[News] Ravens Add RB Terrance West To Practice Squad

55 posts in this topic

Well we don't have to worry about him playing like a raven because he grew up a ravens fan, and he wanted to play for the Ravens. Not sure why the Browns and Titans were so quick to get rid of him, but I thank them for it b/c I will enjoy him being on the team. Go West! Go Ravens!

Hopefully he gets it together because talent wise he's the best RB on our roster including Forsett. He just needs to get right mentally hopefully coming back home will help him.

I was wondering if they might grab him up if he cleared waivers. Cleveland rumors were he didn't play hard after not getting the exclusive job and sharing it with Crowell. I think that will change since he will be with his home town team. Good luck TW, be humble, play hard and don't get down. If you show those skills like in the early weeks last year in Cleveland on a regular basis, I bet you will be up with the main team in short order.

Compare his signing to the reports that Dri Archer didn't sign with anyone after 10 offers to join practice squads (INCLUDING Pittsburgh!!! What the heck is wrong with that kid? Maybe why Pitt cut him...).

Sometimes young man just as you said, God has to break you down to build back up into what He wants you to be, so He gets glory out of your life. To God Be The Glory for the great things He has done. It's probably so good to be back home and grateful to have another chance.

Amen. Really good post.

This is his last shot. It has to be something going on with him if he's on his third team in just 2 years. Sorry to say it but if he can't get it done here his pro career could be a wrap. He has to surround himself with good people, work his butt off and stay focus especially playing in front of your hometown.

Just because he was cut or released from 2 teams in 2 seasons does not mean he%u2019s washed up. He has every opportunity in his young career to have a resurgence. Maybe Baltimore gives him that opportunity because in his heart he feels he belongs here and the heart can make people do incredible things!

Get this guy up quick! He has the nose for the goal line and as said here, is 'A Touchdown Machine!' Since we like to run so much near the goal line, we need this player in the game!

We aren't as good at passing for short TD's as most QB's / Teams are. I wish we'd pass for more TD's, but hey, with this guy, it's all good!

Not gonna lie, this put a smile on my face. I think we were going to draft him in the 3rd and the Browns snaked us for us him. Worked out well I must say, we got Gillmore who's looking outstanding and we end up with West anyway. The Browns and Titans are two of the worst franchise's you could end up going to. Look at Legarrette Blount, he bounced around teams and many wrote him off as a lost cause with attitude issues. Pats signed him, gave him stability, gave him guidance, turned out to be a really solid played to have.

I hope West can do something similar, turn his career around here.

Fantastic pickup. I hoped that the Ravens would get him in the draft. A low risk move if he doesnt work out we didnt give up anything. Go Ravens!

Get West on the field. We need him in the red zone. He didn't want to play for neither Cleveland nor Tenn. Who would? He came home and will play better then ever.

I also wanted him. Now, if we can only get Stephon Diggs, who I wanted us to draft.  :34853_brickwall:

What a pick up! Maybe won't contribute this season, but I believe he has good years ahead of us. Could definitely become a great backup RB. And again on demonstration was the brilliance of Oz - got the guy who he wanted, but without wasting any draft picks. Project player, so he wouldn't have been plug-in starter anyway, perfect time to snag him. I applaud you, Oz!

This was the RB we really wanted but got leapfrogged by Cleveland. But if his issues in Cleveland are really about sharing playing time and a prima Donna attitude, I have to wonder how he will respond to working his way up from the PS only to compete for a backup spot on our suddenly crowded RB roster. If you count the guys on IR he might be competing for the number three spot next year. But who knows, maybe the right coaching and playing behind the right veterans and being back in his home town can get him back on track.
