any worse, but he definitely won't be any better. I will say the kid is a play maker. If he keeps grinding, he can get another shot at corner eventually.

I said Asa " Ace Boogie " Jackson can ball and got RED up! He just needs to be on the field more secondary, and maybe I said maybe wideout! He has open field speed with his return ability and can prolly do some damage!

Oh yeah before Asa got injured the play he went down on he defended very well its just the way he came down after STOPPING the play! Look it up for the Haters!

Asa was always pretty good at ST... I never understood why the Ravens cut him... maybe because it didn't woork out as a returner. Anyway I'm glad we have him back.

Great for him, I really like to root for this guy! I hope he gets more opportunities and chances and reaches those levels of expectations in a positive way! Keep grinding Asa!

Lotta good, positive comments here. As soon as he fumbles a game away, or gets burned on a game winning TD, watch out for all the vitriol.

I would say Asa is even now. The two block punts make up for fumbling the kick off and getting tackled by the kicker.

Yeah, he perfectly timed his offsides you mean. I'm glad they got the play, teams get away with stuff against us all the time. But Asa was quite clearly offsides on that play.

As long as a player does well, we are effusive in our praise of him. But, don't ever do badly because he will instantly incur the collective wrath of the Ravens fandom! Like most fan bases we are infinitely fickle!

I am praising his effort while at the same time admitting that he was offsides for about 1 second and didn't get called.

He better find more than just blocking punts to do on this team. The way this sorry defense plays opponents don't do much punting.
