[News] Late For Work 11/9: The Little Things Make Joe Flacco So Dang Likable

I know it's not realistic, but it is cool we are still able to look at the wild card race and know that we have not been statistically eliminated yet.

Jacksonville always gives us grief, Blake Bortles is starting to look like a real NFL QB. My prediction is he'll throw 3 TDs against us but our secondary will finally get that INT we've been pining for.

I hope nobody thinks that the Ravens would even consider tanking games just for a better draft pick. Unlike some teams in the NFL, this organization would never do that...never.

I swear the Steelers are more lucky than good most of the time. Charles Woodson who is playing phenomenal for a man his age would have sealed the game if he would have held onto the late game interception.

Statistically, I have a chance of marrying Miss Universe but ummm that's not gonna happen.

I'm with you though, if we find a way to get in, we'll all take it.

BTW, if they get in, I'll be the 1st to say I was wrong.  After falling to 1-4, I said there's no way we would see the post-season.  Unfortunately, I still feel that way.

If anyone is paying attention they shouldn't think this way.  The players and coaches are all in to run the table to finish the season. There's no one on staff thinking about tanking for a higher draft pick.

"Week 9 Outcomes Didn't Help Much"

Oh, some of them definitely did - for a better draft position.

Aren't these "(insert number) Ravens players who need to step up" and prediction of some players suddenly starting shining kinda getting seriously old? We all know who the players who don't play well enough are, and we also know that players seldom start to shine out of the blue, just like that. What I would really like to see is explanations - why a certain analyst thinks this or that player will suddenly start playing much better than he's lately been.

Not much in this department yet... Just blank predictions.

Marlon Brown is getting beat up and I can see why as he has been dropping everything coming his way. But last year was a little unfair as his opportunities dried up as no fault of his own. Two years ago he shined, he was opposite Torrey Smith and showed he had hands or he wouldn't have caught that last second catch and toe tap at the back of the endzone against the Vikings in the snow. Last year with Torrey Smith and Steve Smith he got shoved to the back of the line, didn't get the reps in practice or in games for the whole season. Now we break him out after Torrey goes and he is rusty. He didn't get the reps in his sophomore year when we know that it is a critical time for all players. The rustier he is the rustier he gets because if he misses catches he loses reps and that doesn't help him break the funk. We know he has the hands we have seen them, it is clearly a psychological thing because he didnt see action last year. I have not given up on him, actually, I believe if he sees more playing time, he will improve. Many commenters may not agree, but that is my opinion.

You know... The way things are shaping up in the AFC... (if we could put a couple of wins together) we may not be that far out of the wild card chase. The Sqeelers are in the drivers seat now @ 5-4 but with Ben set to miss significant time again their record could plummet and we could add to that in a head to head match up. The Jets are next @ 5-3... Then the Bills at 4-4 (but with the Patriots in that division and both of them needing to play each other (and Miami) they will eliminate one of them. Next would be the Raiders... while young and talented at 4-4... they are still inconsistent at best... If we could run off 3 or 4 wins in a row... we could be in the mix... and our schedule is conducive. I know that is still a stretch with Dean Pees but the parity in the NFL is so strong this year... YOU NEVER KNOW????? IT could be a much more fun 2nd half then first half of the season!

If we beat the Jags... the Sqeelers will be two games up on us (we still play them and they will be without ben again for a period of time). THe Jets are two games up on us ad they have the Pats, Bills and Miami still to contend with... The Bills and Raiders the same..... and we are contending for 1 of 2 wild card spots.

My most endearing Flacco moment ( well one of them anyway) is when we won the Super Bowl, he was the MVP and said "I get a car?"

I know there's nothing we can do about it now, but if we came out of the bye w/ a 4-4 record I would REALLY like our playoff chances.

Hmm%u2026 what does it matter now? The Ravens have no choice in resigning Joe regardless of record or play. He is the best QB option we have now and for the foreseeable future. More than that he is capable of getting hot for a reasonable amount of time and get us to the promised land at any given time. How many other QBs can do that?

Let's go back to the beginning. I'm so disappointed. The team has changed my life has changed. I didn't see any games. I would really like to see them. Maybe they would win more this time. I know this is stupid, just sayin.

Need more of that "RELENTLESS " play out of Joe Flacco! Red me up but Marlon isn't being used correctly are post patterns stop and go's not in the Ravens Repertoire because his size calls for plays 20 yards down the field and just can't stop and bring him off the field gotta keep him out there and Joe needs to communicate with him more never see Marlon and Joe talking period! The squeelers didn't stop going to M. Bryant after he dropped a wide open pass they went rite back to him so why can't Marlon get that type of treatment in Bmore instead of one and dun! Smh he goes up top Givens is a slasher Kamar can't get some grabs and all the new guys Joe gotta get his yards up for the Ravens to have any shot at all and the run game is a bonus and nothing more! Both Super Bowls the Ravens played they lit it up in the air not on the ground and Joe did it so well they turned off the power so let Joe KEEP SLINGING THAT ROCK!

I can't believe anyone thumbed you down for this.  I agree 100%.  If there is anyone out there that really thinks, I mean really thinks the Ravens are going to the playoffs, then please get yourself down to the Horseshoe and bet $1000 on it.  You will clean up if they do!

There is a difference between hoping they do (I do) and believing they will (I don't).

It's much better for us that the Raiders lost. Otherwise, they'd be 5-3, with a head to head tiebreaker against us. The Steelers winning didn't help, but they already have four losses, they'll have to play at least one more game without Ben, and we play them at home.

Some of you need to get your facts checked. Marlon Brown has two drop passes and is 34 in the NFL. http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/drops/2015/ and tied 19th with 26 of the other receivers in the AFC. Stop the hate cause you don't know what your talking about. http://scores.nbcsports.msnbc.com/fb/leaders.asp?range=AFC&type=Receiving&rank=232&year=

Since no one has a crystal ball we'll need to wait and see. Maybe revisit this conversation about post season in about 3 weeks. I do believe we will make every effort to get there. Go Ravens!

And you happen to know this how?

Very true. We could also play in the Super Bowl. And win it.
