[News] Never Any Dissention In Ravens Locker Room

22 posts in this topic

This season is going to build young players character and solidify older players character. It has not been beautiful or nice but the guys should grow from this season going forward for sure.

I sensed this was the case with this team. You just feel 'something special' about them, or I did anyway. Nice to hear to what extent it is happening, which is significant. Keep up the good work Ravens on all levels of play, including being a team that sticks together! Yup, lots of NFL teams out there have meltdowns...not us tho... that's awesome to hear!

I love the Ravens, and I think most of us can agree this season is now just about getting young players out there to see what they can do. We need to stop winning and I know that it is great to see your team win, but I was sad Sunday when I was not able to watch the game and found out that the Ravens won. I just look at this roster and our pro bowl caliber players are the ones that are 30 years old. That proves that the last couple drafts we have been terrible and that is because we were one of the best teams for so many years and it is catching up to us. The Ravens need to draft high, I still believe they have talent on the roster, but players like Steve Smith, Daryl Smith, Elvis Dumervil, Terrell Suggs, Justin Forsett, and Marshall Yanda are how old? They all have probably only 2 years at most left in them after this season and Steve Smith will only play for one more if at all. Yanda is an exception because of the position he plays he can play a little longer at a high level. But everyone else is young, inexperienced guys who haven't proven anything yet. CJ Mosley was great last year but has been up and down this year. Jimmy Smith is also having a bad year. When will the Ravens front office see that we need to draft for the future we cannot be trading for rentals who will not contribute. The Ravens need talented youth to learn under those guys until they are gone because no one can play forever. If we do not nail these next three drafts the Ravens will be in the bottom of the AFC North cellar for a very very long time.

Love the end game speech and how the Ravens have stayed together in the midst of a turbulent season so far. Damn it!  This 2-6 team makes me proud to be a Ravens fan!  :DB)

We are the Ravens and we do not give in. We Dont Tank! We fight with every ounce in our body. That's what we do. I can't see us losing and not playing our best football. If you don't want to feed into winning spirit, theirs no place for the players OR fans! I believe we can win out. That's all it takes is for each player and fan to believe it can happen. Speak it into existence. Magic does happen in the NFL. Just look at our SB win! Lets get pumped and get ready for some Ravens football after this bye because I'm expecting fire to torch the rest of the games we'll play in. Don't give in! It's raining now but the sun is still shinning behind those clouds. So lets whether this storm, kick through the clouds and receive what the sun has to offer and that's victory. Lets Go Ravens fans! Ravens on 3....1..2..3...RAVENS!

Still a ton of football left to be played. Right now the Jets are the 2nd wild card team at 4-3. That's only 2 games. You're talking about 5 games at home (against shaky talent - cept Seahawks), 2 on the road against Cleveland & Miami and a final game against the Bengals in which they rest their starters. Jets, Raiders & Squealers (wild card teams) all have a much harder schedule.

Any. Given. Sunday.

This 8-0 talk that is being circulated rather flippantly makes me nervous. For starters let's not forget there is a reason we are 2-6 in the first place. To sit here and keep throwing out the mathematically feasible 8-0 run seems very irresponsible to me.

Not just to the hopes and aspirations of every day fans, but to the players and coaches as well. Does this mean I don't wish that we go 8-0? Of course I do like every Ravens fan does. But is it realistic and reasonable to bestow such expectations on the team? That is where I think it is wrong.

Let's not forget the teams that beat us and not great teams either - Browns at home, Raiders away and SF too! So, it isn't like we have beaten all the sub 0.500 teams either. So, why such flippancy? Let the chips fall where they may and let us all take a deep breath and chant the mantra - "Win the next game that is coming up"!

When you hear about the amount of dissention within losing teams, and even some winning teams, I feel as fans we should be very lucky to have the Ravens and their organization as our team...... I know there is something very special here, and I hope it always stays this way. From the owner we have in Steve, all the way down to the workers behind the scenes, this is probably one of the best run organization in the NFL, if not thee best. :)

If the Raven's can pull off the rest of the season, if our receivers will not be denied, if the secondary can look like it knows what it is doing (and intercept a few), if we have true leadership on this team, if we see signs that our recent draft classes are coming into their own, then WOW; we have made the transition to the post Ray and Ed Ravens!

Remember the Billick era ban on the word "playoffs?"

Great there's no locker room division. Let's just win the next game and not concern ourselves with going 8-0. Hey, I think I need a bye from Ravens football too!

Hey fans, it would be great if we as Ravens fans would be so positive. Do we cave in with adversity, or do we still believe in our team? Tired of hearing the "lose so we get a better pick". Just not in this fans DNA. ON 3 RAVENS!

This season is over. That being said, I'm glad to see that the locker room is still strong. A lot of teams start to have a lot of friction in the locker room *cough49erscough* when things get rough. Win or lose these guys are committed and there for each other.

As great as 8-0 (10-6) would be, 7-1 (9-7) should get us there too as long as we beat the Steelers and the Raiders slip up a little. I think the Jets take one Wild Card, and we still have a shot at the second.

Jags, Browns, Dolphins, Rams, and Chiefs. We should win those, again, should. Steelers game is a must win. Seahawks suck on the road, and I think if we were to lose a game, it better be this one since it wouldn't affect our conference record. Seahawks suck on the road so... We'll see. Bengals game is interesting. It'd help if they had their backups in if they rest players, but this game is very important too.

I agree! "Under Promise and Over Deliver", is the best policy!

Yeah, because we've never heard anything about dissention in any of those locker rooms..........

Staying together and staying confident is not how teams get used to losing and forget how to win. It's how teams overcome adversity.
