Nice move by SSS and his wife to take the time and effort to bring boxes of food for the food drive when SSS is dealing with a major injury and leaving town for surgery. Well done SSS. Good luck with the surgery.

I am extremely confident that Steve Smith will return. He's going to use his time off now as a semi-retirement to spend with his wife and kids and he'll come back strong next year. Let's help send him off with a ring!

It must be me,maybe I do not understand the draft system. I guess the Colts won the super bowl last year since they have luck. How con the Pats be leading the AFC ? Wasn't Brady a 7th round pick or something like that. I know you all balm Ozzie but didn't our first round pick from two years ago fall down steps and never play football again.  This year first round pick(aIso Ozzie's fault know because I read it here) has never played in a game since we signed him. Yeah I sure hope we lose games so we can get a draft pick.

The first few draft picks are usually for teams that need a QB, anyways. There's plenty of teams that think that way, still. If we're in the top 8 or so, I'd be confident that our team or draft experts will find the WR or the Cornerback or Saftey that we need. Either way, I think we'll get a good pick or two in the first few rounds. Hopefully those higher picks will be playing come next September, unlike this year's 1st round pick. Get well Perriman (I don't think he'll play at all this year).

I really want to see us win out. I think we have a slim chance to beat the Bengals. For whatever reason that team has given us the most fits, we just seem to have problems beating them, don't know why. It is the game I MOST want to win the rest of the way, though! I'm sick of our losing streak to that franchise. But I'm not confident we'll pull it off, honestly.

I also really want us to beat the Seahawks, we haven't beaten them in the Harbaugh/Flacco era yet, either (the only other team we haven't beaten in this era is the Packers... so I'm really hoping we can finally score some wins against these two teams the next time we face them!)

This article is saying that we should win a lot of games because some of the teams we're playing are teams with losing records. Well, guess what?? We have a losing record and a bad one at that. Also we have a bunch of home games coming up. I honestly believe that is a plus, but we've also lost a few home games this year, anyway. I'm just not sold on us going 4 - 4 the rest of the way, never mind 8 - 0. We're so depleted with WR's and Defensive Backs that it really is not likely, just a pipe dream, basically. But, it makes for good news on a slow day, I suppose.

We'll get a top 10 pick, so that will be in our favor.

"Ravens Not Joking About Going 8-0. Can They Really Do It?"

please... let's try to say at least a tiny bit realistic here...

John Harbaugh has called Joe Flacco the best QB in the league. They're not realistic at all.

This 8-0 talk rings hollow given how poorly we've performed in the first 8 games. This false sense of bravado is a little disconcerting to say the least. Just work each game like it is the last game of the season and we'll see where the chips fall when everything is said and done.

Seahawks will be tough, but that is a home game. Steelers will also be tough, but again home game. The rest is win-able. The Bengals may nothing to play for in the last game and rest their starters (besides, I'm tired of losing to that team). 8-0 is possible. BEAT. THE. ODDS!

"The rest is winnable" The Ravens had winnable games vs the Raiders, Browns and 49ers. Games they should have won. This team won't be winning the winnable games you're speaking of. I wish they were, but it's not happening. SSS gone, a defence that shows up when they feel like it. No way, but I hope you're right.

No one gave us a chance to beat the Broncos in Denver then the Patriots in Foxboro then go on to win the Super Bowl either. If it can be done, we are just the guys to do it.

You realize that was an almost completely different team, right? It's like saying "when I was 20, I could jump over that fence - so, now, when I"'m 60, why couldn't I do it again?"

The team is getting thinner and thinner, key players get out week by week replaced by worse players - yet some people think we can get better... Yeah, hope springs eternal... but when every Sunday is a harsh reality check...

Unfortunately we will probably win enough games to harm our draft position but not to be in contention for a play-off spot.

Yeah, that's my fear, too... Picking at #5-8 is WAY more beneficial than picking at around #15-20... Our roster desperately needs some fresh blood, some immediate impact players - ones you can VERY easily find in the top 10, and much less at around #20...

Besides the Cincy game the rest of the games are quite winnable. The Seahawks and Steelers will be a challenge but we have the advantage at home. We only got 3 road games on our schedule the rest of the year the Browns, Dolphins, and Bengals not that bad. We have 3 straight homes games starting off with the Chargers so it's a huge advantage. So we got a good shot here to surprise people by make it in the playoffs by starting at 1 and 6. This is possible folks to have a-little run here.

if cinci keeps playing the way they're playing by the time we get to week 17 their spot may already be locked up so they may have nothing to play for and rest their starters. Not that I think we can't beat them anyway.

if the redsox can be two outs away from being swept by the yankees only to strike magic and and becoming world champions; then yes, the ravens can do come do it, too. praying doesn't hurt either.

Can the Ravens go 8-0 from here on out? Well, they COULD HAVE had a winning record at this point, but they don't. Losing to the Browns (at home, no less) and 49ers is ridiculously bad, even if they're close losses. So NO- I'm saying at this point, they cannot go 8-0. They have no fiery, intense, vocal leaders on offense or defense. Plus, the pass defense is EVEN WORSE than it was last year- again, ridiculously bad.

Steve is going to like staying home with his family. It will be hard to break that feeling and come back to these bunch of losers.

Why do you bother to root for a bunch of losers? Go be a Pats fan, please and just give it a rest.

But they were already in the world series. That's more like being down by two touchdowns first quarter of the superbowl and coming back. The ravens are nowhere near playoff contention, winning two games in a row would be a more realistic goal right now

Considering we're tied for last in the NFL in takeaways, no, we won't be going 8-0. At this point, just beating the Steelers again would be a success.

8-0 is laughable. I really hope we don't go like 5-3, earning a losing record and a low draft pick. That would be the worst of both worlds.
