Bengals have built themselves a good team. Good offensive draft picks (Hill, Bernard, Eifert, Green) are their draft picks. Need to take some notes on those Ozzie!

Darian Stewart is a bum, I understand he made plays at the right time for us last year. But most of the time he was lost and he couldn't tackle and cover. That's what made the Denver loss sting because he can finally cover smh

How many Lombardi Trophies do the Bengals have ? Ozzie is the Master and his Cinci counterpart is the grasshopper. Don't forget that.  :D

Another thing we miss from Torrey is his ability to draw flags against defenders. He was #1 in the league last year at drawing PI penalties, and this year we have only had 1 PI flag thrown against a defense we are playing against.

Still wish he would have bowled Tomlin over. And here I thought I was over that.  :D

The Bengals were horrible for years and they routinely pick before the Ravens and sometimes very high in the draft.  If Ozzie were picking where Cincy picked for the last decade we would be a powerhouse as well.  Eventhough Cincy won the division last year, because we went further in the playoffs, they still picked ahead of us.  I know it is easy to blame Ozzie because of the draft, and I have been guilty from time to time, but in reality, its the old making chicken salad from chicken stuff adage and Ozzie has done better than most with where he is picking in the draft.  When we had a crappy 8-8 record in 2013 we got pro bowler CJ Mosely and I think we picked 15th or 16th, what do you think Ozzie will do with the 4th and 36th picks if we keep playing like this, he will knock it out of the park.  You got to pay to play and to pick high and nail a sure superstar, you have to lose to win.  And don't feed me the what about Stefan Diggs or these other guys who went late in the draft, they went in the 4th or 5th rounds because NO GM thought they were worth a higher pick.  Terrell Davis was a late round guy and every now and then late round guys succeed. Cant blame Ozzie when every team missed.

How long will Jacoby last in Pittsburg? Looking back...Had Jones made contact with Tomlin on the trip up run back the Ravens should have been given the TD by rule (if the Refs know the rules). I've seen some terrible game changing calls this season.

Why is it the Ravens cannot seem to draft players like other teams do? Didn't used to say that. At one time Ravens front office picks were the envy of other teams. What changed? And how did it get this way? Questions need to be answered. This team has been steady been going backwards since 2012. Does the front office need new blood? If so who is the target to change? Lots of questions with 2-6 start. No answers anywhere. What other team would rely on just one wr who was in the twilight of his career? Who made that decision? Salary cap? No. Paid Pitta after his demise began. Made deals that made no sense. No one wants to see this team succeed more than me. But change is needed to get there.

Maybe he wasn't a bum. Maybe it was the guy who sits in his booth calling plays for the Ravens is a bum. I don't know..

I am saying how can a guy like Darian Stewart who played so bad for us become a top defensive back in 1 year? It's definitely coaching and wade phillips improved him. That's the only answer I can think of.

I can't agree with this.  The Ravens have made mistakes lately in their polayers evals.  They've missed on more lately for key positions than have hit.  Mosely is a clear hit.  Elam is a bust.  Jimmy Smith is heading toward that overreach category and Perriman is a no show.  I had high hopes for all these guys and they haven't produced (with the exception of CJ).

Before the SB, even with a disasterous 2010 draft, they managed to find gems late.  They have missed quite a bit since and made very little splashes in free agency since the too.  This team was heading for this inevitable "lost season" since they went conservative with their draft picking.  I assume this comes from the fear fo the cap due to Joe's bllooning 2016 salary, but they missed so often during the period of time they supposedly bought for themselves that there's no longer any buffer.  Even with a Flacco contract restructure, they are now forced to surround Joe with less expensive talent in order to field 53 men under the cap.  The Ravens scouting and player development has fallen flat.  Hopefully this realization sparks something of what they had back before the 2012 SB.

I still love you Jacoby... I'm sorry we turned our back on you.

They can have him.  I still taste bile in my mouth everytime I read JJ is a Steeler, but he after 2012 he's been a liability.  Time to take the Steelers down from the inside.  JJ's suspect hands will be like having a 12th man for us against them.

You forget, sometimes the student surpasses the master.  After years of teetter-tottering back and forth, the Bengals have the upper hand.

I Understand why Jacoby signed with the Steelers. Doesn't mean I like it. Sorry Ravens but I think you missed on this one. Jacoby has better players around him with the Steelers then with the Chargers and he may make some noise.

I don't believe this. My father takes my computer away and I come back to this. I hope they can turn this around. I see they have lost Terrell Suggs and Steve smith. It's going to be hard to do but I think coach Harbaugh will find a way to make this team a winner again.

I would say so, they've beat us 5 straight.

"Alas, Jones is now working for the enemy.  He will once again revisit M&T Bank Stadium on Dec. 27 when the Steelers come to town. And, yuck, he’ll be wearing this black and gold piece of cloth."

... provided he'll still be with them. Sorry, but no matter how we lover Jacoby - he doesn't seem to be the returner he once was. And if thsat stays true, there's no guarantee he'll still be with the steelers when they come to Baltimore ;)

Jacoby went where he's wanted and needed. You can't be mad at that.

Especially since it wasn't his choice or decision. He was claimed.

Your right bio, Jacoby was in need  of a job and he is no fool he is going to take the best job offered to him.

He didn't have much of a choice, did he? He was claimed off waivers.

The strength of the present teams have little to nothing to do with past success - The Bucs once had a Super Bowl winning team. The Titans once had a perennial playoff-team with a Super Bowl appearance. The Bills once made the super bowl 4 times in a row. And all of these teams still suck at the moment :D

That said, I guess most Bengals-fans would happily swap these 4 playoff-appearances in a row and their present clear leading role of the division with one Super Bowl win - let alone two :)

That's the current position, no doubt about that. But it doesn't really say anything about the past and the future. The NFL is built in a way so long streaks of success are notoriously hard to obtain. There were times when both the Bengales and the Ravens sucked. Then there were times when the Ravens sucked and the Bengales went to the Super bowl. There were times when the Ravens were on the top and the Bengals sucked big time. there were times when both the Bengals and the Ravens were good. Now the Ravens suck and the Bengals are clearly much better (the roster and team, not the organization!). Who knows what the future hoilds - maybe this will stay like that for a long time, maybe we'll rise soon and the Bengals get back to sucking again...

Or a better answer is because of the pressure of two of the best pass rushers in the league - Von Miller & DeMarcus Ware coupled with two of the best CB in the league - Harris & Talib. Heck, Ryan Mink could look good playing safety on that defense.
