Not going to happen. We parted ways with him and for good reason. Nothing has changed with their reasoning and he has another unproductive year under his belt. His roster spot would keep a younger, more sure handed guy off the roster and that's not the direction we need to go. I love Jacoby! I even suffered through DWTS with the wife just because he was on it but that won't win us football games.

Jacoby kind of went the same route as Ed Reed and I think it's working out the same for him. Don't be sad though, he made a ton of money, he's good! :-)

I don't believe for one minute that they are even considering bringing him back. Harbs is just being diplomatic and polite. Seems like there's a de facto policy against "going backwards". And I don't think they should bring him back. Look, he was a hero for us in 2012. Team and fans rewarded him with much love and loyalty. He was absolutely given the benefit of the doubt in 2013 and 2014 when his play was one heartbreak after another. We put on our purple-colored glasses and stayed patient. But when his special teams big play ability went missing...well, the party was over.

Let these new guys work. Let's give Joe the opportunity to show he can make no-name receivers into household names. One thing's for sure: Tom Brady didn't come out of a box like he is now. Someone gave him an opportunity...with some no-name guys. Now...when the offense succeeds, Joe will get the (further) respect he deserves.

Right, wouldn't make sense to drop somebody who we actually want to see play and find out if they're any good.

 

Maybe a Marlon Brown would be droppable, but I certainly wouldn't play Jacoby over a young guy we are evaluating.

Jeremy Butler, the guy who was "Catching Everything" in Training Camp can't get a sniff. Translated, just about everybody who is going out for an NFL team looks good in a jersey and shorts and can "Catch Everything". Bottom line. CAN'T PLAY. Regarding Jacoby, Thank you for what you did for us.

I don't think Harbaugh is just being polite and pretending to consider Jacoby. Harbaugh to me is not that kind of person. If he says he's considering Jacoby, then they are(we're) considering the possibility, plain and simple.

I don't know what our FO is going to do. If you ask me if I would bring him. Yes he was on the decline in the return game, but I still believe the guy has big play abilities. I would give him a chance because of the fact he knows Joe. He know Joe's arm strength down field. If we signed Jacoby Jones, he would have a lot more targets come his way. I think we he would be a huge asset fro the rest of the season. I don't know much about theses guys they just signed, but I know he has got to be better than Marlon Brown. Whatever they decide I hope its the best decision for the team.

Not sure, but one thing I'm very sure about is that we hardly ever (maybe never) resign players that have left.

Again, I wish Jacoby the best, but not against us or in anyway that may negatively affect the possibility of us making a playoff run or generally...what the hell, I can't wish him the best until we are completely mathematically eliminated for the season along with the Steelers.

I hope they are at least flexible to bring back former players, obviously too late for Jacoby, but in general never say never cause sometimes it's not a good move to reunite...and ...sometimes it is.
