I absolutely agree that Steph shouldn't have been the MVP, that team is loaded, hell, the team set a 3point record in the playoffs without him.  Without Steph they are still a good team, he just adds that other missing element.  They will lose some depth after this year though, but their depth is really why they are so dangerous.

basically agree with all your points.

Best player in the league? Sure. Will not argue. Most Valuable? I'd rather go with someone like Leonard or Lillard.

I still think LeBron Is the MVP, im not even a big LeBron fan, but hes that guy that can go to any team and make them the favorite.  I love what Leonard has become.

LeBron is easily gonna be in the conversation any year, but I still am extremely impressed with what Lillard and Terry Stotts were able to do with that team. I don't think anyone saw them making the playoffs, at all, after LaMarcus Aldridge left.

Ill admit, I don't watch the regular season in the NBA, its just too many games.  So its hard for me to follow who does what all year.  I saw Lillard in the playoffs and damn, that kid is good.

Do you listen to Collin Cowherd by any chance?

I'm not a huge Cowherd fan, honestly. At least, I think it's him that will have fans call in because he's looking for an opinion and then tell the caller they're wrong and hang up.

Hahaha yea he does that, I find it hilarious.  Caller calls, makes half his point, Collin interrupts him and goes on and thanks him for the call lol.  He keeps saying that if there keeps being this many blowouts he things the NBA will look at changing the 3 point line or something.  Just thought it was interesting...I don't think it happens.

It's not the 3 point line; it's the undisciplined and poor play of some teams. Can we really blame a team for scoring wide open shots?

No.  How do you blame players who got good at something from practice?

I mean, anyone can make a wide open three more often than not in the NBA, but that's the issue- too many teams are allowing uncontested threes.

Like I said, I don't think Steph was some transcendent force or super valuable; he took advantage of a team that created amazing spacing and just rolled with it.

If he wouldn't have made it clear he wants bring a title to Cleveland,  then I would give it a shot.   He knows if he left it would ruin his legacy,  he cares more about being liked.

First time made sense.  Going back didn't imo,  but I predicted he would.

I feel like all he cares about is winning titles and it's not going to happen in Cleveland. I would not be a bit surprised if he left.

I think he realized he isnt going to win with the setup in Cleveland as is, they never should of got rid of Wiggins for Love, that is exactly who they need in this series. I dont think Kyrie even fits there with him, he plays too much iso and is a lest talented Westbrook imo.   I just dont think he would leave again because he would become that guy who quits when things are hard, it wouldnt matter how many titles he won.

Isn't he already that guy? I agree with what you're saying but he also needs other superstar players, I don't think he can win with just above average starters and a deep bench, and good luck convincing anybody that Cleveland is a place where they want to live.

Haha I think Noa from Chicago said that years ago, about nobody vacations in cleveland lol.

I would say Love and Kyrie are above average starters, but just not right for that team.  Also, Kyrie is terrible at defense and disappears way too much, game one and two he was basically non existent.  Also, a huge issue with Cleveland is their bench under performing, i know no team is going to be stacked like GS, but in a game where you win by 30 and your bench gives you 15 points....obviously thats an issue.

Agreed that is a problem. Can you see any scenario where he stays there and wins? I realistically can't, he plays for Cleveland because it's his hometown and they drafted him but who's gonna join him on that team that can help get them over the hump.

Not really. i dont see any type of young superstar guy going there. I know he is good friends with Carmello, but i dont know how that would play out.

I dont follow the NBA enough to know about FAs, but KD isnt going there, hes going to sing a one year deal to stay in OKC, so that way the next year he can sign a 200mill contract.  I dont know what Westbrook will do the  year after next, but i would much rather have him the Kyrie, no question.  I know that goes against my talk about Kyrie being an iso player, but i think Westbrook would feed off of LeBrons love to distribute.

Honestly, i think the whole hometown thing is overblown.  IMO, Lebron saw the aging heat, Wade and Bosch always being hurt, the role players were all older players and lost in the finals.  Then he saw a younger team with Kyrie, knew he could get Love to go there, so he was trading in a older roster for a younger one, while "going home" to win Cleveland a tittle just helped the PR move.  Also, LeBron has made it clear, he is from Akron, not Cleveland...which apparently means something in the area.

Another huge issue in Cleveland which i dont think i touched on, is the complete lack of chemistry.  In Miami, you saw them all joking around laughing, i dont think that is happening in Cleveland.  Miami was equal to a night out with the guys while Cleveland is sitting at your girlfriend's parents house forced to engage in conversation about her dads hobby of collecting stamps.

Agreed on all points, but I couldn't see westbrook going there either, and as long as Lebron is there I doubt they'll have a good enough draft pick to get the next superstar. I just don't see a way to get the right players around him.

I agree as well.  I know Westbrook wont leave, I think they both stay in OKC and give the warriors a good run the next couple years.

Onto Game 6

I'm not sure how I feel about living in a world where Draymond Green is the difference between a team winning and losing a series.

I've always thought that he was overrated. He's an amazing shooter and a good passer, but he's not a good defender and is only decent at everything else. He's proving that in some of the biggest games of his career he's vanished. He's just on a great team which is why there is success. He's one of the best in the world, but I'd take Westbrook over the guy every day of the week.
