[News] Ravens Midseason Awards

17 posts in this topic

YES, wake up ! ANY awards to be given should be given to any of the 12th men brigade- whether at the game, couch, recliner or bar stool. Having to endure through the pain and emotions of a run-away- freight train season......Hats off to us !

I understand the fans frustration and agree that giving out "awards" when your team is 2-6 is kind of ridiculous. It is kind of like seeing these juvenile displays when someone makes a play. This used to be called "showboating or hot dogging", and wasn't tolerated. Now every play we see this crap. even when in the process of losing the game. We should, however, recognize the individual efforts of those like Steve Smith and Brandon Williams. On an underachieving team, they have had good seasons.

Who wins the MDP (Most Disappointing Player)? That's where the competition really is. It's easy to choose Perriman, but he has an excuse since he's injured. I'd say it's a tight race between Jimmie Smith, Kyle Arrington, and Kendrick Lewis. I'll give it to Lewis. Can't remember a single play he's made all year.

His Achilles was not torn when he made these great plays... just sayin'.

Yeah I know I was just kidding around. But he really was our only spark on the offensive side of the ball.

I think we get a guy like Givens or Boyle or Gillmore or one of those guys stepping it up...
