[News] Five Things To Watch In Season's Second Half

15 posts in this topic

Maybe the problem with the passing attack is someone is designated as #1.

Instead of trying to get #1 more targets lets get the ball to MANY targets and more importantly whoever is open. SSS was a blessing to have but maybe we relied on him too much and let a lot of opportunities slip by. Time to spread it around to the other WRs, TEs and RBs.

I'm with Sami, I just can't believe Triple " S " was the only WR open all the time and the replays show Marlon open on several plays and Givens! I really feel Joe needs to study more on the sidelines and have WR only huddles no one on the team would mind that type of bonding! Joe Flacco is the LeBron James of the Ravens and they will follow him! LETS GO! Oh yeah watch how the Ravens move up in the playoff picture! Yes I'm a nut I'm a Buckeye!

I think we're going to be forced to pass, so we might as well get right after it. Also, the heck with 3rd down and short or 3rd and long, if we could get 1st downs on 1st down or 2nd down and not even have a 3rd down, that would be a big help. I know, it sounds corny, but if you watch N.E., Cincy., or Denver, they go for more yardage on each play in an effort to get 1st downs as often as possible. I think we're in the mindset that if we run for 3 yards and then pass (SHORT) for 4 more, that a 3rd and 3 is great. I disagree, we need to throw the ball downfield more often, just like we do when we're behind (S.D. game) and need a quick score. It works and teams won't be expecting it right out of the gate!

#6 A better pass rush would be nice. This would help the secondary. Maybe Urban is the guy.

Is it just me that was surprised we were tied for 6th in the league for sacks? Crazy to think where we would be if Suggs didn't get hurt

I don't get it where did the rumor start that we are 6th in sacks. No, we are not! We are tied for the 9th and 10th spot with the Chiefs. The stats are here: http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&role=OPP&offensiveStatisticCategory=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=SACKS&season=2015&seasonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=false&Submit=Go

The mere fact that there are 5 NUMBERED SPOTS ahead of us on the NFL.com table don't make us the 6th in the rankings. You still have to count the TEAMS ahead of you, not the RANKINGS ahead of you.

This is the typical useless hype propaganda too often seen on this site and these forums for my liking. Please, let's stick to the facts!

Can we get rid of the 8-0 nonsense already? You don't go 8-0 by claiming it but by aproaching every week like it's your last. Every game like it's your last. And every play like your life depended on it.

Trestman:- it's mid season. This team needs to show signs of consistency. People around here have been praising this offense because we are in the top 10 in total yards. Well that wasn't fair because we played one more game than most teams and now show me the stars. Half our yards came in the last 10 min of games when opponents are just playing prevent. This offense has not played like a top 10 offense for the majority of the season. Now it's on you mark to prove to us that this team grasps your system and indeed we can play efficient football.

On D, well the writing is on the wall for pees. I can smell his rotten behind from that box he's always in. It's not a matter of will he be a member of the Ravens next year. It's a matter of will he even be on an NFL team? This nonsense has to stop. We still have enough playmakers to dominate games on D. Look at the schedule and ask yourself how many more teams will score 30 on us?

A strong finish to this season starts today! Il take a 6-2 finish as it could throw us into the playoffs somehow. None of this matters if we can't focus and win our next game. The Jaguars are pathetic. So are we if we don't make them look pathetic.

Ravens all the way!

One game at a time. Every player has to play like their life depends on it. Making plays, avoiding penalties, keeping focused, and digging deep - from the opening kickoff to when the game time expires! We need to throw that first half of this season in the trash and play Ravens football from here on out!

6th in the league in sacks and we still cannot cover a pop warner WR... why???? Pees !

I didn't know Dean Pees was a player in our secondary? We have 2nd and 3rd tier players in our secondary that is why we can't cover.

A return to an aggressive, bone jarring, ball hawking 'D' is necessary to save face. Turnover margin will dictate their fate as the second half of the season evolves.
